Murray Out of the Australian Open
Andy Murray has been forced to pull out of the Australian Open due to a pelvic injury. He will also miss the inaugral ATP Cup afterwards. His recovery from hip surgery has gone better than could have been hoped so caution is,the best policy.

Gutting for Murray but it's not the hip. Thought he might struggle to make the AO when I heard he'd been unable to do his usual Miami December training stint.
Plan is that he will return in February and at least he won't have to contend with any five-setters until the French.

Yes it is no disaster - just disappointing. However, it does give him the chance to work on his fitness along the lines of what he does in his training camp in Miami.
