Saddened to learn today that Harley Race passed away, losing his battle with lung cancer.

A former 8x NWA Heavyweight Champion, Race was also the second ever WWF King of the Ring and an inductee into multiple halls of fame. His bouts with the Funks, Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair are the stuff of legend in the heyday of the territories.

Regarded not only as one of the toughest illegitimate childen aka Pal Joeys to lace up a pair of boots, but one of the greatest. A sad day for wrestling. RIP Handsome Harley Race.
