Pests vs cheats
Good to see Odogwu back, although at wing. He really got injured at the worst possible time last year. There is an unfamiliar name at lock too. Seems to have been made captain.

Replacements: van Vuuren, West, Millar-Mills, Gaskell, Morris, Wolstenholme, Fekitoa, Miller

Bath wanted it/ needed it more, they were running around like loonies at the end. To be honest, despite living in the city I'm not always Bath rugby's biggest fan, but they deserved it tonight for their passion and grit.

Re: Premiership Round 14
Bath also a bit lucky maybe. Hughes picking the ball up from a ruck and being allowed to just drop it when Foley shouted no repeatedly and not getting penalised was a bit bizarre. A pen there and Quins either take 3 or kick to the corner and maybe get more. Instead the ball gets turned over shortly afterwards and Bath score down the other end. That was a clear turning point for me.

Re: Premiership Round 14
A glorious Bath renaissance has started......
Hooper was quoted last weekend for that Leinster game that Bath had 29 players either injured or ill.
Spencer, Redpath and JJ made a difference last night although the defence was still soft round the edges.
Bath had a fifth choice LH last night and a novice at FH and the pack had a very makeshift look about it but Quins were poor last night with errors and penalties conceded.
There are a few more players close to a comeback and badly needed.

Still not sure I understand how (or if) the Premiership really think about how to grow the sport. Only three matches today and two are at the same time. In a small league like the Premiership, not sure I understand why matches overlap with each other. Better opportunity for more tv coverage and more viewership if, for instance, there was a match at 3:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm.And Sunday, both matches are at 3:00pm. Don't get it.

The Prem only sold TV rights for three games a weekend I think. I'm fairly sure BT would cover them all if it was allowed.

Re: Premiership Round 14
Weird game by Saints. Only 42% possession in the first half. Three scoring opportunities, three tries. But little possession and poor play by Mitchell despite his try (he had a gap wider than all Worcestershire to jog through). Last two tries against 14 men. So, despite the score line, closer and not terribly well played.

Have you ever noticed that at least half the times the scrum halves start flapping their arms and complaining the ball isn't coming out of a ruck the referee ends up awarding the put-in to the other team?

Good win for Irish to do the double over the Chiefs this season - 2nd half must have been cagey as zero points for either team - that doesn't happen often ...

Sadly yes. During lockdown BT had all the games but as the crowds came back the number of games reverted to three per weekend. Different on European weekends where nearly all the games are covered.

I really didn't know that. I thought on the app everything was still shown live. So, here in America I can watch everything live and back home we can't? It sounds like the Premiership still has to learn what the NFL learned: People who watch on TV generally don't cannibalise the stadium attendance.formerly known as Sam wrote:doctor_grey wrote:Yeah, Peacock here in New Jersey. EDIT: Just asked my old man and he told me that this season he had to use a US VPN (my hospital's - so much for respecting privacy security laws) and my Peacock credentials which I must have given him at one point. Peacock allows a few different log-ins at the same time,

Re: Premiership Round 14
Falcons attack coach, what does he do during the week? There's some very good attacking talent there and some very dull set up that's wasting them. Haydon-Wood made a good impact and Radwan was electric.
Gloucester just look a well dialled in team. Skivington has done similar to Borthwick and put the building blocks in place gradually. Paying dividends now with good set piece giving them attacking opportunities.

He has to go Heaf.
Enough is enough. We actually have a good squad with some very dynamic players and we looks inept and like we've never trained together.
Time for a young up and coming coach who is looking for a team with huge young talent to use as a stepping stone. It's the perfect place.

You have a plastic pitch, it should be pretty much the same all year round?
I think you're right. Find a new up and coming coach, the Skivington or Borthwick equivalent.

Sam...you should see the response by the fan's tonight. I think Dean's on Borrowed time now.
And we're not expecting to be top of the table....we just want to see some genuine rugby like they have actually trained together...and use the attacking talent we have.

No, that was me from 3000 miles away coughing and choking on my food watching Saints play as poorly as a team can play and still come away with a bonus point win. I've had patients wake up after a surgical procedure with more energy and mental awareness than Saints yesterday.RDW wrote:Was it the ref or one of the players that was coughing away all game during Worcester v Northampton?

Ooft just turned on as Porter broke through. That's abysmal defence from Sale.
Porter has been such an impressive all round player for Tigers having signed from Sydney Uni though.
