SURREY VS SOMERSET/ESSEX VITALITY T20 BLAST
Surrey have named a squad for 13 for Tuesday’s Vitality Blast match with Somerset at a sold out Kia Oval.
Conor McKerr is the only member of the 14 that travelled to the victory of Kent to drop out of the squad. He will be involved with the 2nd XI in a three-day fixture at Yorkshire, starting on Tuesday.
FULL SQUAD
Jade Dernbach (c)
Gareth Batty
Scott Borthwick
Jordan Clark
Rikki Clarke
Sam Curran
Aaron Finch
Ben Foakes
Will Jacks
Ryan Patel
Ollie Pope
Mark Stoneman
Imran Tahir
Borthwick on the verge of being named in every single squad and not played once
Should be Clarke instead of our specialist fielder sadly it probably wont be.
Over to you chaps

Never change a winning team jimbob!
To be fair to specialist fielder, when he got a bat, he quickly scored a single to get Jacks back on strike! But I can see where you're coming from with his bowling.....there's a simple solution there....

Annoys me that once again there was no cricket to speak of over a bank holiday weekend. Do the people who draw up fixtures have any idea? Also the way that we have about 8 CC matches in April/May and then hardly any again until late August - and then people are surprised when those expected to play in test matches are out of form/practice. Rant over.

Another t20 win, what a knock from Finchy! I was going to do my usual depressed post when Somerset were 80-0 off 8 overs....imagine what we could do if we bowled tighter early on?!

Up the Amazon without a paddle and only occasional internet access (similar to Surrey much of this season). Could we actually still qualify for the knockout stages?

We can Guildford, it'll take an extraordinary set of results though.....starting with us beating Essex tomorrow!

Same team! Essex win toss and bat
So, if we win, we need Gloucester to beat Kent, and Hampshire to beat Middlesex tonight

We've started ok for once 49-3 in 7th over
Even if those results happen tonight Guildford, we've still got imponderables tomorrow!

Wow, well bowled Captain and Sam Curran, just 62 off the last 4 overs from the 2 'internationals'

Lost by 19 runs, we'll finish 2nd bottom, which is about right. Hopefully, for me, Dernbach's last match

I really hope so. Should certainly never be captain again. We really need to loook at the overseas 'stars' we sign for these as although he's got better, Tahir has not done any better than perhaps Virdi or VDB might have.
