6CWF Chat v1 (100th edition)
First topic message reminder :
JJ,
Sorry about lack of a promo for last show, I was on holiday and took delivery of our puppy, truth be told, I needed a break from life.
Will sort something with Marky.

You should definitely bring back the grown up Scorpion. He wears a suit and goes by the name of Bull Scorpio. Maybe he's a manager for a new character you could create.

I seem to remember the guy that had Cobra as his character ended up becoming a bit of a big deal in some proper serious e-feds... Nothing like us rag tag bunch of divas!

I remember when Max Adamson joined one of those e-feds many years ago. Every promo was like a dissertation length monologue, with very little mention of the matches
Still nearly won a title with a tactic I like to call "quantity over quality", just replying to everyone in the multi man match I was in, and constantly trying to get the last word in the back and forth.
Not for me, nowhere near as fun as the 6's.

Re: 6CWF Chat v1 (100th edition)
Yeah I did some of those big-time e-feds and to be honest, they weren't all that. I did enjoy some of the shows themselves and they had some talented writers but the whole 5000 word promos every time was ridiculous. All in different fonts and about character's trains of thought etc.
I probably am biased but I believe what we have created since 2008 has been pretty special. And at times I don't think any company (believe or make believe) could have topped what we have come up with.

As I sat, staring out of the window of my New York City apartment, the rain droplets collecting and dancing into each other with the grace of the Bolshoi Ballet, a whole range of thoughts came into my head. Why am I so pretentious? What do I have to gain from typing like this? And are these font options necessary to promote a wrestling match? Is this why Debbie left me?

Re: 6CWF Chat v1 (100th edition)
Question of the day (or rather question from me)
Obviously our numbers are fairly limited. Returns from old faces are still likely and I’ve talked to a few but chances of attracting new faces is fairly unlikely on this board due to a lack of interest on the wrestling section.
If down the line I introduced some characters to flesh out the roster, would you be upset to lose to someone who doesn’t have a handler? Or actively promos?
This isn’t something set in stone, I’m just curious how people feel. It is something I did during the lockdown months and I enjoyed the stories I was able to create but there was only like 4-5 active guys on the roster at best
Whilst promos should be rewarded I said from the off I want everyone to enjoy this and the storylines etc. I don’t want anyone to take it too seriously.
Anyways let me know what you all think.

I think people would be annoyed if someone who didn't promo was a Champion ahead of them, but I doubt anyone would be too precious about the occasional win for storyline development

Re: 6CWF Chat v1 (100th edition)
Yeah I get that absolutely. I don’t think having someone without a handler holding a title would be a good look.
But for example: Say Rex was involved in a storyline for a month or so with Jackson Black and they traded a few wins/losses for storyline purposes (obviously would have to make sense). Would that spoil your enjoyment of the shows?
Like I said this is hypothetical and I’m interested in your views.

Morning all.
No problems in the slightest, Steve. I don't think it's that deep, I can't imagine why anyone would be annoyed. If anything, it helps progress storylines that we all enjoy reading so it's calm

Re: 6CWF Chat v1 (100th edition)
Like I said, it’s not something I’m looking at in the short term. I was just curious if people’s viewpoints.
Right now I like the set of guys we have and I really think there are a lot of great possibilities going forward.
Do any of you have a problem with introducing old faces for storyline purposes to get a few Ws on the board. For example the Liam Wood storyline thus far has seen him take on a lot of ex EWF guys who obviously don’t promo anymore.
My thinking behind that is if you watch WWE or AEW on the weekly it isn’t just the big stars going up against each other all the time. I don’t just want to do the same matches every week or pointless overloaded tag matches. I just want to try and create a sense of realism

I was thinking more Hooligan to be honest as he had credentials and I believe at least one PPV win over Max Adamson
And yes Ed I really don’t really know how to feel about Sunday. I think on paper it’s such a winnable game but this is the Ev so we’ll probably be 0-4 down inside 20 minutes

for QOTD about losing to characters who are making up numbers...if it makes sense then it makes sense and characters just winning can get boring...look at Cena, Reigns and Goldberg. A loss can at times, move a storyline much further than a win.

I'm promoing based on a Japanese gangster who is based on a PS1 game character. Who used to tag team with a guy who was firstly (and continuously) known for his flatulence. Sometimes alongside a failed Hollywood star that went from being religious to an arse hole (actually he was always an arse hole). Sandwiched between a guy whose calling card was dots interspersed in his promos and playing chess with a puppet.
Meanwhile back in reality, I have a house move going on, a big milestone birthday next year that I'm planning and dreading (more dreading). Real life Japanese clients that seem to actually work for the Yakuza with their passive aggressive emails.....potentially knowing Oko in that life imitating art vibe.
No JJ, you do what you need to do to make it work for you. I'm just here to make up the numbers.

I am well, thriving in life, sometimes. (my mens mental health is at an all time high)
I am however not a mod, that was merely alterations made to my account by one Mr Chris Wilkerson that I have been too lazy to change.
