So is it 2 this week as "pre-season", and then the season starts next week?
And are releases unlimited for pre-season or not?

Yes this week there's 2 as 'pre-season'.
Due to the issue with non-fifa players and as people may wish to upgrade youth players then I have no qualms with releases being unlimited pre-season unless anyone raises an objection to this.

Still 75% for releases isn't it? And 100% if they're not on Fifa

Re: Challenge League Homepage V
I have kept the fixtures spreadsheet as a way of recording results and automatically generating a league table.
In terms of the sharing/techie bit, that’s a bit beyond me.
Happy to have responsibility for a results page (suggest just putting them on the fixture page as we go through) and a league table.

Re: Challenge League Homepage V
So to make any edits to this, i think you will need a Google account (not hard or complicated to make) but this is a shared spreadsheet in a very basic format which should keep track of weekly amounts of things and it will be good to go back and check on things as we go. We can adjust it to suit as well as we go along, let me know.
I can hopefully do some fancy formulas as we get more weeks in the bag to calculate a total for mid season/end of season.

It'd be nice if it could add in all player ratings and then automatically find the highest in each given position to pull through the team of the week.

Yep, works now
I'll have a think on how best to automate it so the only thing that needs filling in is the weekly results, scorers, assists and player ratings
Hope you don't mind if I massacre some of what you've already done

If it's for the good of the league then it's fine mate. I only put a lot of stuff into the details so we i could display what it will look like and also checking that we can all work on it.
Surely it will depend on who has the highest rating Nadz? Usually there are LB's in the CB positions for example unless we set rules.

Re: Challenge League Homepage V
I was thinking 4-4-2 or 4-5-1/4-3-3
Will just automate it to take 4 highest rated defenders, 4/5 highest rated midfielders and 2/1 highest rated strikers?
I'd rather avoid the TOTW taking the Garth Crooks approach

Re: Challenge League Homepage V
I've been messing around with Miky's schedule and think I've got something that works, but I need someone to test it
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VM9eIonYMyXCXpQOBjAJylh3wihazcw8RKtLLHiD8HI/edit#gid=1996389080
Its not the easiest thing to update, but hopefully not impossible
Steps to update - copy the previous week's tab, change the week in Cell A2
Once the Games and Scorers section is updated by whoever is filling it in, inn theory, the goals and assists should auto populate in the Goalscorers, Assists and Player Rating section
The Summary at the end is not to be changed, the weekly data from that needs to be pasted into the bottom of the data tab
Weekly Summary tab
Shows the week's top goal scorers, assist makers and highest rated players in each of the 4 positions for Team of the Week
Each pivot table needs have the week changed manually to reflect the current week - Google Docs doesn't offer the ability to change all at the same time as far as I can tell
Team of the week auto populates based on the highest rated players - I've done this as a 4-4-2 but happy to change formation if that's the preference
Season Summary
Shows leading goal scorers and assist makers across the season
I want to build a team of the season in here, just need to figure out how - will try it once we have a few weeks of data
Stress test - please can someone help with this
I've run 4 dummy games, two in each week between Hero, Marky, Nando and me, filling in the scorers, assists and player ratings
As far as I can tell, this is being pulled through correctly into each of the weekly tabs, the weekly summary tab and the season summary tab for leading scorers and assists
Please could someone just play around with the inputs in orange in either tab, and see if its still making sense?
Hopefully this will make it easy to keep track of the stats!

Only update in cells that are orange, leave green cells alone!!!
Fill in Fixtures in cells B4:E8
Fill in players, positions and player ratings in the orange cells under each game from Column L to Column X
Fill in goal scorers and assists for each game on the left hand side from Column B to Column J (snigger) - Make sure that spelling and grammar is the same as it is in the starting lineups
Don’t change anything in Weekly summary box starting at column AC

Please can everyone who's done any transfer today ensure they edit it on the confirmation page to include the RL club that's involved as it really does help me keep track of the players. Even if they're released I need to know who to send them back to in case someone else in the future then buys them back.

Bam - is there any reason not to have all the weekly tabs setup in advance?
Whilst I can do the league table from it each week, if the tabs were setup already it can be setup to automatically update when scores are entered

That's fine Afro, I just kept the spreadsheet small when working on it for ease
Assuming everyone is happy that it's working as intended, you can duplicate the weekly tabs through to the end of the season

Morning Tino.
Releases and Domestics open and unlimited atm.
Foreigns open and limited to 2 each until Tuesday.
Then on Tuesday the season starts - 2 lawyers drawn, 2 more Releases (if wanted), injuries drawn on Wednesday and tactics in on Friday.
And it's you v Me first game.
Could you change your team name to WS Wanderers as well, as that is the team that will be used on FIFA, so will be easier to all change names then remember who is who

Re: Challenge League Homepage V
You still get the full value if they aren't on FIFA.
If we weren't using FIFA you could still play them twice to get a value, but as we are now using FIFA it is impossible to play them at all.
Therefore, you get their TM value
