Controlling the game well so far, would be nice if Ford stopped kicking the ball away though....

No surprise to see refs forgetting about the thing they're meant to be focusing on this 6N - scrum feeding in both games have been just as squint as last week and none penalised.

That's a lot of effort...fitness will be tested..lostinwales wrote:Wales have made 82 tackles so far - to 32
It also means England are not using the possession they have effectively.

What a surprise, a fight and Mike Brown is in the middle of it. He is a cranky little man.
Very poor from Farrell in that, that is the bad side to his game.

From memory last season it was high tackles - last year first round anything above the nipple was penalised, then went back to normal straight after.

This time I disagree with you...Farrell did nothing wrong...and he got surrounded. Is Brown not allowed to help his teammate?

I may be wrong but I think it has something to do with how Farrell went for the ball. The Wales 9 was picking the ball up and Farrell was stamping down with his foot on his hand.

I think his original attempt for the ball (stamping) was a little naughty. What I find poor was that England were under a warning for penalties and he has a little dig at the Welsh player on the ground right in front of the ref. Sometimes I think he needs to keep his cool better.

It wasn't a dig. He was competing. Farrell has been fantastic this half. Ford as much as I bigged him up last week has been poor.

And that could have been a penalty to England at the break. Wales diving over the ball to stop Robshaw competing when he was on his feet.
He's been everywhere.

England should be further in front at the break. Wales don’t back their 3rd choice kicker.

He did not stamp. He went to kick the ball which the ref had said was out of the ruck.eirebilly wrote:GeordieFalcon wrote:eirebilly wrote:What a surprise, a fight and Mike Brown is in the middle of it. He is a cranky little man.

Very borderline
Behave yourself. The only thing possibly borderline is the grounding, but it should’ve been a try. That said, wales don’t deserve to be two behind.

It is as good a game in the first half as i thought it would be.
Wale are missing half penny that is for sure.
Let.s hope the second half is just as good.

Just looked like a stamp to me to me on the Welsh players hand as he was trying to pick it up. The ball was out and that is the only offence I could see that would have led to a penalty.

Good hard game. Reckon we could pull away if we get the next score. Wales should probably have had a try, but the ref has completely ignored Wales going off their feet at the ruck on a couple of occasions, so it is all swings and roundabouts. I mean, England have only had one penalty when Wales could have easily be penalised on a number of other occasions.

Wales are off their feet every breakdown hands on the floor etc etc when will Hartley get in the Refs face like AWJ and make some noise?

Always a concern whilst the opposition are still in it, conditions aren't the best. Wonder if Wales will regret turning down the kicks at goal when they were on offer.

I think that the 'playing the 9' call may have been just situation which I described, just lost in translation somewhat? Otherwise then it was a very incorrect call as he had called the ball out.

Nonsense penalty....he's been letting players end up the wrong side all game and play on as long as the ball is available.

The officials have ruined this game. Its like Garces has invented his own rules for rugby. The breakdown has been officiated terribly and wales were denied a pretty clear try.
