Re: Scotland V England - The Calcutta Cup
Dropping Ford and keeping Farrell is based on very little other than reputation, one is clearly playing better than the other.
I find it infuriating when Fords sole mistake gets highlighted but all the good he does gets ignored, aside from that one kick his kicking was very good in the conditions and from hand he's simply better than Farrell is. One of them has had multiple meltdowns in the past year and the other has bailed him out.

Ah but Falcons have a promising youngster - name escapes me but something to do with water.

Matt Dawson bigging him up in the beeb website. Though you have to wonder because Sky have given Farrell a better score out of 10 than Ford for the last two weeks.
Farrell was better against Scotland but it would be hard to be as dire as he was Vs France again. Eddie won't drop him even though he probably needs to, I think a fired up Farrell off the bench would probably be better than an off the boil one starting again and offering little.

Re: Scotland V England - The Calcutta Cup
England missed a chance for a scrum in Scotlands 22 by not knowing the rules (the ref missed it too). A 22 meter drop out by Hogg went all the way into Englands in goal area which Ford touched down. The ref called a 22 drop out to England but it should have been a scrum back.
Happened on the 27th minute.
Same thing happened in 2016 in the same fixture to Scotland.

Good spot that collapse. Apparently scrum or retake the kick so shouldn't have been our 22 drop out at all. It's bad when the refs dont know the laws.

I like those sorts of rare occurrences. Didn't spot it at all.

Good spot. Probably doesn’t happen often, except in crazy wind like that.

Yes, look at how much better Youngs was off the bench against Scotland. Straight away a far better impact on the game. Faz would I think respond well to benching.
