Re: WALES VS ENGLAND - MATCH THREAD - Friendly????
Yes, Eddie would have got marginally more out of the two games in terms of seeing fringe players and different combinations. As LiW stated, Wales have basically flogged their first XV twice, characterised by again keeping their fly half on for far longer than they should have two weeks in a row (lack of trust beyond?). Mind you, both sides played some pretty ropey rugby last weekend and will look to improve. That was a shocking game both in terms of skill and as a spectacle. Wales dragged England into one of this terrible games post-ELVs of about 10 years ago.Gatland does seem to have played his hand very early though in terms of personnel and tactics (kick chase and defence).

Yes that is all Wales managed at home against a part 2nd choice England team with a makeshift backrow, and that against 13 men.
What is it - 15 games out of 16? Boring teams to death is certainly working for you. No question Wales have a lot of strengths, and they are very tough on defense - (we'll let the Twickenham game go because Wales were rusty and probably not at an ideal stage in their prep) - but they are not scoring a lot of points either. Cardiff is certainly a fortress, but the only win away from home against Oz/NZ/SA in that time was at a neutral venue.

Please do not call others out as WUMs publicly. If you feel a post is problematical, flag it.
These last two games have been done to death now. Time for all of us to look forwards. So I am locking the thread.
Both Wales and England have generic preparation threads. All nationalities can go on either thread to DISCUSS things. Please note however that English going on the Welsh thread and Welsh on the English with the sole intention of antagonising will not be tolerated.
