Can I move Brahim Diaz to the youth team as I have 26 players after today's transfers?

Shows the importance of tactics.

I struggled to a bottom half finish and have the highest total, whilst Twist won the title and has the lowest

I always felt I was close last season, despite the results not showing it. A little tweak made to my tactics seems to be working, and I’m the Leicester of this league Cool

Gonna be quite a knockdown when we reset for next season, going from Neymar and Dybala to some League 2 meathead etc (if we choose League 2).

I still think (and would be up for organizing) a draft of some sorts for season 4

10 teams. 20 similar rated players per position. Snake draft order (ie. pick at 1 and 20, 2 and 19 etc)

Would take a little time I guess would be the main issue

Apart from the time issue (which is more an annoyance than a real issue) my other issue with a draft would be the initial power level of the teams would probably end up already too high.
I'd like the league to start off really quite towards the bottom end of power, if we drafted at that bog end then that could end up really badly for some managers who don't research the players. Whilst I'd like all managers to have/gain a modicum of knowledge about their team as the league goes on I think it's unreasonable to expect managers to research circa 250 players from league 2.

Whilst I fancy a draft, this would massively add to the set-up work for Hero. With pre-existing teams, he takes them as they are on FIFA. With draft teams he has to move in all the players for all the teams, and move out all the existing players for the team he is using as proxy.

I think it isn't worth doing a draft and taking existing teams would be better

Leagues I was thinking of using...

Argentina Superliga
Austria Bundesliga
Chile Campeonato
Chinese Super League
Colombian Liga Aguila
Denmark Alka Superliga
England Football League 2
Germany 3. Liga
Japan Yasuda J1
Korea K League
Mexico Liga MX
Norway Eliteserien
Poland Ekstraklasa
Rep Ireland SSE League
Saudi Arabia Jameel League
Sweden Allsvenskan
Switzerland Super League
USA MLS

Of the above my preference is the Republic of Ireland, Switzerland or again using the Australian as they each have 10 teams in their league so it's tidier for me when scrolling through the teams and moving players about etc.

Initially I thought that having similar level teams from different leagues, but I can definitely see the benefit of picking a single league. I'm not fussed about having similar level teams tbh and whether I have the worse team or not

Is there any likelihood of attracting additional managers now, given how well the league has worked?

It'd be great if we could, even getting back some of the guys from yesteryear, sure the likes of Viva and Azzy would love the idea of a Fifa based results league.

Also some of the ratings for Fifa 19 have been released.  100-81 currently out and I can see a lot of pace downgrades Laugh EA doing the dirty on Vidal and Robben pacewise

Don't mind which league, also don't mind whether its a standard set up or draft set up

If we want longevity and it to be more than a stockmarket league, then we have to limit the number of players immediately released from the starting squad to immediately bring in higher value players

I'd also put a cap on the rating of players that can be brought into the league in the first season, incrementally increasing it

Agreed. Limited releases, rating cap (would be like a realistic league in the sense that no one with that high a rating would move to a lowly league). Also a lower level of weekly bonus, which can increase as the league progresses

I'd propose a cap ratings wise of the following:

Season 1: Start 70, mid season increase to 75
Season 2: Start 80, mid season increase to 80
Season 3: Start 85, mid season increase to unlimited
Season 4: FIFA 20 restart.

With the cap ratings that's only for players coming into the league, if a player rating goes up whilst at a team in the league they're not then forced to sell them, if they do though then whilst they have the higher rating they can't then return to the league until the cap increases.

Do the ratings go up? I thought we had to fix it on a particular date otherwise it reset all the teams?

Either way, that looks fine to me other than I think you meant increase to 85 mid-season 2

Yes should have been...

Season 1: Start 70, mid season increase to 75
Season 2: Start 80, mid season increase to 85
Season 3: Start 90, mid season increase to unlimited
Season 4: FIFA 20 restart.

I'd look to download the most recent patches between seasons (and the moving around of squads would have to be redone as result but that's fine).

Do we want to consider also playing the Brisbane-Newcastle game from week 2. Seems a shame to have a default win.

Only if it's not too much work. Likewise, if the tactics for this week have already been done, not too worried about re-doing them to make it easier.

Doubt Hero will mind re running the week 2 game, and he hasn't done the week 3 one yet, will just mean Nando wasted his time but he has plenty to waste so I wouldn't worry

Basically FIFA updates player ratings on a weekly basis based on RL performances and feedback. Sometimes they'rre minor changes, sometimes it results in a overall player rating going up/down.
With manually moving players around between teams to create our teams for the league I cannot do the updates on a weekly basis, as in doing so would result in all players resetting to their RL club.
It kindly did a forced update on me mid March which resulted in me having to work through all the teams for a couple of nights again adding them, the update though did result in a few players values changing.
What I'd suggest is that between seasons I do the updates (and then move players about again), so RL form has more of a consideration in the league.

I'm okay to do that week 2 game again, as long as Nadz is okay with it ?

So to avoid that, what players could be ineligible?  Whistle
