Summer Eclectic Anyone?
I think it's about time we had another 606 comp, as the last one ended in March with a storming result for SR (I believe) If people are up for it, I nominate Mav to adjudicate/rules/scores as he is out of action for a while. OP is back playing and not a spaz anymore.
If enough fancy doing it, I'm sure we can sort something out again and there is a 606 email/contact list.
Do it now whlst Mav is out of the picture and LJ plays like a girl

I do not play like a girl! My golfing profanity is far superior to that of the other sex!

Been known! Back in the day I took one for the team on 2 occaisions. Once my mate wanted to sleep with a lovely MILF but she had a fat friend.. That she didn't want to leave alone so armed with a bag of flour and a blue pill I obliged! The other time another friend did the deed with a fairly good looking lady but his lady found out there'd been some ubgly bumping in her house while she was away so I stepped up to the plate and claimed I'd done the deed in their bed withou my friends prior knowledge. He is now married to her with 2 kids...
So if nothing else i'm a good friend!!!!

During a similar experience I agreed to the fat friend... then got so drunk that nothing would work so that the memories weren't too disturbing.

If we're telling stories, i once hit the sack with the friend of a girl my best mate fancied in order to help him out.
Funny thing was he later ditched 'his' girl for the mate i kopped off with and ended up engaged to her.
They are no longer though! Oddly......

Doc
I have noticed the word spaz appearing a bit lately.
My cousin and my wifes best friend were unfortunate to get polio in the 1950's and had to deal with that word.
Both are exceptionally brave and beautiful people and have enjoyed a full life in work. As they get older I am pained to watch then struggle with thier disability but they would be the last people to accept any sympathy.
My cousin became a staff nurse and was awarded the Queens nursing medal.
I know it is just 'a word' but I am sure folk , with a tiny bit of effort and understanding, could find a better one.

I'd be up for a summer eclectic if someone is going to organise it. I too wanted to play in the winter one but injuries stopped me

Re: Summer Eclectic Anyone?
I can confirm that JDandfries was the victor of the 606 Winter eclectic at 17 under even though I chopped him to scratch, closely followed by Doc and theshanker at 16 under - did the shanker come over to v2?
I would like to join in this time, as I was 'crocked' for the last one.
Time to update the list D4S and see about additions. I have changed my email since then, but did tell you.

Doon, my apologies if my comment has caused offence, and of course to anyone else. My own mother in law has been wheelchair bound most of her life through polio, and I use the same term to her. Anyone who has seen my cheeky face could never take offence at any derogatary terminology I use, as its always done with a smile and anyone who knows me and my dodgy sense of humour ......My own daughter has terminal cancer and she's known as the crip' by the way. Anyway, enough said, get your name down for the eclectic

Ok Doc.
Sorry if I did not catch your dodgy sense of humour.
The written word and the spoken word can always be misunderstood.

Yes, got your email thanks. I've amended the sheet and will mail it out to everyone again. I'll also try another push to get some of the old 606 regulars to sign up for here whilst I'm at it

count me in. though would prefer a shorter format than the 8[?] rounds you did last time. do all cards have to be taken from club comps / i.e. the same tees?

Thats an interesting question. Other than with guests I can't remember the last time I pegged it up off the yellow tee boxes.

Sharting should be allowed when wearing a leather thong with quick release velcro attachments and see through daisy dukes combined with nipple tassels.

Re: Summer Eclectic Anyone?
many clubs have varying sss' for shorter tees. our club is 72 off the whites but only 71 off the yellows.
i don't know what format has been used in the past, but for our season long handicap eclectic we deduct half of your lowest recorded exact handicap [over the course of the year] from your scratch score. this usually tends to bunch everyone up nicely after about 6 rounds.

If Mav is doing the adjudicating and score compilation, then maybe he should also be the rule arbiter and official handicap 'chopper'!
