Tigers have names six that's right SIX props in the 23 man squad with young James Whitcombe at 6 (he's not jumping at the lineout) and then a further three on the bench. No front line players included it's a very much youngsters, loan and fringe player chance to get some minutes.

Doesn't Brink look like a prop as well? Some teams seem to be taking this a lot more seriously than others.

At 6ft3 he's taller than most props, he's a big lad but lacking the overall bulk to get into the shoving match ups. The number 20 on the bench has just been confirmed as a signing from Loughborough University and not a loan. Apparently the club are very impressed with him at 19 and think he's one they can develop. Mobile 6ft3 and a shade under 16 stone he's a backrow that has played some centre in the past and has apparently got an offload on him.

Strong backline for the PRC if Hegarty settles at 10. The forwards are a right rag tag bunch though. Whilst our player availability around the first XV has been very good there are a few injuries stacking up with the squad players and senior academy in the forwards.

Cam Henderson - Rumours he's blown out his knee
Lewis Chessum - Was on crutches a couple of weeks back
Emeka Ilione - Presumably still rehabbing injury from last season
Thom Smith - Played for Donny in preseason but not played since, I'd presume he is injured
Gareth Evans - Picked up an injury at the end of preseason and retired this week

With a much smaller senior squad these days it's left the forwards fairly thin on the ground. Hall and Poullet are from Notts.

Agbongbon is a new signing though as he's been added the senior squad list on the offy. I know nothing about him but obviously hope he shows up well.

I'm a bit surprised that Henri Lavin wasn't brought back in for a chance in the back row. He's finally fit, playing and doing well at Loughborough which is great to see.

Good point on Henri Lavin, he was a player of real promise out of the academy and with his inclusion we'd have been down to just 5 props in the squad. Maybe they are leaving him for a bit longer at Uni level before risking a step up.

Wasn't Emeka Ilione the guy who played in the U20's looked really good and then got injured? Its all too easy to get past first appearances but he looked very good if a bit too brave, or fragile. I just hope he's not one of those 'what if' players who retire hurt before getting their career going.

Yep, that's him. Ilione played for the U20s at only 18, looked good then got the injury he still seems to be rehabbing. It's only one injury though, it isn't an abnormally long layoff for a severe one.

He's still only 19 so has plenty of time. It wouldn't surprise me if he captained the England U20s at some point. He's very highly rated by the England age grades as well as Tigers.

He's also combining his rugby career with studying for a medical degree if I remember rightly. Switched university to be closer to Tigers. He's a bright lad, I was hoping he'd be recovered for these PRC games but sadly not.

To be fair Bath sent out something like a third team where as Glaws were quite strong. I similarly expect Tigers to take a battering today because Sale look strong and we've tested everybody. That's the thing with the PRC it ranks differently in club's priorities. Bath I suspect just want to get some players back from injury and protect those senior guys that are fit.

Am I right in saying the ref was hooked up to the PA system for the Gloucester Bath match so the crowd could hear his talks with TMOs?

I haven't seen any footage of it but that was certainly the plan pre-game if all the tech worked.

Constantly or like in the NFL where they can press a button and announce the decision?

I think it's for TMO decisions. The crowd will be able to hear the discussion between ref and TMO the same as a TV audience would.

Tigers Vs Wasps. Tigers continue the rotation aimed at getting players who need it some game time hence for the second week in a row we play a prop in the backrow. Not the best team to do that against. Wasps look like they are playing whomever is left standing such is their injury woes.

STARTING XV
15 Kini Murimurivalu [27]
14 Kobus van Wyk [16]
13 Guy Porter [23]
12 Dan Kelly [26]
11 Hosea Saumaki [2]
10 Dan Lancaster [1]
9 Jack van Poortvliet (c) [28]
1 James Whitcombe [8]
2 Charlie Clare [34]
3 Joe Heyes [79]
4 Ollie Chessum [15]
5 Calum Green [67]
6 Francois van Wyk [6]
7 Tommy Reffell [54]
8 George Martin [23]

REPLACEMENTS
16 Archie Vanes [1]
17 Dan Richardson [1]
18 Will Hurd [3]
19 Harry Wells [132]
20 Tomiwa Agbongbon [1]
21 Sam Edwards *
22 Juan Pablo Socino [3]
23 Jacob Cusick [1]

* denotes Leicester Tigers senior debut

Wasps: 15 Cameron Anderson, 14 Luke Mehson, 13 Rekeiti Ma’asi White, 12 Olly Hartley, 11 Ollie Dawkins, 10 Tommy Mathews, 9 Sam Wolstenholme (c); 1 Gordon Reid, 2 Michael van Vuuren, 3 Biyi Alo, 4 Tim Cardall, 5 Sebastian de Chaves, 6 James Tyas, 7 Mario Pichardie, 8 James Tunney

Replacements: 16 Dan Eckersley, 17 Zac Nearchou, 18 Pieter Scholtz, 19 Alfie Bell, 20 Fyn Brown, 21 Greg Fisilau, 22 Ollie Monye, 23 George Simpson

On paper it should be all Tigers but Wasps proved to be a tough ask Vs Falcons last weekend so are unlikely to roll over and Tigers will have to work for the win.

Lancaster Vs Matthews is a good battle of the young playmakers. They played together for the under 20s a few months back so will know each other well.
