Womens Super Series
The top five womens XVs teams - NZ, England, Canada France & USA - are playing a Super Series in San Diego. Results have been interesting, with Canada beating France, and France beating New Zealand. England have so far beaten USA (comfortably) and Canada (narrowly).
The match between France and NZ saw a yellow card against a French player overturned by the TMO, with the carded player coming back on. Can't recall seeing that before. In the highlights video below, you can see the passage of play starting around the 1:05 mark. The referee penalizes the French hooker for being offside on the NZ side of the ruck (she also shoves the NZ half back at the 1:18). The TMO advised that the hooker was only in that position because she had been bodychecked by the Black Ferns No.8 two seconds earlier, when she was trying to run a legal line. The bodycheck took her into the path of the NZ half back.

Re: Womens Super Series
I didn't see that game, just the England-Canada game.
Certainly in that fixture I wasn't overly impressed by the refereeing.
There were quite a few infringements that were missed on both sides! England should have definitely had a yellow card in the 1st half for talking a player without the ball. Numerous offsides from Canada late in the 2nd half were not picked up.
Still, the roses got the result in the end - it was a gamble picking on paper what looked to be a very inexperienced side. The swing in the end was the experience off the bench - Scarrett, Riley etc.

Re: Womens Super Series
Big match for the Red Roses tonight against France, who are coming off a win against New Zealand. We are fielding our strongest team.

Re: Womens Super Series
Narrow 20-18 win for England. France led 5-18 at half-time but the Red Roses score fifteen unanswered points, finally going into the lead with a penalty around the 70th minute.

England have now moved ahead of NZ to top the world rankings, and will retain that spot if they beat NZ on Sunday.
As it stands, England are three points ahead of NZ after three matches, as NZ lost to France. However, NZ have one more bonus point than England, so any victory over them will see them top the Super Series table.

Re: Womens Super Series
Forgot to add that New Zealand did for England at the weekend. Didn't see the match but it sounds like New Zealand were comfortably better, after falling behind 10-3 initially.
