Sorry I havent been about, I was off for a few days last week so I will get something up this week for S&S

Has anybody recovered from the absolute borefest of the England game yet?

I know people are saying how they're through in spite of performances, but has to catch up with him in the end. Be interesting to see what he goes with on Wednesday

I think if England had played better teams than Slovakia and Switzerland then they would have been knocked out because those performances just weren't good enough. Even in the group stages it was woeful. I get being cautious and playing defensive at times but there has to be an element of being positive going forward and not just relying on individual moments to get through games.

I do think England v Holland will be a better game because Holland will leave spaces in behind.

I think now Shaw is fit (enough), we should be going back to the 4-2-3-1, and leave Trippier out. I'm not against leaving Foden on the left if there's actually an overlapping left back.


Only this time, make changes earlier if it's not working maybe.

I still want Bellingham and Rice as the midfield pairing, and Foden ahead of them, but it won't happen.

I want Kane to get food poisoning so we can leave him out but that also is never going to happen.

Southgate would play a one legged Harry Kane over anyone else

Predictions for tonight?

Hope I am wrong and sounds mental but I'm saying 4-1 to Spain. Just see them exposing England behind the full backs time and time again. A good 45 minutes against Holland isn't enough to convince me that "it's coming home".

I said way before it started England would win and Bellingham will get the winner leading to a ballon d'or for him at the end of the year

I'm going 3-2 England, may end 2-2 in 90 and then win in extra time

Spain are huge favourites.

But it's coming home. It's undeniable.

Also if Spain win I get £80 from the work sweeps, so it's win win

I think "The Hour" match is the longest match I ever wrote (aside from Gateway to Glory) so be prepared for the long haul. It is 14k without entrances

I don't want to give away too much but I think the show delivers and sets up for an excellent new season. It was hard to pick winners for a variety of the matches but in my head it will certainly open up from here on out and we will see some fantastic feuds.

It has become increasingly difficult to get new members (or even old ones) and I've counted 10-12 that we have had back since last May who have fallen by the wayside so for me this is about consolidating the roster that we have and making it as engaging as it can be for all of those who are involved.

I know it's always great to have major returns (I'm not saying there won't be any) but what I have enjoyed about Scars and Stripes is I think it pays homage to you guys who are making this place tick.

Looking forward to the show tomorrow. I have a mad busy day with work but will try and sneakily read along as it's posted
