First topic message reminder :
Game's kicking off, may as well make a match thread.
EDIT: May as well make it a rolling thread.

Ha it was pretty obviously contact straight to the face, TMO said shoulder to head and Gardner ignored him.

Gardener giving a masterclass in only seeing what you want to see.

Slightly depressing how racism has reared its head much more publically recently.
In part possibly because whats considered racist seems to broaden all the time?
Possibly true. People who are used to be able to get away with things do not like it when their behaviour is deemed problematic.

You getting the same commentary collapse ie the Aussies? Terrible. Basically saying both yellow cards are rubbish and how can you clear out if players are low jackling. Blames the argentinians for play acting.

Ha yeah the commentators are typical Aussies. Its quite comical.
They blamed Sanchez for play acting then when Nick White does the same or worse absolute silence.

Argentina dont deserve to lose this game, they were the better side. Penalty counted was very one sided and unfairly so in my view.

You can really see the decline in NZ and Aus rugby when they’re struggling against Argentina (who are pretty awful). SA and England seem to be a fair way above these sides at the moment. Argentina are a very difficult side to like and would have enjoyed the Aussies stuffing them though.

Not sure SA can really be considered at the moment. They're improving but hard to know if they've caught up with NZ as yet.

Argentina are not awful and no way are england "far above" these sides. Just look at the rankings!

I said ‘a fair way’ not ‘far’. England are consistently much better than Australia and Argentina. NZ are on a downward trajectory. It depends how long it lasts.
SA is a strange one as we don’t quite know where they are at the moment.
Plenty to support England being the best side in the world at the moment.

Rankings arent the be all and end all as you dont you dont play everyone home and away every year which is the nearest conclusive way you can get. Results you'd have to say would be a be tick in favour of Cyril's point.

Only SA above England and, as stated, SA aren’t playing at the moment.
Would love to see a three-way tournament with England, SA and NZ to see where we really stand.
Shame we’ve had no proper AIs.

in Covid-world, I am not sure if we can really get anything more than a broad sense of things. I don't think most of the internationals recently have been great quality. Rather have it than nothing, though. Was also great to see a full stadium in Australia as if Covid didn't exist.......
