We should know about the Wuss Falcons game by lunchtime, would be surprised if it happens.

Any potential buyer will be desperate for it to go ahead otherwise it's lost revenue at a time they can ill afford it and the PRL are unlikely to be amused.

I think that Wuss will have to go into administration before a new buyer will touch them - seems a lot to be unpicked in terms of assets... I don't think the current owners have access to the funds to make everything happen for the Falcons match. I really hope I'm wrong though...

Wow, looks like the game is on from what I'm hearing.

Yeah, seems it may well happen.
Really crap game for players on either side to get injured in and seems a bit pointless unless there is any prospect of Monday's deadline being met.

Worcester MP has asked the DCM&S to trigger the process to put Worcester into administration.

Re: Prem Round 2
It will be interesting to see what sort of side Wuss field. In order to get their PRC game on they had two guys come out of retirement. One of them being backs coach Jonny Goodridge who retired 9 years ago.
It's a sad state of affairs.
Stub, any truth in the rumour that the current owners want to maintain a 15% stake even if the new owners do takeover? If so that sounds very much like a final golden parachute as that 15% will be worth a lot more for them to sell once the new owners payoff the debts.

King Carlos, yes we are all hearing that the owners want to keep 15% but I haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere. Lots of conjecture as to whether that stake will be at a threshold which will give them a say in future land development deals. But as you say, it will give them a chunk of a potentially more attractive package either way once the mess is cleared up.

Re: Prem Round 2
The news that they reportedly borrowed £500k from Cecil Duckworth in 2018 that hasn't, and presumably now won't, been paid back is another sad bit of news in all things. After all Duckworth put into building Worcester to where they are (or possibly were...) it's so sad to see this situation emerge.

Yes, I think this news has been the hardest pill for Wuss supporters to swallow.
