*The show opens with a recap of last week and the attack from James McManus on Marty Helms whilst Miss Jessica watches. The scene is then live in Jessica’s office and she is congratulating McManus on making the best decision of his career. She says Marty Helms had the same opportunity but he spat it back in her face and now he’s going to pay. She says everyone who has ever crossed her will pay and that means Dante Phoenix too because he has something she wants and she won’t rest until she gets it. That means it is James McManus’ turn to teach him a lesson. McManus says he is happy to take Phoenix out but he also wants more revenge on Helms before moving toward the top of the mountain. Jessica promises McManus he can have whatever he likes if he makes her happy.

*Crime Lord is interviewed by Travis Sharp but he makes it clear there is little to say. He says it’s a sham that he has to be in the Road to Royalty because he should have had an automatic rematch with Jackson Jackson but at least Jessica saw fit to present him with a bye. Crime Lord brushes over the loss last week and says that when it matters he delivers and he’ll prove that tonight and at Scars and Stripes when he becomes King of 6CW

*We get a recap of the attack by Ojore on Liam Wood last week and then we get a live feed of Wood talking with Fleur Michaels. Wood is banged up but says nothing was going to stop him from being here tonight in the same way that nothing will stop him from beating Crime Lord to book his spot in the semi-finals of the RTR. Wood promises that he will seek retribution on the Wolf Gang when the time is right

Bout 1
Road to Royalty Quarter Final
Crime Lord vs Liam Wood

*Proving Grounds begins with the commentators hyping the Road To Royalty tournament and the first match of the evening, the first quarter final of the tournament, Liam Wood vs Crime Lord.

*"Back In Black" blares out through the speakers as Crime Lord makes his way down to the ramp. The commentators discuss how Crime Lord was left high and dry by Marty Helms last time out and the defeat he suffered.

*As "Revival Mode" hits and Liam Wood walks to the ring, the commentators discuss the attack on Wood on the previous edition of Proving Grounds and how he is far from 100% going into the match.

*The bell rings to kick things off, Wood and Crime Lord lock-up and Wood is easily overpowered to the corner. Crime Lord beats away at him with punches but Wood manages to wriggle free from the situation and then unloads on Crime Lord with some quick strikes of his own followed by a Yakuza Kick. He gets the first cover of the match but Crime Lord is quick to kick out.

*Wood tries to set a quick pace in the contest, first allowing Crime Lord to his feet only to hit him with a quick underhook suplex. He follows that by flying off the top rope to hit a big lariat, then running to the apron and springboarding in to hit a dropkick as Crime Lord rises.

*After the kick out, Wood switches to more powerful moves. He takes Crime Lord down with a tiger suplex, he rolls up and walks straight into a reverse swinging STO for another close pinfall.

*Wood beats down on Crime Lord with a ground and pound offence before letting the veteran up to his feet. He throws Crime Lord into the ropes and hits an impressive snap belly to belly suplex on the rebound, Wood then connects with a snap DDT for another pin attempt as the commentators discuss how Wood is trying to get things done early.

*Liam Wood allows Crime Lord up to his feet and then tries to Irish whip him into the corner but Crime Lord uses his power to reverse the momentum. He sprints in but Wood nails a flapjack, Crime Lord falls out of the corner into a superkick for the closest pin so far.

*After the kick out, Wood locks in a full nelson hold but Crime Lord is quick to get to his feet and then counters with a big jawbreaker. Wood stumbles back and then runs the ropes but Crime Lord plants him into the canvas with a huge pop-up powerbomb.

*The momentum of the contest changes following this. After a kick out from Wood, Crime Lord drags him up and throws Wood around the ring with a careless abandon, hitting a couple of suplexes before releasing. Wood rolls up and Crime Lord throws him down with a German suplex then covers for a close call.

*Wood ends up being stomped down upon by Crime Lord who then applies a powerful looking abdominal stretch that takes Wood a while to get to his feet from. Crime Lord then simply drives him into the canvas with a pumphandle slam.

*Crime Lord beats down on Wood once more before letting him up. He throws Wood to the corner, he tries to spring back off the ropes but Crime Lord catches him and hits a backbreaker followed by a fallaway slam to cover again.

*Crime Lord locks in an armbar hold, he brings up Wood to hit a couple of clotheslines before releasing and allowing Wood to rise.

JT: Crime Lord setting up for the Lock N Load...

JR: This would surely spell the end for Wood in this match despite his tremendous efforts.

Crime Lord goes for the F5 but Wood manages to counter with an arm drag. Crime Lord rolls to his feet and swings wildly at Wood who ducks underneath and hits a pele kick. Crime Lord then falls straight into a discus elbow smash. Wood covers.

Ref: 1..........................2.................Kick out!

JT: That looked like it might be the end for Wood but somehow he managed to escape and nearly got the win there out of nowhere.

HL: He'll need to get this done quickly, he's running on empty after that brutal beatdown and Crime Lord won't let him off the hook again.

Wood allows Crime Lord to his feet, he sets up for a suplex but Crime Lord counters and drops Wood down. He lifts him onto his shoulders for a Powerbomb but Wood pummels down on the head of Crime Lord who falls towards the ropes and ends up dropping Wood on the apron. Crime Lords turns around...

JR: SPEAR FROM THE APRON!

Ref: 1...........................2.......................Kick out!

Crime Lord kicks out. Wood drags him up and sets up for the Manson Driver but when he goes to lift Crime Lord his legs give away a little. He tries again but once more can't get Crime Lord into the air. Crime Lord then counters with a big back body drop. Wood rolls to his feet and walks straight into a brogue kick from Crime Lord.

Ref: 1.............................2.....................Kick out!

Wood forces the shoulder up. Crime Lord drags him up and hits one powerbomb, he keeps the hold applied and walks to the corner to hit a turnbuckle powerbomb. Wood stumbles out of the corner straight into a clothesline from hell, Crime Lord covers.

Ref: 1.................................2......................Kick out!

Wood again kicks out. Crime Lord drags him up, he hits a knee to the gut and slings Wood over his shoulders...

HL: LOCK N LOAD!

Ref: 1...............................................2.................................................3!

Ding, Ding, Ding!

JT: This one is over, an incredibly brave effort from Liam Wood but he was still clearly feeling the effects of that vicious beatdown he took last week.

JR: It was a brave effort but ultimately it's Crime Lord who advances to the next stage of the Road To Royalty

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 12:59 am

*Dante Phoenix is shown getting ready in his locker-room when Dicey Reilly enters. They have a brief conversation and Dicey mentions about looking over what Phoenix had shown him. Dicey tells Phoenix to watch his back and Dante offers the same warning, telling Dicey that any affiliation between the two will out a target on Reilly’s back. Dicey smirks and says he’s been around the block enough times to know there’ll always be a target from someone

*Jimmy Phillips is in Miss Jessica’s office talking about what he did to Dante Phoenix last week on her behalf. Jessica says she is impressed and that Phillips will be rewarded if he keeps fulfilling his duties to her. JP proposes that if he beats Jackson Jackson tonight he should be named #1 Contender at Scars and Stripes. Jessica says it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility and Phillips says as long as the shot isn’t going to one of these old timers that are sucking 6CW dry. Jessica smirks and says she has an idea of something else Phillips can do, call it taking out the trash.

*Charles Kramer is talking with Christy James about the RTR. Kramer says there is no question that his nephew will win the tournament and announce himself as the fastest rising star in 6CW. He refuses to talk about what Marshall Murdoch did to him last week but says there are always consequences for people’s actions. He then leads on from that by hinting that Jessica’s grip on control is slipping and that not even hired henchmen can save her from the reckoning. Kramer says perhaps a change in leadership is in the offing but remains coy when questioned on whether he means himself or someone else.

Bout 2
Dante Phoenix vs James McManus

*The commentators recap on the issues between Dante Phoenix and Miss Jessica whilst debating what role James McManus may now play after his newfound alliance with the boss

*Phoenix starts brightly with a running dropkick that catches McManus off guard, wiping him off his heat. McManus staggers back up into a spinning heel kick and then a front flip foot stomp for a two count.

*Phoenix lifts McManus into a suplex position and then just releases him at full height, letting him fall, hard on his back. Phoenix then goes up high and nails a twisting splash that once again gains him a two count.

*The commentary team talk about McManus’ poor form as of late and whether he can turn that around with Miss Jessica on his side as Phoenix prepares for the “From the Ashes” roundhouse kick but McManus dodges it and nails a big kneebreaker before running off the ropes and returns with a huge knee trembler to the head for a nearfall. Phoenix gets back up but McManus kicks his legs out from under him and applies a figure four.

*Phoenix fights against the submission but is in a whole world of pain. McManus cranks up the pressure but Phoenix sustains minutes of pain before managing to get back to the ropes and force a break. McManus argues with the referee and then he drags Phoenix up and sets up for a tombstone. Phoenix drops behind and then scoops McManus onto his shoulders but McManus elbows his way free and hits a devastating half nelson release suplex, dumping Phoenix on the back of his neck but once again it only registers a two.

*McManus takes a risk by climbing to the top rope and it allows Phoenix to springboard onto the ropes before shooting across with a step up kick that knocks McManus from his senses. Phoenix then climbs up onto the top rope to score with an “island driver” but McManus somehow finds the bottom rope with his foot

*Phoenix rolls out onto the apron and attempts a slingshot DDT but McManus catches him and throws him back into the corner. McManus runs in but Phoenix spins around the ropes with a feint kick over the top, knocking McManus back, before going up top and scores with a meteora. McManus stumbles up and eats a “downward spriral” for another two

JR: These Dante Phoenix matches are becoming something to behold here on Proving Grounds…

HE: Shame he can’t win any of them….

JT: I’d wager he’d be winning a damn site more of them if Miss Jessica wasn’t screwing him over at every opportunity….

JR: Phoenix is going to look to end it now though….WHAT IS HE DOING OUT HERE?

Phoenix is preparing for his finishing roundhouse kick when Mike Hill comes swaggering out onto the stage. Phoenix has his hand on his hips and looks annoyed as he approaches the ropes…

JT: Hill has no business being out here….no doubt yet more mindgames from our “impartial” boss…

HE: That’s slander, you have no proof of that….Mike Hill is an up and coming manager here in 6CW and perhaps he’s just looking to expand his portfolio….

JR: If you say so, Henry….we all know this is a set-up…

Phoenix is pointing at Hill and asking the referee what he’s doing out here…

JT: I’m surprised Phoenix is even trusting the referee’s judgement after what happened to him last week…

HE: RIVER WENSUM!

McManus suddenly spins Phoenix around, kicks him in the stomach, and drills him with the underhook facebuster…

1.
..
..
…..2
..
..
………………kickout!

JR: Phoenix survived….the robbery has been thwarted…

McManus demands that the referee should count faster and then gets back up to his feet. He ignores Mike Hill, who is still on the walkway, and then he beckons Phoenix up before scooping him on his back….

HE: He won’t be thwarting much more after this…MK…

Phoenix rolls down the back and pulls McManus to the floor before he rolls back onto his feet and connects with a brutal roundhouse kick to the temple….

JT: THAT’S A BLATANT DISQUALIFICATION…..WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

JR: We all know what this is but that doesn’t make it any more sickening….that doesn’t make it right….

HE: I think it’s brilliant…

Phoenix lands the kick to McManus head and then he turns around into a brutal chairshot to the skull from Ricky Nelson. The referee watches the impact and does nothing…

JR: Every single goddamn official on this roster is now in Jessica’s back pocket as well…

JT: She is desperate to get her hands on whatever information Dante Phoenix has on her…

HE: She’s building an army….

Nelson smirks as Mike Hill applauds from the stage and then he tosses the chair aside. James McManus stumbles back to his feet and he pulls Phoenix, who is covered in blood, to his feet before decimating him with an “MK Ultra II”….

JR: Just an unnecessary exclamation point…Phoenix is already out….

HE: He’ll think twice about ever crossing Jessica again after this…

1…………………..2……………………..3!

JT: Dante Phoenix has been ripped off again here tonight…..Miss Jessica’s plan for silencing him is coming to startling and horrific reality…

HE: Phoenix thought he’d hit a hole in one when he walked out of Cherry Falls with that folder but he opened Pandora’s Box and now he’s paying the price….you shouldn’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong…

JR: Phoenix is a damn victim of circumstance….he went to Cherry Falls to end his feud with Engel Harlequin, he didn’t ask for this war with Miss Jessica….I have no idea what she’s covering up but this is getting out of hand….

JT: McManus and Nelson on the payroll as well as Jimmy Phillips and, it seems, the entire refereeing outfit…

JR: She holds all the aces…

HE: Dante Phoenix and anyone else thinking of crossing her should watch this back and learn a very valuable lesson….Miss Jessica is restoring order with merciless justice…

JT: They said she was losing her grip, that the 6CW roster was out of control….

JR: But she’s always maintained that this is organised chaos….that the inmates do not run this “asylum” and maybe now we are starting to see that…..history dictates that Miss Jessica is not someone you want to get on the wrong side of…

JT: I’d say dangerous times are afoot for 6CW….

Dante Phoenix is left in a pool of blood as Mike Hill climbs into the ring to raise both Ricky Nelson and James McManus’ arms. They look down at Phoenix and smirk before leaving the ring, heading toward the backstage area.

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

*Perfect Jack is shown training ahead of his match with Karl Kramer when Clarke James enters the room. Jack jokes that it’s three weeks running and that people will start talking. CJ says he’s just here for support and once the pubs reopen they won’t see him for dust. PJ says it’s good to have his friend back, in any capacity, but maybe he should visit Marshall whilst he’s here. James changes the subject and then wishes PJ luck, promising to have his back if he needs it.

*The Wolf Gang are on screen with a press conference-esque promo, Reborn up on a podium. Reborn is ranting about the injustice of pro wrestling and compares it to what is happening all around the world but he won’t stand for it anymore and neither will his brothers in arms. Reborn promises to win RTR and become a World Champion that 6CW can be proud of because once he has the belt everyone will have to listen to him. Reborn then assures Liam Wood and Uryu Ishida that the Wolf Gang are not finished with them and they take their calls for a fight very seriously.

*Charles Kramer is back in the locker-room with Karl Kramer and he’s hyping him up in front of the cameras (Paul Heyman/Brock Lesnar style) as he promises the world that you are looking at the King of 6CW. The Consultant urges Perfect Jack to reconsider even coming to their match because he will be decimated and destroyed by the most dominant force in sports entertainment today.

Bout 3
Road to Royalty Quarter Final
Karl Kramer vs Perfect Jack

*Proving Grounds returns to air with the three commentators talking up the next match as Perfect Jack is shown on the cameras making his way down the ramp. He then stretches in the corner waiting for the arrival of his opponent.

*"O Fortuna" kicks in as Karl Kramer walks to the ring as the commentators discuss his chances in the tournament.

*The bell rings to kick the match off. Kramer attempts to use his power game to dominate Perfect Jack from the get-go but he first uses some speed to avoid to the lock-up attempt and then picks off Kramer from afar with various strikes and takedown techniques. However, he is unable to keep the giant Kramer down for long with his takedowns.

*Perfect Jack manages to get an armbar locked in on Kramer, who throws him into the ropes but Jack boots him in the face on the rebound. He uses this as an opening and manages to throw Kramer down with a traditional vertical suplex. He follows that up with a ground and pound attack of fists before covering. There is quite a quick kick out from Kramer.

*Jack attacks with knees to the back, he drags up Kramer and tries for some punches but Kramer blocks it. This opens up an opportunity for Karl Kramer. He attacks Jack with a series of headbutts and then launches his rival into the ropes and flattens him with a leaping crossbody block in the middle of the ring leading to his first pin attempt.

*Perfect Jack kicks out from that. Karl Kramer then dominates the next phase of the match-up, scoring a series of close pinfalls with a combination of his various power-based moves - such as a running powerslam, backbreaker and a standing side slam.

*Kramer switches tact and goes on the attack with strikes, he hits a series of big elbows to the face of Perfect Jack to back him into the ropes. He throws him into the ropes and then returns to his power-based game with a pop-up powerbomb to score the closest pinfall so far.

*Kramer then positions Perfect Jack in the corner, he goes for a stinger splash but Jack moves at the last moment and Kramer crashes into the turnbuckles. Perfect Jack rolls him up into a pinfall position.

*Perfect Jack uses this opening to get in some offence. He attacks with strikes until Kramer gets up, Jack then snapmares him back down and follows that up with a running dropkick to go for his second pinfall.

*Perfect Jack is then forced to try and use some grappling offence against Kramer. He's successful in hitting two vertical suplexes but instead of going for the third, Jack switches up and connects with a DDT instead of attempting the three amigo's suplex. That earns a near fall.

*Jack earns couple more falls with an atomic drop/running forearm combination, a German suplex attack. Following this, Jack launches Kramer into the corner, he hits a running knee to the back before lifting Kramer to the 2nd rope, he then hits an incredible belly to back suplex from the 2nd rope.

JT: OH MY GOD!

JR: WHAT A MOVE!

HL: I think the ring is still shaking.

Ref: 1..............................2........................Kick out!

Kramer forces the shoulder up. Perfect Jack drags him up to his feet, he boots Kramer in the stomach and then goes for a Perfect Plex but Kramer blocks, he then counters with a release Fisherman's suplex of his own.

Ref: 1..........................2..................Kick out!

Perfect Jack forces the shoulder up. Karl Kramer drags him to his feet and launches him into the ropes, on the rebound Kramer connects with a big back body drop. Kramer then bounces off the ropes and connects with a huge running back senton on the grounded Jack. He covers again.

Ref: 1................................2......................Kick out!

Kramer hauls up Perfect Jack, he then launches him into the ropes. Jack goes for a crossbody block but Kramer catches him, he hits two backbreakers and follows that up with a fallaway slam. He makes the cover.

Ref: 1...............................2....................Kick out!

Karl Kramer throws Jack into the ropes, he goes for the big spinebuster but Jack manages to counter that with a DDT. He hooks the leg.

Ref: 1................................2....................Kick out!

Perfect Jack allows Kramer to his feet and hits a German Suplex. Jack then goes up top...

JT: We don't see him up here too often...

JR: FROG SPLASH!

Ref: 1...................................2......................Kick out!

Kramer forces the shoulder up just in time. Perfect Jack lifts him up and goes a suplex but Kramer blocks and then throws him across the ring with a huge belly to belly throw. Jack rolls up and walks into the Karnage. Kramer covers.

Ref: 1...............................2.......................Kick out!

Perfect Jack forces the shoulder up. Kramer hauls him up and throws him into the ropes...

JR: Going for the Karnage again, no doubt to set up for the Cannonball Run.

JT: Counter!

HL: Big DDT from Perfect Jack!

Ref: 1................................2.........................Kick out!

Jack stomps away on the body of Kramer and then drags him to his feet. He goes for the Perfect Plex but Kramer pushes Perfect Jack to the corner. He runs in and nails a big stinger splash. Jack staggers forward straight...

JT: KARNAGE!

JR: And here we go...

HL: CANNONBALL RUN!

Ref: 1................................................2..............................................................3!

Ding, Ding, Ding!

JT: And this one is over!

JR: Karl Kramer picks up the win here over Perfect Jack.

HL: Tremendously hard-hitting contest between these two, a real back and forth battle but ultimately it's Karl Kramer who goes to the next round of the Road To Royalty tournament.

JT: Kramer really starting to build up some momentum in recent weeks, as he makes his way deeper into this tournament you have to think he is one of the big favourites.

HL: There's certainly not many on the roster who can match Kramer for size and strength.

Kramer has his hand raised by the referee and he nods, business-like, indicating he's simply got the job done before making his way out of the ring. As Kramer reaches the top of the ramp, Jimmy Phillips comes sprinting out past him.

JT: What the hell is Phillips doing out here?!

JR: Phillips has been running off at the mouth about how the "Old timers" of 6CW are gifted opportunity after opportunity whilst he's left to feed on the scraps....

Phillips rolls in under the ropes and nails a running boot to Perfect Jack who is on his knees. He then lifts up Jack and drives him into the canvas with a powerslam. He then steps back to the corner before sprinting in and decimating Perfect Jack with the Game Changer.

JT: Seems like a declaration of war if ever I saw one...

HE: It's about time someone sent Jack into retirement....he's way past his sell by date....

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:12 am

*Mike Hill and Ricky Nelson are in Miss Jessica’s office following their attack on Dante Phoenix. Jessica shrieks in delight and Hill wants to talk about his man getting a shot at the world title now. Jessica says all in good time. Hill says Nelson pushed Jackson to the brink and now he has taken out Phoenix, he has upheld his side of the agreement so now Jessica should do the same. Jessica promises this is the start of a wonderful relationship but Phoenix hasn’t been dealt with properly as of yet. She wants that file from Cherry Falls and if Nelson can get it then he can have whatever he likes.

*Uryu Ishida is interviewed by Christy James ahead of his battle with Ojore. Uryu knows Ojore is bigger and stronger than him but he’s been up against the odds plenty of times before so this is no different. He knows the Wolf Gang want to put an end to him once and for all but he won’t go down without a fight. Uryu admits he is battered after last week but as long as he can stand up then he’ll continue to do so and fight against those who oppose him. Ishida says he’s fighting for anyone and everyone who has ever been made to feel like they don’t belong and aren’t good enough.

*Dante Phoenix is receiving stitches in the trainer’s room when Fleur Michaels enters. Fleur questions Dante on whether this war with Miss Jessica is really worth it but Phoenix says he didn’t start it although promises to finish it. He says he’ll bring the file to Scars and Stripes and hang it above the ring. If Ricky Nelson wants a fight then he can have one but it’ll be a ladder match for what Miss Jessica wants so badly but after he wins he will announce to the world what is in the documents.

*Charles Kramer welcomes Karl Kramer into the backstage area and then tells Travis Sharp to bow to the King. Crime Lord interrupts and he and Kramer go face to face. The Consultant pulls his nephew back and tells him that Crime Lord's time will come in the RTR because there'll only be one winner. Crime Lord smirks and then agrees, telling the Kramer's that they are looking at the King of 6CW.

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Bout 4
Ojore vs Uryu Ishida

*Ojore enters alone for once but immediately gets the upper hand by head butting Uryu whilst still wearing his ancient solider’s helmet

*The referee admonishes Ojore but can’t disqualify him as the match hasn’t begun. Ojore removes them helmet and seems to enjoy Uryu’s pain before crushing him in the corner with a huge running splash

*Uryu struggles to get back up but when he does Ojore merely body presses him into the air before slamming him down onto the canvass. Ojore then lifts himself onto the second rope and looks for a splash (think Umaga) but Ishida manages to avoid it

*Uryu is badly hurt but he rallies with kicks to the legs and body of Ojore as he tries to stand before running off the ropes and returns with a clothesline but the big man won’t fall. Uryu then climbs the ropes and looks for a flying crossbody but Ojore catches him. Ojore looks to swing Ishida into a slam but Uryu counters into a falling DDT but only registers a one count before Uryu powers out.

*Uryu lets Ojore up and scores with four calf kicks, two for each leg, but only succeeds in taking Ojore to his knees. Uryu climbs out onto the apron and attempts a springboard forearm but jumps straight into a counter Samoan drop that shakes the ring

*Ojore stalks Uryu and then prepares for the ‘Earthquake’ powerbomb but Uryu lands out on his feet and then leaps up under Ojore’s chin with double knees. Ojore stumbles back into the corner and Uryu nails a hat trick of running drop kicks against the turnbuckle. Ojore tumbles from the corner and Uryu climbs the ropes behind him before nailing a leaping bulldog takedown.

*The commentators marvel at the heart and spirit of the UK Champion and how he’s managed to take the big man down. Uryu then goes high for the ‘Split Second’ as Drake walks out onto the stage. Drake holds his hands up in mock innocence

JT: Drake has no business out here….this one on one matchup is moving along fine without him…

HE: He’s just here for moral support…

JT: Please….you really think he’s out here to play cheerleader? The Wolf Gang hunts in a pack, we should have known something was up when Ojore came out alone…

JR: And Drake chooses now to lend his support? With Uryu on the cusp of landing the 450?

HE: He ain’t landing anything now….

Drake has his hands up in mock innocence but continues to inch forward on the walkway. Uryu’s eyes are narrowed in suspicion and he’s distracted long enough to allow Ojore to get back up and shove him from the turnbuckle, sending him crashing down onto the steel walkway…

JR: Not a good landing there for Uryu, not good at all…

JT: AND THAT’S NOT MORAL SUPPORT, DAMMIT!

Ojore and the referee begin exchanging words, the official’s back is to the stage, and this allows Drake to beckon Ishida up before running right through him with a huge boot to the face. Drake grabs the crumbled UK Champion and throws him back into the ring…

JR: Drake just kicked Uryu into next week…

JT: This is bull(beep)….

HE: The Pack always watches out for one another….

Ojore suddenly shoves the referee aside and he grabs Uryu by the wrist before hoisting him and lifting him onto his shoulders. He parades him around before crushing him into the canvass….

JR: Calls that “Bonfire”….and I’d say Uryu is ready for the heap after that…

Ojore lands the inverted Death Valley Driver and then places a huge palm on Uryu’s chest as the referee counts…

1..
…….2
..
…………………3!

JT: Ojore just knocked off the United Kingdom Champion…..but dammit there was no need for that interference from Drake…

HE: The result is the only thing that matters, Jeff, and that result is Ojore victorious….big, big win for the Ugandan Nightmare….

JR: Uryu was valiant…..he showed serious guts and bravery in there and heck I believe he was right on the cusp of victory before Drake showed up…

JT: And all of that was in spite of being assaulted by his opponent before the bell even rang…..Ishida may have lost tonight but I’d like to see him and Ojore go at it without interference and without a pre-match attack….let’s run it back that way, shall we?

HE: It doesn’t matter….the result will be the same because Uryu is no match…

JR: He sure looked like a pretty good match at times in there tonight….

The referee thinks about raising Ojore’s arm in victory but the monster merely glares at him. Drake then climbs over the ropes to join his cohort…

JT: What are they doing now? The match is won…

HE: They’re sending a message….

JR: Two weeks running now Uryu Ishida has been on the receiving end of a beating from the Wolf Gang……JEEZ!

JT: SICKENING!

The referee moves in to protest Drake’s entry but rethinks his idea before scarpering from the ring. Ojore then wraps Uryu in a full nelson before hauling him off the canvass. Ishida is limp, offering no resistance, as Ojore lifts him into the air and then just releases him whilst in flight….Drake sprints out from the corner and catches Uryu in mid-air with a bone-crushing spear…

HE: Uryu will do well to learn his lesson here after this…

JT: What lesson? Uryu never chose this fight…..The Wolf Gang targeted him….

JR: They chose the UK Champion to make a statement and I’d say that statement has been made….Ishida has been busted up once more here at Proving Grounds……but knowing him the way we do I don’t think he’ll run for higher ground….

HE: Then he’s a fool…

JT: He’s a proud champion with a warrior’s mentality….Uryu may be longer in the tooth than his attackers but he will not go down without a fight…..he’s shown before that he will not be bullied and intimidated….

JR: I think this story’s got a few more chapters to it yet….

Uryu is writhing in pain on the canvass, clutching his ribs whilst in a foetal position, whilst Drake and Ojore look down on him with satisfied expressions before leaving the ring.

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:21 am

*Marshall Murdoch says as far as he is concerned the Kramer feud is over and they’d be wise to heed him on that. He says he is focused on taking out Reborn tonight en-route to winning the RTR and getting his hands on the 6CW Championship. Murdoch once again reiterates that Clarke James knows where he is if he wants to meet up.

*Miss Jessica is on the phone but quickly hangs up when Dicey Reilly is seen hanging around at the door. Jessica tells Dicey to get out but he merely laughs at her and teases that he knows her secret. Jessica looks annoyed and threatens Dicey not to cross her but Reilly shakes his head and tells her that she should know by now that he doesn’t do well with orders. Dicey reminds Jessica that he went to war with both Lex Hart and Cassius Zhi so he knows all about Jessica’s influence but he wants her to know that he won’t let anyone jeopardise 6CW. Jessica launches her phone against the wall and smashes it as Dicey walks away

*Perfect Jack gives a brief word to Christy James as he walks through the backstage area that he’s looking for Jimmy Phillips and when he finds him he’s going to show him that this “old man” is still far too good for him. Clarke James is on hand and asks PJ if he wants some help but Jack assures him that he's 'got this'

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Bout 5
Road to Royalty Quarter Final
Robin Reborn vs Marshall Murdoch

*Murdoch enters alone whilst Reborn is flanked by both Ojore and Drake. We get brief highlights of how both men qualified for the quarter finals and the commentators hype the impact that the Wolf Gang have been making.

*From the bell Reborn tries to catch Murdoch off guard with a superkick but Marshall catches his foot and immediately applies an anklelock. Reborn is able to roll forward and sends Marshall through the ropes to the outside. Reborn distracts the ref whilst Ojore and Drake deliver a huge double suplex on the concrete before throwing Murdoch back in the ring

*Reborn hits a running shooting star splash for a two count. He drags Marshall into a face-plant suplex and then goes up high. He sets for a twisting shooting star but Murdoch avoids the impact. Marshall hits a release German suplex and then a t-bone for a close two.

*Marshall sets up for the “Marshall Law” but Ojore distracts the ref and Drake slides in to hit a huge spear. Reborn makes the cover but Marshall manages to get his shoulder up just in time

*Reborn nails a standing enzeguiri, sending Marshall to the corner, and then he lifts him onto the turnbuckle for a huge frankensteiner that registers another two count. Reborn motions for the “Wing Clipper” but Murdoch grabs the ropes to prevent the finisher and elbows Reborn down with his free hand. Reborn rolls back up but Murdoch sprints into him with a codebreaker. A three count looks promising but Drake puts Reborn’s foot on the bottom rope

*Murdoch hits a running clothesline in the corner before taking Reborn down with a bulldog. Marshall rolls to the corner and stalks for the “Drive By” knee but Ojore pulls Marshall from the ring and slams him against the ring-post whilst the referee is distracted by Drake. Ojore launches Marshall against the security railing and then back into the ring so Reborn can make a cover but once again he only gets a two.

*Reborn goes to the ropes and looks for a leaping flip-piledriver but Marshall catches him on his back and counters with a tremendous “Texas” slam. Reborn stumbles up and falls to a double armed DDT but manages to get his arm up before the count can be completed

*Marshall pulls Reborn up and tries to flip him into a powerbomb position but Reborn slips his legs and locks his heels under the armpits of Murdoch before nailing a sunset flip bomb for a very close two. Reborn gets back up and lifts himself onto the second rope before hitting a flying dropsault takedown. He beckons Marshall back up and hits an incredible 720 spinning tornado DDT but Murdoch again kicks out.

*Reborn argues with the referee and accuses him of bias. He then runs off the ropes and returns with a flying low dropkick to Marshall’s face. He points to the top rope and nods his head before climbing high. He waves at Murdoch, mocking him, and then launches into a shooting star press. Marshall throws his knees up and winds Reborn before recovering enough to take him down with a coquina clutch. Reborn is flailing and trying to fight but he’s no match for Murdoch’s ground game and looks on the verge of either tapping or passing out until Drake distracts the referee once more. Murdoch releases the hold and he gets up to confront Reborn’s allies. Ojore beckons for Marshall to come out and fight them but Murdoch aims to turn away until Drake grabs his ankle. The referee moves in and orders Drake and Ojore to leave ringside

JT: Absolutely the right call by the referee….Drake and Ojore have interjected themselves in this match time and time again…

HE: He’s crazy….he can’t do that…

JR: He can do whatever he wants, he’s the referee and the Wolf Gang have broken the rules time and time again….

HE: GOD'S LAST GIFT…..COUNT IT, REF!

Murdoch is busy smirking as Drake and Ojore are being ordered from the ring and it allows Reborn to sneak up on him, spin him around and nail the finisher Reborn is hooking the legs….

JT: PSYCHO CRUSHER!

The referee is still getting rid of Drake and Ojore as Liam Wood jumps the barricade and rolls into the ring before foot stomping Reborn’s head into the canvass. Reborn then runs to the ropes and he front flips over the top with another velocity to knock Drake backward into Ojore and take all three of them down…

HE: That’s not right…..Liam Wood just took out Robin Reborn…..that’s a disqualification….

JT: Referee can’t call what he doesn’t see and I’d say that’s just a little bit of retribution on behalf of Liam Wood….

JR: Levels the playing field momentarily….

Reborn and Marshall Murdoch are both groggy but Marshall is the first man to his feet. He stumbles into the ropes and spots Ojore and Drake down on the outside before turning back to Reborn. Reborn is holding his head as he reaches his feet….

JT: MARSHALL LAW!

JR: GOT ALL OF IT!

1.
..
..
….2
..
……………..3!

JT: Marshall Murdoch just booked his spot in the semi-finals…..he’s going to Scars and Stripes for the chance to be crowned King of 6CW….

JR: Murdoch remains on the Road to Royalty thanks to a huge assist from Liam Wood…

“Papercut” booms through the speakers as the referee raises Marshall Murdoch’s arm in victory. He stumbles up, taking a deep breath, and then Ojore slams into him behind…

JT: Cmon now….Reborn lost the damn match…

HE: But The Wolf Gang aren’t going to just accept that….they’ve been running roughshod over the 6CW roster and Marshall Murdoch is their newest victim…

Drake is in the ring and is helping Robin Reborn to his feet. Reborn looks annoyed as he beckons for Drake and Ojore to get Marshall back up…

JR: That top-rope flip from Liam Wood seems to have taken more out of him than Drake or Ojore….

JT: Wood came out here to cost Reborn the match and he’s achieved that goal…

JR: But at what cost to himself….

HE: And now Marshall Murdoch is going to feel the wrath….he’s going the same way as Scott Harris, Angelo Trust, Uryu and Liam Wood….nobody to save him….

JT: WAIT JUST A GODDAMN MINUTE!

Ojore and Drake whirl around as “Blind Faith” booms through the airwaves and Clarke James, steel chair in hand, comes striding across the walkway. Reborn looks furious as he orders his henchmen forward…

HE: HE ISN’T A MEMBER OF THE 6CW ROSTER…..THE HELL IS HE PLAYING AT?

JT: CLARKE JAMES IS HERE TO SAVE HIS “BROTHER”…..DOWN GOES OJORE…..

JR: RIGHT TO THE CROWN JEWELS…

Ojore has just climbed out onto the walkway when Clarke James throws the chair at the top of his head. Ojore staggers off balance and loses his footing on the side of the walkway, toppling down the steps onto the hard flooring. Drake smirks now that CJ is unarmed but Clarke just kicks him right between the legs, felling him in a heap. Robin Reborn looks like he’s seen a ghost as Marshall gets to his feet and he finds himself trapped between the two friends…

JT: All of a sudden life doesn’t look too sweet from Robin Reborn….looks like he’s about to get a taste of his own medicine…

HE: Run, Robin…

JR: NO CHANCE!

Liam Wood is back up and he grabs Reborn’s legs before dragging him under the ropes to the outside. Wood launches Reborn over the security railing into the empty fan area and then climbs over to brawl with his rival…

JT: Liam Wood letting everyone know that this is his fight….

JR: Reborn and Wood’s issues are far from done….security may need to intervene because neither man is going to let up in that fight…

HE: Are we all just going to ignore the disgrace that has taken place here? First Liam Wood screwed Robin Reborn out of the Road to Royalty and then Clarke James, who isn’t even on the 6CW roster, has just assaulted two superstars….call the police…

JT: Wind it in, Henry…..Clarke James has put all the rumours to bed here tonight because he most certainly still has Marshall Murdoch’s back….the Church of Hero may be dead but the brothers in arms are reunited here tonight at Proving Grounds…

Clarke James and Marshall Murdoch stare one another down for a few minutes and then smirk as they shake hands and hug in the centre of the ring. CJ raises Marshall’s arm in the arm as “Papercut” blasts out once more.

JR: Does Clarke James have a future here in 6CW?

JT: He says not but that’s three weeks running now he’s been here at Proving Grounds and two weeks he’s physically intervened….I’d say the desire is still there….

HE: He better have eyes in the back of his head because the Wolf Gang will not forget this….

JT: Marshall Murdoch advances to the semi-finals of the RTR and he’s got his best friend back in his corner….he’s going to take some stopping at Scars and Stripes…

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:32 am

*Jackson Jackson is interviewed by Christy James. Jackson is still in the dark about who is next at Scars and Stripes but he welcomes the challenge. He says he’s enjoyed his recent battles and he knows the queue is building so everyone better buy a ticket and hope they win the lottery. Jackson says he doesn’t care who wins RTR or which one of Jessica’s play things thinks they deserve a shot at the champ because he is never releasing his grip on the 6CW Championship. Christy asks about Clarke James potentially returning to action and Jackson merely laughs and says they may be friends but even CJ needs to get in line.

*Robin Reborn is apoplectic in the backstage area following his loss to Marshall Murdoch. Reborn articulates to the camera that Clarke James will pay for interfering in their business time and again, he doesn’t care if he’s on active duty or not because if he turns up next week he will pay the price. RR makes it clear that Ojore deserves a crack at Uryu’s UK Championship after the earlier demolition. Reborn then challenges Liam Wood to a fight at Scars and Stripes, a PPV where they both made their name in EWF. Reborn says it is time to prove who the real star of the company was and still is.

*Clarke James and Marshall Murdoch head backstage and they are stopped by Fleur Michaels. Fleur asks if CJ is returning to action and he admits that now is the time to lace them back up and that as of next week on Proving Grounds he is once again an active member of the 6CW roster. Marshall and Clarke hug and then MM tells Fleur that he’s gunning for the RTR and the World Title. CJ wants first shot and Marshall agrees. MM says they are on different paths now and Clarke acknowledges that but they'll always have one another's back

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Bout 6
Jackson Jackson vs Jimmy Phillips

*"No Less Violent" is playing out around the empty arena as Jimmy Phillips makes his way to the ring, the commentators are discussing his attack on Perfect Jack earlier in the evening.

*This is followed up by "Take Me To The Hospital" blaring out around the arena as the 6CW Champion Jackson Jackson walks down the ramp to the ring holding his title aloft above his head as he glares at Phillips.

*The bell rings to kick the match off. Phillips showcases his athletic ability to dominate the early exchanges, escaping the lock-up hold then applying a sleeper hold on Jackson. He drives forward with his legs that thrusts Jackson into the turnbuckles then Phillips throws him down to the mat with a German suplex bridging into the pin.

*Phillips continues to be in control of the match-up, he attacks Jackson with elbows to the head before throwing Jackson into the ropes and nailing a spinebuster on the rebound, followed with a running elbow drop for another cover. This is followed by another 2 count after an impressive delayed vertical suplex slam.

*Jackson manages to get back into the contest after reversing a full nelson hold with a jawbreaker. Phillips stumbles around straight into a discus elbow smash as the 6CW World Champion scores his first pin attempt of the match which earns a 2 count.

*The 6CW Champion starts to exert control of the match-up, he whips Jimmy Phillips into the ropes and connects with an inverted atomic drop. Jackson hits a neckbreaker for another pin attempt. Another kick out comes from Phillips following a flurry of standing roundhouse kicks from Jackson, Phillips manages to block one and smirks at Jackson only for him to crack an enzaguri kick to the head.

*Jackson allows Phillips to his feet and goes for a double underhook tiger suplex, Phillips manages to free an elbow and then fires these back into the head of Jackson who releases the hold. Phillips bounces off the ropes and takes Jackson down with a big spear for a 2 count.

*Phillips scores another close pinfall after throwing the 6CW Champion into the ropes, hitting a pendulum backbreaker and then keeping hold of the grip to deliver a sidewalk slam.

*Following the kick out, Phillips throws Jackson into the corner. He sprints in going for a forearm smash but Jackson side-steps and Phillips crashes into the turnbuckles. Jackson unloads a succession of kicks on Phillips before lifting him to the top rope. Jackson follows him up there but Phillips fights back with punches and sends Jackson back off the ropes. He lands on his feet.

JT: Phillips steadying himself on the top rope...

JR: OH MY GOD!

JT: INCREDIBLE FROM JACKSON JACKSON!

HL: That's why he's the champion!

Jackson Jackson sprints back to the corner, in one fluid motion leaping to the 2nd rope and then onto the top before delivering a picture-perfect Spanish Fly. Cover.

Ref: 1..................................2.......................Kick out!

Phillips just about gets the shoulder up in time. Jackson gets up to his feet, he quickly bounces off the ropes and nails the penalty kick punt to the chest. He hooks the leg.

Ref: 1..............................2..................Kick out!

Jackson gets to his feet. He allows Jimmy Phillips to his feet, he boots him in the gut before throwing him down to the mat with a suplex. He keeps the hold applied, lifting up Philips to hit a 2nd a suplex and then a third. Cover.

Ref: 1...............................2...........Kick out!

Phillips forces the shoulder up. Jackson drags him to his feet and throws Phillips into the ropes, he goes for the standing dropkick on the rebound but Phillips holds the ropes and Jackson crashes into the canvas. Phillips runs in and hits a big boot to the head. Cover.

Ref: 1...............................2.................Kick out!

Jackson gets the shoulder up. Phillips drags him up and throws him into the ropes, on the rebound Phillips drives Jackson down into the canvas with a pop-up powerbomb. He hooks the leg.

Ref: 1..............................2...................Kick out!

Phillips stands over Jackson, who gets to his feet...

JT: Boot to the gut...

JR: TOUCHDOWN!

HL: Phillips on the verge of the biggest win of his career!

Ref: 1...................................2..................................Kick out!

JT: KICK OUT!

JR: That's why he's the champion!

Phillips steps back to the corner, lining up Jackson. He waits for the champion to rise before sprinting in...

JT: GAME CHANGER....

HL: DUCKED IT!

Phillips turns around, Jackson feigns the superkick before flipping the bird at Phillips and hitting the kick to the knee instead. Phillips falls down and Jackson crashes another superkick into the chin. He covers.

Ref: 1..............................2........................Kick out!

Phillips forces the shoulder up. Jackson stomps away on him before picking Phillips up by the head and sprinting towards the corner...

JT: Sliced Bread Connects!

Jackson doesn't cover, instead waiting for Phillips to rise...

JR: JACKED OFF!

Ref: 1.......................................2............................................3!

Ding, Ding, Ding!

JT: Jackson Jackson picks up the win!

JR: Jimmy Phillips put on one hell of a showing here tonight, he came damn close to a pinfall win over the world champion.

HL: He dominated large parts of that contest, he didn't quite get the job done but it should certainly be a massive confidence boost to run Jackson that close.

JT: But ultimately it was our world champion who came out with the victory, continuing the huge momentum he's built up.

Jackson is handed the title by the referee and he holds it aloft in the middle of the ring as Phillips begins to stir. Jackson walks back up the ramp holding up the championship when suddenly "I Am Perfection" and Perfect Jack bursts through the curtain.

HL: What the hell is he doing out here?!

JR: I would guess Phillips' attack earlier on has something to do with it.

Perfect Jack strides past the world champion as Phillips gets to his feet in the ring. He steps out and meets Perfect Jack at the bottom of the ramp, where the two begin exchanging huge punches, falling into the various railings and hoardings set up at ringside and by the ramp.

JT: These two are really taking it to each other here.

Phillips and Perfect Jack continue to pummel away at each other on the rampway until security come streaming out from the backstage area to separate the two as Proving Grounds goes to a break.

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:37 am

*Marty Helms arrives at the arena, trying to hide a limp. He is angry as he tells Travis Sharp that there isn’t anything wrong with him and he’s looking forward to caving Dicey Reilly’s skull in. Helms promises that James McManus and Miss Jessica will rue the day they crossed him but tonight he’s focused on getting one step closer to what belongs to him and that is the 6CW Championship.

*The commentators run through the current card for Scars and Stripes with official confirmation of Uryu Ishida vs Ojore for the UK Championship, Liam Wood versus Robin Reborn, Dante Phoenix and Ricky Nelson in a Ladder Match as well as confirming that Jimmy Phillips and Perfect Jack will go one on one at the two day pay per view.

*Dicey Reilly is interviewed by Christy James and he’s ready to go to war. Dicey gives props to the tenacity of Marty Helms and knows that tonight will be one of the toughest matches in his career but he also knows Helms is overlooking him and that will be to his detriment. Dicey knows these young guns don’t think he can hang tough but he’s going to prove them all wrong when he is crowned King of 6CW. Christy asks Dicey about the issues between Dante Phoenix and Miss Jessica. Dicey says he knows a storm is brewing and he is all too aware of the threat that Jessica’s reign of terror poses to 6CW so he’ll do what he can to keep the company he loves safe but for now he’s focusing on Helms and nothing else

*James McManus, Jimmy Phillips and Ricky Nelson are all in Miss Jessica’s office and she is applauding them for their actions thus far but warns that there is much more to come so they cannot become complacent. She tells them that Dante Phoenix is bringing something she wants very badly to Scars and Stripes and it is imperative they take it from him and that if anyone at all tries to get in their way then they need to take them out too. She knows they will face opposition as they have done already from the likes of Perfect Jack and Marty Helms but there is no more cohesive unit than them in all of 6CW and that will be the telling factor. Jessica promises to lead the Revolution and that 6CW will fall in line.

*Dante Phoenix is leaving the arena but is stopped in the parking lot. Karl Kramer is sat on his boke and refuses to move as Charles Kramer appears and wants to “talk” to Phoenix in private before he goes home. CK tells Phoenix that he knows there is a war coming and wouldn’t it be better to have allies than go it alone. Phoenix looks uneasy and reluctant as the scene fades out.

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:38 am

Main Event
Road to Royalty Quarter Final
Dicey Reilly vs Marty Helms

JT: Main event time ladies and gentlemen….

JR: And they don’t come much more hard-hitting than the bout we’ve got lined up…..final Road to Royalty Quarter Final…..Marty Helms and Dicey Reilly go one on one…

JT: Who will join Crime Lord, Karl Kramer and Marshall Murdoch in the semi-finals at Scars and Stripes?

HE: Marty Helms, it doesn’t take a genius…..look I’m not happy with Marty for turning down Miss Jessica once again but let’s not overlook that this is the most dangerous superstar in the industry at present….we don’t need to dig up a 53 year old Mike Tyson for relevance because we already have the baddest man on the planet…

JT: I’m not going to argue that point….Helms is one bad S.O.B and he’s on a mission, that makes him even more dangerous than usual…

JR: I’ll never forget the night Marty Helms ended both Cerberus and Frank Horrigan right in front of us….but all of it, every action undertaken by this man, is all part of his quest to be 6CW Champion….he believes that belt belongs to him…

HE: And he’s right….before 6CW folded Marty Helms was world champion….he never lost the title in a match, he was never pinned or submitted…

JT: But this a new era and Jackson Jackson is the 6CW Champion…..we can’t pretend Helms hasn’t had opportunities….

HE: He’s never had a one on one match and that is all he needs…

JR: If he wins the RTR then he’ll get exactly what he wants and then there’ll be no more questions…

JT: But Dicey Reilly isn’t going to just step aside for him….Reilly is one of the best ever, Mr 6CW, The Original Badass and he loves a fight just as much as Helms….this has all the makings of a show stealer…

JR: And not to mention that both of these men have been at loggerheads of late….Dicey had some choice words for Helms when it seemed as though the latter would align himself with Miss Jessica….Helms u-turned on that but refuses to admit Dicey had any influence on that decision…

JT: Whether he did or didn’t, we may never know….but what we do know is that the winner of tonight’s match gets one step closer to an opportunity to once again call themselves World Champion….

“Remedy” kicks through the airwaves as Marty Helms appears on the stage, a snarl across his face. Pyros explode around him but he pays no attention as he storms across the walkway and clambers through the ropes…

JT: Helms means business, as ever, and he is going to bring all he’s got here tonight….but one thing we don’t know is how badly injured is that knee?

JR: Helms tried to brush it off earlier tonight but I don’t buy it….James McManus damn near snapped the leg of Helms last week….

HE: McManus was smart enough to accept Miss Jessica’s offer for a brighter future and that spelt bad news for Marty Helms…

JT: I thought you were a Helms fan?

HE: I am but I still think he’s made a mistake….if he’d agreed to help Jessica then he’d probably already have a title shot rather than having to compete in this tournament….and he certainly wouldn’t be a one legged man…

JR: Fighting Dicey Reilly at 100% is a pick ‘em but Helms cannot hide that limp, he’s feeling it already and a blow hasn’t even been landed…

Helms adjusts the strapping on his knee, kneeling momentarily, as “Born to fight” then screams through the airwaves. Helms flicks his hair back and stands as Dicey Reilly appears on the stage…

JT: Three time 6CW Champion……Dicey Reilly has done it all in this industry but he freely admits that being crowned King of 6CW is an accolade he’d love to have…..since returning last month he has more than proven he’s still good to go at the highest level…

JR: Dicey Reilly has been putting on 5* matches since 6CW first opened its doors in 2009 and yet here he is 11 years later still fighting tooth and nail to be the man in this company…..he’s far from done and he’s here to prove it….winning this tournament and becoming 6CW Champion once again would more than justify his decision to return…

HE: Dicey is an all-time great, granted, but his day has come and gone…..sure he’s had a few decent victories since he came back but that all comes to an end here tonight….he’s about to get hit hard by reality…..he’s going in there tonight with a killer and he’s just not prepared for that anymore…

JT: I’m not sure I agree on that but I guess we’re going to find out…..Dicey Reilly is one of a few veterans on this roster who have a point to prove….Perfect Jack, Uryu Ishida amongst others…

HE: And what happened to both of them here tonight? Dicey is about to make it a hat-trick of heartbreak…

Dicey climbs into the ring and he and Helms share an intense stare-down as the referee moves to get in between them. The two warriors trade verbal shots…

JR: We got a brief preview last week during an explosive tag team match but we’ve been looking forward to these two men colliding for a weeks now….they really don’t like one another…

JT: I don’t think Marty Helms likes anyone….but after this war, and I’m sure it will be one, I have a feeling there may be some mutual respect…

Helms and Dicey circle one another, fire in their eyes, and then they engage in a ferocious tussle of a lockup. They trade control of the clinch but then Helms jerks free and drives a quick, hard, jab into Dicey’s face before following up with an overhand left hook that rocks Reilly back. Helms pushes Dicey into the ropes and drives a knee into his gut before whipping him across the ring…

JR: Helms starting out with that trademark physicality….

Helms lowers his head down for an attempted backdrop but Dicey lashes a kick into his face, standing him up, and then floors him with a clothesline. Helms rushes back to his feet and aims a wild right hand but Dicey ducks it and connects with an atomic drop before clattering his man into the deck with a neckbreaker…

1.
..
…2
..
………kickout!

JT: Dicey Reilly already showing he’s not an old timer looking for a cheque….he comes to win every single time…

Dicey seizes Helms by the head and quickly tries to flip him for a powerbomb but Helms lands out on his feet and scores with a big European uppercut and then a stunning backhand chop to the chest that knocks Reilly off of his feet. Dicey gets back up and Helms nails a big right hand before whipping his opponent to the corner. He rushes in after him but Dicey drives his feet up to protect himself, catching Helms in the face…

JR: Helms’ momentarily stunned by that…..Reilly going up…

Dicey quickly lifts himself onto the second rope and then leaps off for a double axe handle but Helms catches him in mid-flight with a spinning AA spinebuster…………….1…………….2………..kickout from the Irishman!

HE: Helms is turning it up now and Dicey will not be able to handle what is coming his way…

JT: I believe Helms is going to try and finish this as quickly as he can….he knows he’s carrying that injury despite what he says…

Helms drags Dicey up into a front facelock for a suplex but his feels a wince in his knee and it allows Dicey to pull free before placing a sharp kick to the injured area. Helms buckles momentarily and Dicey hits him with a big implant DDT…

1.
…..2
……..shoulder up!

JR: Gave the game away right there…..Helms can say he’s not injured but we all just saw that isn’t the case…

Helms crawls for the corner and is pulling himself up as Dicey crashes into him from behind with a splash. Dicey then runs off the ropes and returns with a crunching brogue kick straight to the mouth…

JT: Dicey heading for the semi-finals…

1.
….2
……kickout!

JR: Helms is a tough, tough man….we know that, we have witnessed it so many times….

HE: Too tough for Dicey Reilly….

JT: I can’t agree with that…..Dicey Reilly has beaten the very best this industry has ever offered…

Dicey sighs as the referee gives him clarification of the two count. Reilly is back on his feet and he beckons Helms up before planting a boot in his stomach….

JR: CRAIC….

JT: OH MY!

Dicey sets up for the cradle piledriver but Helms displays immense power to lift his foe up on his back (Alabama Slam style) and then lashes Dicey at the turnbuckle….

HE: That is incredible…

JT: Helms is a bad man….he managed that on practically one leg…

JR: BLACK HOLE!

Dicey clatters against the turnbuckle and then walks forward into a ring-shaking black hole slam………….1……………………2………………thr-shoulder up!

JT: It doesn’t come much closer than that…..Dicey Reilly rocked to the core there…

JR: But how much did that lift take from Helms’ leg? He’s hobbling…

Marty Helms cannot hide the jolt of pain as he stands on his injured leg. He snarls in anger and then he begins to rip off the padding from his elbow…

JT: Helms knows he needs to finish this bout as soon as he can…

JR: That’s the plan right here….

HE: LIGHTS OUT!

Helms drives the huge elbow at Dicey’s skull but Reilly ducks the blow at the very last minute and hits a spinning sit-out powerbomb counter….

JT: BLUE THUNDER…

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:39 am

……………….kickout!

JR: I thought he had it….

JT: So did Dicey….that was so close to being a three count…

Dicey rocks back on his heels whilst kneeling and looks at the referee but is told it was a clear two. He nods his head, although disappointed, and then makes his way over to the corner. He climbs up high and he waits for Helms to rise before leaping off, this time connecting with the double axe handle….

JT: Second time is a charm for Dicey Reilly….Mr 6CW building some steam here….

Helms is seeing stars as he slowly gets to his feet again and Dicey lands three vicious chops to the chest, leaving deep red welts, before backing him into the ropes. He grabs Helms’ wrist and looks for an Irish whip but Helms is able to reverse….

JR: No, Dicey held on…

Dicey’s feet stay firm and then he’s able to duck under Helms’ arm, tying him up, before succeeding in whipping him across the ring….

JT: THESZ PRESS!

Dicey leaps up for the takedown but Helms catches him in midair and then just drops backward, slamming Dicey’s face into the turnbuckle behind them. Helms is able to crawl back to his feet, Dicey still just slumped against the corner, and he makes his way over toward his opponent…

JT: Not sure what Helms is planning here….he doesn’t take high risks too often….

HE: HE SHOULD DO!

JR: THAT IS SENSATIONAL FOR SUCH A BIG MAN!

Helms cradles Dicey in his arms, ignoring the pain in his leg, and he climbs up the ropes before connecting with an astonishing moonsault fall away slam (ala Hangman Page)…..

JT: I don’t know how much that has taken out of both of these men….but what a battle….

JR: This is exactly the kind of war we were expecting between these two….

Helms appears to have landed badly on his leg once more and he’s trying to beat life into it whilst sat on the canvass. Dicey is still in a world of his own…

HE: Cmon Helms, this is your time…

JT: Marty Helms may have the upper hand but he can’t take advantage if he can’t move on that leg…

JR: He’s doing all he can….

Helms seizes the ropes and he pulls himself up. Although he’s unsteady he manages to make his way over to Dicey and grabs him by the head…

JT: One more high impact move may finish this…..BACK TO….

Helms attempts the powerbomb but Dicey kicks his legs in opposition and then he drives punches to the knee before swiping Helms’ legs. Dicey drops back and catapults Helms to the corner, the latter cracking his head off the turnbuckle and then he spins back around…

JR: CRAICDOWN!

Helms counters the piledriver with a backdrop and then staggers away to the ropes. He shouts at Dicey to rise and then sprints at him….

JT: SPEAR!

Dicey leapfrogs over the top of Helms, sending him crashing into the ropes, before dragging him around and flipping him into a powerbomb of his own….

JR: STRAIGHT AT THE TURNBUCKLE……HANGOVER CURE!

JT: Goodnight!

Dicey launches Helms at the turnbuckle with the powerbomb and he slumps upon impact before Dicey drives into him with the brutal running knee to the face. Dicey drags Helms away from the ropes and covers him….

…………….3!

HE: NOT THAT EASY!

JT: Marty Helms is made of stern stuff….

JR: You’re damn right…..Dicey damn near kneed his head into another lifetime…

Dicey is almost amused with exasperation as he staggers up to look at the referee. He looks down at Helms, almost impressed, but then he grabs him by the hair…

JT: Dicey has never been one to rest on his laurels….he knows how tough Helms is and I’m sure he knew just how hard this bout was going to be….but he’s on the cusp now….the semi finals beckon….

JR: Third time, perhaps? CRAIC…

Helms senses the imminent danger and all he can do is run Dicey back into the corner and crush him against the turnbuckle. He drives forward with two desperation shoulder thrusts but on the third attempt Dicey lifts his knee to clatter against the top of Helms’ skull….

JT: Another knee to Helms’ head…..he’ll be lucky to survive without a concussion after this….

JR: CHECK THAT, THOUGH!

HE: Never, never count this man out….

Dicey rushes out at Helms but is scooped up and hammered by a massive Samoan drop from nowhere. Helms drags himself up as quickly as he possible can and grabs Dicey by the head…

JT: BACK TO EARTH….MARTY HELMS, FROM THE BRINK OF DEFEAT, IS HEADING FOR SCARS AND STRIPES…

…………..3!

JR: DICEY KICKS OUT….WHAT A MAIN EVENT….WHAT A TOURNAMENT THIS IS TURNING OUT TO BE!

HE: That had to be a slow count…

JT: Not a chance…..this is just two warriors showing their mettle….two of the toughest, baddest SOB’s 6CW has ever seen…

JR: We’ve already witnessed three unbelievable quarter finals here tonight but this is as good as it gets…

Marty Helms pushes hair from his face as he glares at the referee in disbelief. He points at Dicey Reilly but the official shakes his head and holds up two fingers…

JR: Helms does not look happy…

JT: We’ve seen disciplinary issues in the past from Helms but he needs to keep his cool here…

Helms gets back to his feet, anger boiling, and then he backs up into the corner to wait for Dicey to start rising. Dicey is staring off into the distance as he gets to his knees…

HE: BEHEADING!

JT: COULD BE A BIG MISTAKE!

Helms runs out of the corner for a punt to the skull but Dicey swivels his body, last minute, and kicks out with both feet into the back, injured, knee of Helms whilst he’s moving. Helms flips over and rolls, clutching at his knee…

HE: That’s not fair…

JR: It’s called being smart….Helms came in here injured and now Dicey is exploiting that like the veteran that he is….

Dicey gets back up and he stomps down on Helms’ leg and body before trying to pull him away from the ropes. Helms is holding on for dear life…

JT: Marty Helms refusing to leave those ropes….

Helms uses his uninjured leg to kick out several times at Dicey’s head, stunning him, and then begins getting back to his feet. He stumbles into Dicey in the centre of the ring and the Irishman lands a big headbutt…

JR: I’m not that had the desired effect for Dicey…

The headbutt seems to sway Dicey back and Helms then responds with his own headbutt that certainly snaps Dicey’s head back and bloodies his nose. Dicey’s head slumps toward the shoulder of Helms but then he drives it back up under the chin….

JT: That worked a little better….this is just a phone box brawl now….OOOFT!

Helms then nails another huge headbutt to Dicey’s face that sends him staggering back into the corner. Helms roars and looks to sprint in but Dicey dives aside and then rolls Helms up after he hts the turnbuckle……………………1………………………..2…………….kickout!

JR: Dicey went back to basics and almost nicked it….

JT: CRAICDOWN!

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:39 am

They both scramble back up and Dicey stomps on the injured knee once again and looks for his patented piledriver but this time Helms’ swipes his legs and catapults him into the corner…

JR: Referee was trapped…

The referee cannot get out of the way in time as Dicey collides with him and crushes him against the corner. Helms turns Dicey around and lifts him onto his shoulders….

JT: DEATH VALLEY…

Dicey drives elbows into the jaw of Helms and then drops off the back before kicking him in the stomach…

JR: CRAICDOWN….LANDED IT, FINALLY!

HE: But nobody to count….

Dicey scores with his finisher but he looks over in dismay because the referee is down. Dicey crawls over to try and revive the official…

JT: Dicey Reilly should be advancing here to the semi-finals of the RTR….

HE: He shouldn’t have knocked the referee out then…

JR: Completely accidental…

Dicey shakes the referee several times but cannot get a response. He looks annoyed as he makes his way back over toward Marty Helms…

JT: A damn low-blow….as blatant as they come…

HE: But there’s no official so who cares….Helms is back in the mix…

Dicey drops to his knees following the shameless low-blow from Helms and both men are now back on an even footing. Helms slowly rolls out of the ring and he hobbles over to the announce area before grabbing a steel chair…

JR: Now Marty Helms is in his element….no rules, no referee….

JT: This needs to be stopped….this has been one heck of a match and it shouldn’t end in this manner…

Helms rolls back into the ring and he turns the chair on its side before driving the corner into Dicey’s temple, leaving him flat on his back. Helms then places the chair over Dicey’s head and makes his way to the corner…

JT: What in the world is Marty Helms doing here?

JR: Whatever it is, it does not look good….

HE: Dicey Reilly has run his mouth too much in recent weeks….he won’t be running it at all after this….Marty Helms is going to break his face apart….

Helms is a little unsteady on his injured leg but eventually he manages to get up on the top rope. He looks down at Dicey before standing to full height….

JT: Surely not from up there…..DAMMIT!

James McManus is suddenly on the apron with the same steel pipe from last week and he smashes it against the injured knee of Marty Helms, sending him crashing down onto the canvass. Helms is in a great deal of pain and McManus is laughing about it as he steps through the ropes….

JR: James McManus just stole another one on Marty Helms….and you can be damn sure who ordered this attack…

JT: McManus has been hunting Helms since Day of Reckoning, he blames him for his wife taking one hell of a chairshot….but I agree, Jack, because I doubt he is doing this of his own volition…

HE: Sounds slanderous to me…

JR: You know all too well, Henry, that Miss Jessica is behind this…..she promised Marty Helms would pay for snubbing her…

McManus twirls the steel pipe in his hands as he beckons for Helms to get back to his feet. Helms is cradling his knee but seethes in anger as well as he looks up at McManus…

JT: Helms can barely even stand here but he is not going to back down from a fight….

JR: Maybe to his own downfall…

Helms struggles to put weight on his knee but he manages to reach his feet as McManus steps forward and swings the pipe straight at his head….

HE: Should have hit him whilst he was still down…

Helms throws his hands out and blocks the attack before driving his head forward into McManus’ face, staggering him back into the ropes. Helms then hammers his good knee into McManus’ gut with enough velocity to drop him to his knees…

JT: McManus’ plan may have just backfired….now he’s at the mercy of Marty Helms…

JR: And Helms doesn’t show any….

Helms looks down at McManus, who is spluttering on the mat, and then he shakes his head and grabs the steel pipe. He admires the weapon as he waits for McManus to get up…

JT: James McManus is about to pay the price for getting on the wrong side of Marty Helms….

HE: INCOMING!

Helms is about to swing the pipe at the skull of James McManus when Ricky Nelson springboards into the ring with a flying forearm to the face. The impact swings Helms around and then he’s almost decapitated by a “Game-Changer” from Jimmy Phillips…

JR: What is going on here?

JT: Miss Jessica’s goddamn jackals….all three of them on the same page here….

HE: Marty Helms really pi55ed her off….

JR: These three men once again proving they’ll do anything to get in Jessica’s good books…

Phillips, Nelson and McManus all exchange looks and then they walk forward to begin stomping down on Helms in sheer brutality. McManus then grabs the steel pipe again and he waits for Jimmy Phillips to pull Helms up before smashing it across the top of his skull…

JT: Marty Helms has been completely wiped out here…..it’s a damn set-up….

Dicey Reilly is beginning to stir as Phillips, Nelson and McManus exit the ring, although they do remain at ringside. Reilly seems unaware of what has happened…

JR: Dicey took a hard chairshot to the temple a few minutes ago so you can forgive his confusion as he looks on at Marty Helms in a heap…

Dicey spots the assailants around ringside and shakes his head at them as he stumbles to his feet. The referee is also starting to come round…

HE: Dicey should be thankful…..he’s been handed this bout on a plate, a walkover to the semi-finals…

JT: That isn’t Dicey Reilly’s style…

Marty Helms is blinking back in pain, blood running between his eyes, as he tries to sit up on the canvass. Dicey looks conflicted as he stares down at his opponent…

JR: Dicey and Helms have gone to war here tonight and Dicey doesn’t want to just take an easy route out….

HE: He needs to ditch the sentimentality……that’s a loser’s outlook….

JT: Dicey Reilly is anything but a loser…

HE: Then prove it…

Helms sees the look on Dicey Reilly’s face and then he spits at his feet with anger in his eyes before beckoning for Dicey to finish the job…

JR: Helms is a proud man, he wants no pity from anyone…..he wants to go out on his shield like the warrior he is…

JT: He may not be a nice guy but I admire that…

Dicey almost looks impressed and then he grabs Helms and hauls him up before planting him with the cradle piledriver in the centre of the ring…

6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3) Empty Re: 6CW Proving Grounds Saturday 30th May 2020 (Scars and Stripes Build Week 3)

Post by JJJohnson Sun 31 May 2020, 1:39 am

JR: Dicey Reilly has done it…..Mr 6CW is one step closer to being crowned King and he’s heading to Scars and Stripes…

JT: It was a tremendous main event that was ruined, in part, by Miss Jessica’s hired guns…..Marty Helms had no chance against the numbers but that takes nothing away from the performance of Dicey Reilly….the veteran has proven once again that he’s still one of the best in the business…

“Born to fight” echoes through the speakers as the referee raises Dicey’s arm in victory. Reilly looks down at Helms and then out at McManus, Nelson and Phillips patrolling the ringside area…

HE: Dicey got the win but now, if he’s smart, he’ll walk away….

JT: Dicey Reilly just went to war with Marty Helms and I’m sure they earned one another’s respect….I don’t think Dicey is just going to leave and let Helms take a further beating…

Suddenly “Sweet but a psycho” screams out and Miss Jessica, a huge grin on her face, struts out onto the stage with a microphone in hand.

Jessica: You can leave now my sweet little leprechaun…..this doesn’t concern you….

*Dicey glares at Jessica as Nelson, McManus and Phillips pull themselves up on different sides of the ring.

JR: Dicey not leaving in a hurry…

Jessica: This can go easy or hard, you pick……either leave now or I’ll remove you from the Road to Royalty tournament, rendering all your hard work worthless, and I’ll make sure my boys give you a beating you’ll never forget…

JT: Dicey Reilly needs to seriously consider his options here…..he’s worked so hard to get where he is….

JR: But Dicey isn’t a coward either…

Marty Helms is slowly using the ropes to drag himself up and he looks out at Jessica with a boiling hatred and then staggers into Dicey, who holds him up. Dicey and Helms stare at one another before Helms points for Dicey to leave…

JT: Helms telling Dicey this isn’t his fight….a little too proud for his own good if you ask me….

Dicey stands his ground and seems ready to fight alongside Helms but then MH shoves him in the chest and shouts at him to get out. Dicey looks annoyed and shakes his head as he exits the ring, walking along the walkway and past the cackling Miss Jessica…

JR: Marty Helms just alienated the one person willing to help him out….not the smartest of tactics…

Helms is swaying, struggling to put weight on his knee, and he stares at Jessica again before turning around to face each of his attackers. Helms snarls and then beckons for them to come and fight him…

HE: Not wise, Marty….not wise at all…

JT: Helms knows no other way….

Nelson is the first through the ropes and Helms tears into him before driving him back to the corner. Helms begins firing with rights and lefts before Jimmy Phillips rushes in with a stomp to the back of Helms’ injured knee….he drags Helms around and sets up for a “Touchdown” but Helms elbows his way free….

JR: Marty Helms is one bad son of a gun and he’s going to fight until he can’t….

HE: AND NOW HE CAN’T!

James McManus has the steel pipe again and he ducks under Helms’ attack before slamming the weapon off of his kneecap. Helms drops down on all fours as Ricky Nelson runs out of the corner with a sickening low dropkick to the face….

JT: This is just senseless…

HE: No there is sense in it….Miss Jessica wants Marty Helms punished for turning his back on her….

JR: They were never in cahoots…..Helms made that clear….it isn’t his fault that Jessica wanted him to lead some kind of backstage war that none of us even have a clue about….Marty Helms doesn’t work for the establishment….

HE: He’ll be lucky to work at all after this…

Miss Jessica continues to smile and laugh as the beatdown of Helms continues and then James McManus applies a figure four in the centre of the ring. Helms is yelling in pain as Phillips and Nelson take it in turns to stomp down on his injured knee…

JT: Helms is being tortured here and Miss Jessica is loving every damn minute…

Miss Jessica slowly makes her way across the walkway and climbs through the ropes. He is watching Helms being deconstructed and smiles, vindictively….

Jessica: Marty, baby, it didn’t have to be this way…….but you broke my poor little heart and now you need to pay for that….you understand, don’t you?

Jessica kneels down and mockingly caresses Helms’ chin before slapping him across the face at full force.

Jessica: I’m not a complete monster though and I come bearing gifts, of sorts…..for weeks and months you’ve hounded me, to the point of boredom, about your worthiness of a shot at the 6CW Championship….although you don’t look very worthy right now do you?

*Another smile dances across her lips

Jessica: Well, Marty, today is your lucky day babe…..next week at Proving Grounds I’m going to let you kill two birds with one stone….see James here has been pursuing you ever since you put his wife in hospital and I reward those who please me so you and he will fight for the number one contender ship……oh and it will be LAST MAN STANDING!

JT: Whoah….that is huge….

Jessica: Which is quite amusing when you think about it….because looking at you I’m not sure you can even stand at all….but just incase there’s any life in that knee of yours….

Jessica suddenly clicks her fingers and Ricky Nelson climbs up onto the shoulders of Jimmy Phillips. Nelson stands up to full height before leaping off with a foot stomp across the knee, Helms’ scream of pain fills the air…

Jessica: If by some miracle you can beat James next week then I’ll let you have your one and only shot at the 6CW Championship comes Scars and Stripes….but something tells me you’re not going to make it that far…

You should know, Marty, that I take things very personally and I’m prone to uncontrollable outbursts of anger and vindictiveness…..like hello, psycho girl alert……you made me very unhappy when you rejected me and now you’re going to see what you could have won whilst I take everything away from you….

*McManus releases the submission hold and gets back to his feet as Helms writhes in pain on the floor. Nelson, Phillips and McManus shield Jessica as she continues to taunt Helms…

JR: Huge way to finish tonight’s broadcast folks…..Marty Helms has been subjected to one hell of a beating here and then he finds out that next week he and James McManus will go one on one for the number one contendership in a last man standing match….

JT: It’s a feud that has been built and burning for months now and next week they get a chance to settle the score….

HE: But Marty Helms is the proverbial one legged man….he’ll be lucky if he can walk….

JR: So much to consider ahead of what promises to be an incredible “Go Home” edition of Proving Grounds….we’ll catch you on the flip ladies and gentlemen….

JT: Goodnight!
