Had a bit of a tidy of the Scorers and Assists lists yesterday. My file looks up on name and I had chucked a couple of typos in so some players appeared more than once. In fact Nando's Uche appeared 3 times, as I had misspelt once and then chucked a random space after his name another time!

Thanks for drawing lawyers and injuries Dolph.
Got quite a bit on this morning, so will draw the outstanding ones, plus do the lawyer values later, unless someone else can help?

Does anyone have any complaints if I stop tracking yellow cards?
The only way I have of tracking it is to watch every game. I thought it would show me a card against anyone on the stats at the end of the game. It does for those still on the pitch, but not if they have been subbed off.
And they are so few and far between that it feels a bit pointless

No issues here at all. What's the average, one yellow every 10 games? Seems pointless.Afro wrote:Does anyone have any complaints if I stop tracking yellow cards?

I've had the same with a couple of players - their stats say they're great, but they've been outplayed by a 61-rated guy. Really odd.Afro wrote:TwisT wrote:What's wrong with Dae man....he is great!

Rework the fixture list, give wins to all players against managerless teams.
Seriously on this, if we wanted to do this then the time to do it would be in two weeks time as we will then be halfway through and have played everyone once
Any thoughts?
It would be dropping Bury and Newport, possibly MK Dons? Also Exeter if Trebs was still looking to quit?

I have no problem with that. Would that also mean dropping these teams for the second half and cutting the season down by 3 games?
Also, what have I missed? When did Trebs say he may quit?

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage III
Trebs has been hinting at it in Press Conferences for weeks.
If he doesn't want to, then great, but if he does then this is an opportunity
It would be drop the teams from the second half and have less weeks. Whether you expunge the results relating to those teams or give everyone 3 points is up for debate, but the net result is the same all round.
Would be simple for me to remove their results from results page and table. Assists and scorers less so, but still straight forward.
Seems silly Hero having to run the games involving those teams each week.

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage III
Ah I see, sorry I haven't had time to be really involved so haven't watched other games or read press conferences.
Cutting it down would mean the season would finish more or less at the end of the PL season? Might be a good time to pause, maybe see if other people want to come in before we do an update and start season 2. I am really enjoying the fifa league so wouldn't want it to finish totally. I agree it seems silly for Hero to run games.
I would say all results need to be expunged rather than giving everyone 3 points. As for squads I would say those players aren't available until season end.

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage III
My opinion is:
Play next two weeks as it stands to get to half way point
Drop Newport and Bury definitely
See whether Trebs wants to carry on, and make decision on MK and Exeter based on that
Expunge results
Players are effectively released, so are off limits for 1 calendar month

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage III
Hey guys, looking at what's been said....
I've complained at times (tried to keep it to a minimum believe it or not) but the rules problems aren't the end of the world. I just don't get the same enjoyment over writing a set of fifa tactics compared to old school, or in doing transfers for players based off FIFA ratings and hoping for TM boosts (I even thought to myself that I'd only do domestic transfers and ban myself from foreigns to make it more fun).
Anyway, I've been as committed as possible - watching the games every week, keeping Exeter a competitive side, getting tactics, PCs etc in on time every single time. My thoughts were that I would stick it out to the end of the season.
I must say that Olly must be noncing about - he can't be taking it seriously. I'd be ashamed of myself if it was me, sat with MK Dons in the bottom half of the table.

Definitely no questioning your commitment mate and it is appreciated.
I was just aware that it wasn't your bag compared to old style and that you were only seeing out the season, so if you had had enough, this is a chance to call it a day. You can still join in the banter, without having to worry about keeping a team ticking over.
If you want to keep going until the end of the season, then that is great and you are always wanted. We then keep MK Dons and revisit at the end of the season

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage III
If that is the alternative, you're staying whether you like it or not!!
So the proposal is:
Any objections?
So the proposal is:
- Play the next two round of matches as they stand
- After those games, we drop Newport and Bury
- Results for those games are expunged from the table
- Fixtures for the second half of the season will be redone to exclude those teams.
- Players from those teams are all released and are therefore off limits for 1 calendar month (which I make to be 26th April)
- After 1 calendar month they can be signed from foreigns providing they fulfil the rules on foreign signings i.e. the 70 rating cap
- I will not redo the scorers or assists list, as it is a bugger doing it (esp assists as I don't have a record of which games the assists were from
Any objections?
