To the tune of 3 Lions:
"We are going down,
We're going down
We're going.
Tigers going down,
We're going down,
We're going."

Leicester to go down then. At the weekend they certainly played like it.GeordieFalcon wrote:Well ive heard rumours that its coming in this season. So i'll be interested to see if my source is correct or not.
Irish to be promoted and no relegation or Wuss or Falcons.

Not sure...ive just said on the other run in thread...tough games for all three next week..
Saracens away for us next and Wasps away for Worcester.
I cant see us getting anything, but Wuss could get something at Wasps...
Tigers have Exeter at home...tough game.

Hell, it could easily be between us and Wasps.

Wasps, Bears, Bath and Tigers should be worried as Falcons and Wuzz are playing better rugby at the moment.

Newcastle already have more points than any team relegated since they went down with 32 points in 2012.
Saints went down with 33 in 2007, Quins with 38 in 2005, Bristol with 34 in 2003. These are the only sides to have been relegated with more than 30 points since we introduced 4 points for the win and bonus points. It does look as though we may see a record broken.

Re: The Prem Run in - Who will go down?
Honestly though if Tigers were faced with relegation I can see stronger stand from PRL to find excuses for it not to happen ( as they have or tried to have in other seasons)> not just because Tigers are relatively influential in that group but also because of the financial draw they have for the whole competition. Losing one of the best supported and long term stable clubs would be a huge issue for everyone. It will certainly strengthen a case from the pragmatist/businessman POV to have franchised elite league. From a romantic/sporting/justice perspective relegation is great and shouldnt be a case of some clubs being able to dodge it, but in the real world it has the potential to damage the wider pro game. Having so many core England players suddenly without a premiership club would also send the RFU into eyebrow raising mode.
The next two fixtures could see Tigers either in desperate trouble or looking fairly secure so they really need to get their act together. Id still assume its between the bottom two, but things might be a lot clearer in a couple of weeks.
Purely from a drama perspective its great to have a tight run in relegation battle, this year things look pretty dull at the top with Exeter and Saracens run away favourites. But as noted above the relegation battle is far closer with more teams in the mix than it often has been. Theres not a stand out bad team so more games are meaningful.
Anyway it pans out this could be the last or one of the last relegation scarps we get, so its good that it might be a classic with lots of twists to come.

We're about to lose Calum Green for a lengthy ban so its irrelevant...we lose half our pack savy with him gone...so we're in trouble.

He bit Rob Webber's arm. Though from the footage, it looks as though Webber had Green around the head in a pretty nasty lock. I think Webber's been cautioned

Yeah Webber got a Citing Officer's caution - so effectively a retrospective yellow card.
