Thirimarine, (the chap who got a 100 against Essex) will most likely replace him I'd have thought.

I think it will be him too. Just have to wait and hear the announcement.

Big, big loss. Who is the Sri Lankan vice captain who will take over leading the side? I assume it isn't Sanga or Jayawardene (M), so will that leave them with someone inexperienced leading them?

Sanga it is, who's going to captain Lanka.
Dilshan's loss is huge for the side though. I think Tiruman would come in place of the injured captain.
but will this at least prompt them to rethink about an imbalanced side? Their bowling may be week, but Farveez Maharoof at 7 weakens both batting and bowling, as he's pretty average in both departments. Lanka should bring in Chandimal in place of him and move Prasanna down to 7.

Really sorry to hear this. Dilshan was playing superbly and will be missed by all fans of cricket.
Sometimes this sort of loss to a team can make the other players really pull together and play out of their skins. Will this Sri Lanka side react in that way?
