Goalscorer Challenge

This is definitely my favourite “fantasy football” style game to play throughout the season.

Concept is pretty simple:

Each week, you pick a potential goalscorer from that week’s set of premier league fixtures. For any goal they score that gameweek, you get a point (so 1 point per goal). However, once you’ve picked that player, you cannot pick them again in the season.

You do this every week, including for international weeks (where it becomes more tactical as lesser players suddenly play weird fixtures against awful teams) and the FA Cup weeks too (again, a reserve might get a run-out against a non-league side).

As the season gets near to the end, it gets more difficult as you have usually run out of the likelier scorers. The great thing is that rarely do things seem insurmountable in the league as it is difficult to really get a huge lead.

i may have this, will have to see how much fantasy football, super six and other predictions leagues i end up in. been getting ridiculous previous seasons and would probably forget this one if its the same this year

i used hazard the week just gone. just submitted my international one, much trickier. i went for mhki and mitrovic because they are playing weak sides

Got Mkhitaryan tonight and have gone for Vokes next week. Was torn between him and Ramsey.

Also considered Mitrovic for this round, but figured I am more likely to use him in future weeks than I am Mkhit

Apparently it kicked off too early so wasn't on the list of fixtures. Passed me by completely.

Just was well he didn't score
