6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*We open at ringside and it seems we are heading straight into the opening bout of the evening. JT and RJ welcome us to the show with a recap on last week and they tell us that Alex Walker is promising serious repercussions tonight for Anthony Grace, Robin Reborn and Clarke James. JT says he has heard rumours of firings and suspensions but as of yet there is no confirmation.
Bout 1
Clarke James vs The Saint
*The crowd are vociferous to kick off the show and waiting for the opening match. The Saint arrives to a standing ovation and he looks fired up to go to war. He paces the ring and waits as the commentators remind us of what went down at Beachfront Brawl.
*Clarke James arrives with his scarecrow mask with “The Fallen” in tow. They occupy the stage but The Saint is in no mood to hang around and leaps from the ring. He rushes up the ramp and blocks a punch from CJ before kneeing him in the gut and launches him against the entrance structure. He drops him with a huge right hand before dragging him back up and launches him with a Biel throw down the ramp, James’ back smashing off the solid steel.
*”The Fallen” look ready to attack but Saint glares at them and they think again. He follows CJ down the ramp and rocks him with big punches again before lifting him up and drops him across the ringside barrier. He then whips him into the steel steps with brutal impact as the commentators talk about how the inner beast seems to have been awoken within The Saint.
*Saint contemplates using the steps as a weapon and then decides it is the right idea. He scoops them up and waits for CJ to rise before he smashes them into his head. James is a broken mess as Saint throws him in the ring finally to get the match underway.
*CJ is on his knees and looks to be almost pleading but Saint boots him in the face. He drags his opponent up now and looks ready for “Divine Force” but James drops out and tries to counter with “Faithless”. Saint elbows his way free and then lands a huge double handed chokebomb. He drags James back up and destroys him with a jackhammer but refuses to cover, indicating he has more punishment planned.
*Saint looks to pick James onto his shoulders for the “Crucifier” (torture rack) but James claws at his eyes and bites at his head until he is able to free himself. He staggers to the corner. Saint rubs at his head and then rushes in but CJ has pulled the cover off the top turnbuckle and slams him into the exposed steel. He nails “Faithless” now but Saint kicks out. Saint is bleeding heavily.
*CJ kicks and stomps at Saint’s head and face before dropping into full mount with forearms and elbows. Saint’s blood is painted all over the arms and chest of James. CJ is handed his “railroad spike” from one of “The Fallen” but the referee tries to block him. James threatens the official but Saint roars to life and nails a crunching spear.
*Saint has the “spike” now and he is ready to use it. He has it ready as “The Fallen” storm the ring to cause a disqualification. Saint fights them off and launches them from the ring but then eats another huge “Faithless” from Clarke James as the crowd boo. CJ uses the “spike” now to spill more blood and Saint is a bloody mess. James indicates he is going to “take an eye” as the fans watch on in horror.
*Alex Walker is here and he looks irate. He wants a mic and he’s ready to make good on his promise of firing Clarke James. He is about to utter the words when James headbutts him and splits him open. James stomps and beats Walker before dragging him up and destroys him with “Faithless”. CJ and “The Fallen” stand tall as the crowd show their contempt. The commentators are calling for medics and wonder what the state of play in 6CWF is now that Alex Walker has been taken out.
*CJ and “The Fallen” leave the ring as Cody Walker comes through the crowd to check on his dad. Medical staff are on site too. Walker and Saint are both battered and bloody. Clarke James has a sick, sinister, smile on his face as Cody Walker glares up at him with a fire we have yet to see from the youngster.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*Immediately backstage and Anthony Grace and Robin Reborn are popping bottles of champagne in light of what has just happened to Alex Walker. They seem gleeful as they drink and we hear Reborn saying “We running this game now”. Anthony Grace takes a deep swig of champagne as his phone buzzes and rings. He looks at it and it says "Charles" but he puts it away
*Emmy is once again voicing her concern that Wood is being consumed by the “darkness”. Wood wants her to know he is always going to be “Liam Wood” and he isn’t changing or getting lost. However, going to war with someone like Engel Harlequin means that you cannot toe the line of acceptance and Emmy needs to realise that he may need to do some pretty “wicked” things himself in order to put Engel back in his box.
*Cody Walker is escorting his father to the ambulance. Clarissa wants to grab a quick word but it is clear Cody is hurting. He just wants Clarke James to know that there will be payback for what he has done here tonight.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Bout 2
Daniel Reilly vs Liam Wood
Daniel Reilly vs Liam Wood
*The commentators remind us of the past history between the next two combatants and we get clips of their issues during the Wood/Callihan feud. JT then walks us through how things have changed for both men since then with Reilly becoming European Champion and Wood settling things with Vincent Costello before the Engel saga began.
*Reilly takes an age to pose with his championship before the match can get underway. The two men go nose to nose and Reilly says something that provokes an angry outburst from Wood, who throws a headbutt into his opponent’s face. Reilly is staggered as Wood nails huge right hands and then whips him off the ropes and sends him flying with a massive backdrop. Reilly staggers back up and is chokeslammed into a backbreaker for a two.
*Wood looks for a helluva kick in the corner but Reilly moves and Wood gets trapped. Reilly circles the ring and runs back in, snapping Wood off the ropes with a modified German suplex (kind of like Nakamura). Wood stumbles up as Reilly pulls him into a vertical suplex for a two.
*Reilly stomps on his opponent and then drags him up and chucks him to the corner. He goes to the body with stomps and then attempts to lift Wood up on the ropes. Reilly sets for a superplex but Wood fires back with body shots and then he succeeds in throwing Reilly off the ropes to the outside, where he clatters into Oliver Keane. Wood composes himself and then leaps off the turnbuckle to the outside with a huge lariat as Reilly stands.
*Wood chucks Reilly back in the ring and follows. He whips Reilly off the ropes for the “World Eater” but Reilly counters with a hurricanrana in midair. They stumble up again and Reilly dives in for the “RKO” but Wood pushes him into the turnbuckle and then snaps off a dragon suplex as he returns. Reilly rolls over and into the corner as Wood scores with the helluva kick now. He makes the cover but Oliver Keane puts Reilly’s foot on the ropes.
*Wood thinks about going after Keane but concentrates back on Reilly. He ushers him up and looks for the “Manson Driver” but Reilly swipes his legs and then tries to twist Wood into an anklelock. Wood pushes himself into a forward roll and sends Reilly into the corner. He gets up and chases in now but Reilly slams his feet up and into Wood’s jaw, staggering him back. Reilly lifts himself onto the second rope and leaps off but lands straight into a dropkick. Wood scoops Reilly up into a lungblower from a deadlift position but only gets a two.
*Wood heads for the corner again. Oliver Keane tries to distract but Wood jumps across and boots him off the apron. This allows Reilly to attack from behind and he drags Wood into a back suplex but Wood flips out onto his feet and nails a discus elbow smash as Reilly turns around. Reilly is seeing stars as Wood nails a “final cut” suplex but it is only enough for a near fall.
*A “Viper Lock” is attempted but Reilly grabs Wood’s head and sits down into a jawbreaker that staggers him back. The Euro Champ rushes into the corner but eats knees as Wood responds. Wood lifts himself onto the second rope and looks to leap into the “Psycho Crusher” but Keane grabs his boots from the outside. Wood shrugs him off and leaps but Reilly is ready and jumps into midair to meet him with a huge European uppercut. Reilly flips Wood into a fallout neckbreaker but only gets a two.
*Reilly heads to the corner now and he wants the frogsplash but Wood jumps into the ropes and causes him to lose his balance. Wood climbs up now and nails a huge superplex as the crowd go wild. Wood seems to be preparing for a spear but Reilly rolls aside and Wood goes through the ropes and spears Oliver Keane (who had climbed onto the apron once more). Wood doesn’t look interested in Keane’s condition and climbs back through the ropes but it allows Reilly to kick him in the face and drills him with a hangman’s DDT (ala Randy Orton) for another two.
*Reilly lets Wood up and lifts him into a back suplex position before letting him drop out onto his back. The Euro Champ now heads for the corner and this time he is successful with the flying frogsplash but once more Wood shows his resilience and is able to kick out. Reilly complains to the referee and then sets for the “RKO” once more. Wood catches Reilly in mid-jump this time and launches him against the turnbuckle. He then runs in and splatters him with the “Psycho Crusher” stomp.
*Wood drags Reilly’s deadweight away from the ropes as the big screen comes on. Engel Harlequin is live and he wants to play a game. This one is simple; all Wood has to do is stay in the ring and finish his match…..and if he doesn’t then Engel is going to pay Emmy a visit and really kickstart things. We see that Engel is standing outside Wood’s locker-roon.
*Wood is raging now and heads for the ropes but the referee gets in his way. Wood is in no mood and sees red as he grabs the official and chucks him down. Wood then climbs through the ropes as Engel rolls from under the ring apron and smashes him in the head with a bat. Wood staggers back into the ring, dazed, as Reilly stumbles up and executes a picture perfect, devastating RKO. He covers and the referee has no choice but to count the three.
*Engel is all smiles as he stands on the outside and we hear him say “You broke the rules, Liam, they were so simple”. He licks his lips as he drags the bat with him and heads for the backstage area. JT and RJ are concerned that Emmy is in danger now after Wood lost “the game”.
*Wood is still flat out on the canvass as Reilly rolls from the ring and demands the referee raise his arm in victory once more. Oliver Keane stumbles up and is gleeful with the result despite taking some serious knocks during the contest. RJ says Reilly’s career is on the up and up whilst Liam Wood has entered into a very surreal and dangerous conflict with one of the most unhinged men to ever step foot in 6CWF.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*The commentators give us an update on Alex Walker and The Saint. Both men have been taking to a nearby medical facility. Walker is still unconscious. Saint is receiving treatment and may require some surgery on his face after the deep lacerations suffered at the hands of Clarke James. RJ believes there is “no doubt” that VIP Promotions will have to take action.
*Scene change and Geoff Steel is here. We can hear the crowd going wild. Steel is clearly still very banged up but looks in good spirits. He finds his way barred, however, by Daniel Reilly and Oliver Keane. Reilly tells Steel it was a mistake for him to come back, “but then again your whole career has been a mistake”….Reilly tells Steel to “be careful” and walks off with a smirk. Steel shakes his head and walks to the locker-rooms.
*GazzyD is here and it is clear he is feeling the effects of last week’s attack but he lets Tim Allen know that he is ready to fight and will teach Reborn a lesson tonight, and Grace if he gets involved too. Uryu appears and he wants Gazzy to know that he has his back tonight. Gazzy stares at Uryu for a moment but then nods and they shake hands. Gazzy wishes Uryu luck tonight against Rex. In the background we can hear music but there is no source of where it is coming from.
*Robin Reborn is bleating on to an Amazon executive that he wants another shot at the world title for putting Uryu in his place and what he is about to do to GazzyD. Reborn is praising himself for “viewing figures through the roof” but the executive says Amazon’s sway only reaches so far and VIP Promotions are pushing back as they want “other figures in the spotlight”. Reborn looks furious as this claim and says “You fools better sort this (beep)…check the contract sucka, ain’t no dancing monkey performing fo’ scraps”. Reborn says there gone be some learning tonight, he’ll take what he wants if they won’t give it to him.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Bout 3
GazzyD vs Robin Reborn
GazzyD vs Robin Reborn
*Raucous ovation for GazzyD as he enters the arena. The commentators talk about Gazzy’s health and how he can be nowhere near 100% following the heinous assault last week. RJ believes this whole issue between Gazzy/Uryu and Reborn/Grace has got out of hand. JT is surprised nobody has been suspended as of yet but with the attack on Alex Walker, who can make those kinds of decisions?
*Robin Reborn has his full entourage escorting him to ringside and he plays up to the camera. He talks about “Y’all in my house now” and points up at Gazzy. Reborn’s entourage hop the barricades now into the front row.
*There is plenty of needle between the two before they finally lockup. Reborn snaps free and slaps Gazzy in the face. He says “Put you in yo place, same way you should have your woman”. Gazzy suddenly takes Reborn down and begins to unload with a barrage of punches until the referee (who is very lenient) breaks them apart. Reborn rolls from the ring and is gesticulating to his entourage. He looks as though he is ready to leave but then Gazzy catapults over the top rope and takes him out with a crossbody.
*Gazzy rags Reborn up and launches him back in the ring. He stares at Reborn’s entourage for a moment and then climbs back inside. He beckons Reborn up and lands hard knife edge chops to the chest. He looks for an Irish whip but Reborn reverses and sends Gazzy to the corner. He sprints in after but Gazzy spins around the ropes and lands a kick over the top (ala Christian). Reborn staggers back as Gazzy springboards back in with a brutal front dropkick to the chest. He drags Reborn up and nails a faceplant suplex for a two.
*Gazzy heads for the ropes again but Reborn is up and swipes his legs, causing Gazzy to fall and crack his head against the top of the turnbuckle. Gazzy stays slumped there as the commentators remind us of the head trauma caused last week. Reborn climbs out onto the apron and runs across with a sickening kick that drives Gazzy’s head against the solid post again. Gazzy drops off and falls to the outside as Reborn orders the referee to count.
*The count reaches eight when Gazzy staggers back into the ring. Reborn is on him with brutal stomps to the head until the referee intervenes and gives him a stern talking to. Reborn stalks Gazzy now and looks for the “Worldstar” neckbreaker (Zigzag) but Gazzy shrugs him off. Reborn rolls back up and sprints over but Gazzy uses his momentum to push him through the air and over his head. Reborn lands on the turnbuckle and twists back off with a hard kick to the back of Gazzy’s head, which gains another two count.
*JT is concerned about the impact and damage Gazzy is taking to his head. Reborn pulls Gazzy up and wants the “God’s last gift” suplex but Gazzy sits down into a jawbreaker to break the hold. Reborn staggers back into the corner and Gazzy charges into him with a flying dropkick, followed by two more which eventually sit Reborn down. Gazzy runs in four a fourth time and nails a catapult low dropkick (ala Jeff Hardy). He pulls Reborn away from the ropes and scores with a split-legged moonsault (starship pain) but only good enough for a two.
*Gazzy signals for “Deep Impact” but Reborn counters with a backdrop which is subsequently turned into a rollup by Gazzy for two. They scramble up and Reborn ducks a clothesline and handsprings into the ropes but returns into a brilliant backstabber. Gazzy stumbles to the corner and hits a “spinal tap” (corkscrew tornado) but Reborn throws his arm up off the mat in time.
*Gazzy lets Reborn stand and tries to pull him into a “skull crushing finale” but Reborn spins clear and connects with a step-up enzeguiri, really lashing the kick against Gazzy’s head. Reborn nails a follow up poisonrana. Gazzy rolls onto his knees and eats a horrific superkick but somehow manages to get his shoulder up before the count can be completed.
*RJ and JT are both debating now on the referee’s role and if he should stop the bout. Reborn is mocking Gazzy as he heads for the corner and prepares for the “Red Arrow”. Gazzy moves at the final second but Reborn shows amazing athleticism to land on his feet. He lets Gazzy up and sprints at him but Gazzy shows amazing presence of mind to leap up and land a hurricanrana that sends Reborn through the ropes to the apron. Gazzy then springs from the corner with a dropkick (ala Jericho) that knocks Reborn to the arena floor.
*Gazzy gives chase as Reborn is over by his entourage again. Gazzy stares at them as he smashes Reborn’s head off the railing and then drags him across and smashes his head off the steel steps. He throws him back in the ring and leaps onto the apron. He looks for a springboard 450 but eats knees on landing. Reborn nails the “Worldstar” now but Gazzy kicks out.
*There is real contempt between Reborn and the referee now. Reborn looks exasperated as he leaps onto the apron. He prepares for a springboard forearm smash but misses and eats a “skull crushing finale” for a nearfall. Gazzy draws on the energy of the crowd now as he beckons Reborn up and kicks him in the gut. He prepares for the “Deep Impact” but Reborn swipes his legs and slingshots him to the corner. Gazzy tries to land on the ropes but ends up cracking his head again. Reborn rolls him up but Gazzy finds a way out.
*Reborn pulls Gazzy up for the “Wingclipper” but Gazzy shoves him away to the corner. He follows in but Reborn throws his legs up and wraps them around Gazzy’s neck. They struggle for a few moments and then Gazzy summons all of his strength to pull Reborn off the turnbuckle and twists him into a powerbomb position. Suddenly Gazzy collapses and the referee races to his aid. Reborn throws something from the ring and JT believes a member of his entourage passed him something earlier. The cameras pick up on a custom designed gold knuckle duster on the outside.
*Reborn smirks as he follows up with the “Wing Clipper” for the three count. The crowd are booing furiously but Reborn isn’t done. He has two steel chairs now and is ready to deliver a solo con-chair-to to Gazzy but Uryu runs out for the save. Reborn tries to swing one of the chairs at the champion but he ducks it and comes back with a slingblade. Uryu contemplates using a chair but then superkicks Reborn in the back of the head. He sets for the “Split Second” but Anthony Grace comes through the crowd and nails a low blow.
*Reborn and Grace drag Gazzy up and they throw him through the ropes with serious menace so that his skull cracks into the solid LED ringpost. Gazzy just slumps out, unconscious, as they turn their attentions on Uryu now. The commentators remind us that Uryu still has his world title to defend here tonight. They grab a chair each but Uryu ducks the “conchairto” attempt and then dropkicks a chair in Grace’s face. Reborn swings his chair but misses and hits the turnbuckle as Uryu superkicks him in the back of the head again and sends him from the ring.
*Christy James is here and she announces VIP Promotions want her running things in the absence of Alex Walker. She is warning Reborn and Grace that they will be “fired” if they don’t leave ringside now. Grace and Reborn look ready to challenge this but skulk away. Uryu is still readying for a fight but then drops to his knees, looking weary, as the commentators debate on whether the champion can go through with his defence tonight.
*Christy James is left looking extremely concerned from the stage. Gazzy is being tended to by the ringside doctor whilst Uryu remains unconscious in the ring. Grace and Reborn pass Christy with a smirk and we hear Reborn say “This ain’t over babygirl….yo boys are done”.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*Backstage Cameron Faith is visiting Geoff Steel. Steel thanks Faith for saving him. Faith brushes it off but doesn’t think Steel should be here tonight. Steel assures him he is good to go and doesn’t want Faith taking it easy in their match tonight. Steel also wants Faith to be careful with Blue Dragon but Faith says “this is just something I have to do”.
*There is a backstage squabble between James McManus and O’Callaghan. It seems there is some needle between the two and OC laughs in McManus’ face at the suggestion that he is a better wrestler. McManus promises to put O’Callaghan in his place and put the rest of the roster on notice. He says he will hold championship gold by the end of 2023.
*Rex Adamson is doing some last minute prep for his world title challenge tonight. Jack Reynolds with the interview and Rex talks about realising a dream tonight. He says he was sorry to see Uryu get hurt earlier tonight but if he can’t compete then Rex will take the championship from him. Jerome Dubois interrupts. He tells Rex it would be an insult and a travesty to the name of “6CW” if he wins the title tonight. Rex says Dubois should just worry about what Mike Hill is going to do to him….but if they ever do cross paths, he will enjoy every second of humiliating the Frenchmen. Rex barges Dubois away and strides off.
*Christy is in the trainer’s room as both Uryu and Gazzy are receiving treatment. The medical staff are sure Gazzy has concussion and that Uryu potentially could. Christy says that is strike 3 for Reborn and Grace and she is ready to give punishment but Gazzy stops here because he has another idea.
Christy wants an update on Uryu and if he can compete here tonight. She looks sheepish as she talks about a “relinquishment” but says VIP Promotions are pushing for a 6CW Championship main event. The doctors say they need a little more time but Uryu says he will compete, no matter what. Christy looks concerned as Gazzy watches the two of them. The 6CW Championship is on the table in front of them and Gazzy’s eyes occasionally look at the belt and then back at his wife.
*Backstage and Liam Wood barges into the changing room to see if Emmy is ok. She screams but promises she is and Engel has been nowhere near her. Wood looks ready to launch a chair through the mirror but calms himself. Emmy wants to leave and Wood agrees but after a show. He heads inside and starts to run the water but it turns to green and stings at his eyes. Suddenly there is another scream. He staggers out of the shower and Engel attacks him. Emmy looks terrified as Engel hauls Wood over the top of the dressing table and he smashes through the mirror, leaving shards of glass everywhere. Engel gets up close to Emmy, who is trembling, and tells her “Oh this is going to the most enjoyable game I have ever played hehehe”….he strokes her cheek and then backs off as Wood is covered in glass and blood on the floor. Emmy screams for medical attention.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Bout 4
Cameron Faith vs Geoff Steel vs James McManus vs O’Callaghan
Cameron Faith vs Geoff Steel vs James McManus vs O’Callaghan
*The commentators give us the run down on the next match and how it is filled with superstars who are looking to propel themselves back into contention after a bad result or two. JT gives us the background on Cameron Faith/Geoff Steel’s friendship and they deliberate on how that may factor into this contest. James McManus looks brooding whilst O’Callaghan stands on the ropes and conducts the crowd with a rendition of his theme music.
*Faith has one eye on Steel, who is bandaged up, and quickly runs across to dropkick McManus through the ropes as he makes a beeline for the injured superstar. McManus gets up on the apron and Faith nails him with a pele kick that fells him to the arena floor. OC then rushes in and clatters Faith before dragging him away from the ropes and into a huge release German suplex. OC welcomes Faith back up but is dropped by a huge clothesline from Geoff Steel. Steel drags OC up and suplexes him into a front slam as the crowd cheer. Steel and Faith stare at one another and he nods at Faith before indicating he’s good to go.
*Faith rises and he gets ready to lock up with Steel but McManus drags Steel under the ropes and slams him, ribs first, into the ringside barrier. Steel collapses in a heap and McManus readies for a further attack but Faith suicide dives through the ropes and wipes him out. Faith checks on Steel and then heads back to the ring. He climbs up the ropes and prepares for an elbow drop on O’Callaghan but the Irishman is up. OC runs up the ropes and nails a top rope armdrag takedown on the Scotsman. They get back up and Faith walks into a belly to belly suplex. OC then heads for the corner himself and he scores with an excellent 360 splash but McManus breaks up the pinfall.
*McManus clubs OC and then drags him up and chucks him from the ring. He fixes his gaze on Faith now and attempts a “knee trembler” but Faith dodges and rolls his foe up for a two. They scramble back up and McManus lands a hard kick to the gut before attempting the “River Wensum Plunge” but Faith swipes his legs and bridges over for two again. McManus bridges out and swings free before attempting a big time lariat but Faith dodges and nails the “Ghetto Blaster” (backbreaker into a neckbreaker). Faith heads for the corner and he scores with the “Leap of Faith” (Double rotation moonsault) but O’Callaghan places McManus’ boot on the ropes from the outside.
*OC rolls back in and he takes Faith down with a chopblock. He looks to grab him for the sharpshooter but Faith manages to kick him away and straight into the path of Geoff Steel. Steel scoops OC on his shoulders and nails an “Attitude Adjustment” that sends the Irishman over the top rope to the outside. Faith and Steel stare at one another again and Steel is adamant that they fight. Faith rises and they circle again before locking up. Steel twists the arm but Faith lands a kick to the injured ribs. He looks momentarily concerned but then runs the ropes, only to return into a huge pop up that leaves him to splatter down on his chest. The commentators believe that Faith’s concern for Steel’s well being is costing him.
*Steel drags Faith up for the “Bladecutter” but Faith counters with a backdrop. He stumbles to the corner and waits for Steel to rise as he prepares for the superkick. He jumps out but Steel catches his leg and then swipes his standing one. He looks to turn Faith into the “Steelworks” as Faith desperately thrashes from side to side to avoid. Steel has just about turned Faith over when James McManus steals in and scoops Steel up before nailing a death valley driver. He looks to have the three but OC dives into shot and breaks the pin.
*OC and McManus clash now, trading vicious chops and forearms. McManus is staggered and O’Callaghan looks for an Irish whip but McManus turns inside and drags OC onto his shoulders. He prepares for “MK Ultra” but OC rolls down the back and transitions into the sharpshooter. McManus is screaming in pain and tries to get to the ropes but can’t make it. OC is sat right back into the submission and it looks inevitable before Cameron Faith lands the superkick right on the jaw to break the submission. Faith crawls into the cover but doesn’t realise OC is close enough to put his arm on the bottom rope.
*Faith staggers up and he has a decision to make as he watches all three opponents struggling to their feet. McManus is the first up and Faith dives toward him for the superkick but McManus ducks it. He scoops Faith up and is readying for the “Tombstone” when Steel crashes into them both with a spear that leaves everyone down in a heap once more. Steel is clutching his ribs as he stumbles up but he takes a deep breath and heads for the corner. The commentators don’t think it is wise but Steel climbs high. He launches himself into a picture perfect flying headbutt but McManus moves and Steel lands hard on the canvass. McManus hits Steel with the “MK Ultra” and looks to have it sewn up but Cameron Faith breaks it up.
*McManus rushes at Faith but the Scotsman pulls down the top rope and sends him flying to the outside. Faith then waits for O’Callaghan to rise and looks for the superkick again but OC counters with a drop toe hold across the ropes. 619 lands and the crowd are going wild. O’Callaghan springboards in and lands a huge frogsplash on Faith but Steel drags him off the cover before three. Steel tries to twist OC into the “Steelworks” now but OC kicks out repeatedly at the injured body until Steel releases. OC stumbles up now and he dodges a wild right hand from Steel before slapping on the cobra clutch. Steel tries to fight but it is clear he is in a bad way and starts to fade. The referee checks Steel’s pulse but he raises his arm on the third attempt as the crowd will him on. Steel summons all of his power to step inside of OC and lift him into a huge back suplex to break the hold.
*Cameron Faith uses the ropes to drag himself up now and he waits for O’Callaghan to rise. He leaps for the superkick but OC ducks it and looks for a back suplex of his own but Faith shows amazing athleticism to flip out onto his feet. He staggers back into the corner and then detonates the superkick on the jaw as OC turns around. Faith is ready to cover when he realises the referee is checking on Geoff Steel, who has coughed some blood onto the canvass. Faith quickly rushes over to check on Steel and it allows James McManus to clatter him from behind and roll him up with a handful of tights for the three.
*McManus rolls from the ring and punches the air as the commentators talk about his losing streak ending. RJ believes Cameron Faith’s friendship and concern for Geoff Steel cost him a big victory in this one. Faith is kneeling, looking rueful, before he turns to check on Steel once more. Blue Dragon comes through the crowd and he attacks Faith from behind. He whips him off the ropes and drills him with a spinebuster. Dragon has the “Gauntlet” and is readying to split Faith open once again but eats a spear from Geoff Steel as the crowd go wild. Steel helps Faith to his feet and they send BD packing with a double clothesline that takes him over the top rope and staggering into the aisleway.
*Steel is bent double, clearly in pain, as Dragon stares back at the ring with real menace. Cameron Faith glares back at him and the commentators talk about how the issues between these men are far from done. JT believes it would be wise for Geoff Steel to steer clear but Cameron Faith is unlikely to back down from a “years in the making showdown” with Dragon. RJ believes Steel and BD’s saga may have come to a close but Steel wasn’t about to just sit there and let Faith take a beating after Faith’s sacrifice at Beachfront Brawl. Faith and Dragon continue to stare at one another as the action leaves ringside.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*Immediately backstage after a break and Blue Dragon is standing with Clarissa. He snatches the mic and he is throwing down the challenge to Cameron Faith. If he wants to sacrifice himself for Geoff Steel then he can take Steel’s place as an ultimate sacrifice at Destiny. Blue Dragon says “the name and existence of Cameron Faith will die just like Nay Bother before him”….Blue Dragon is promising to end what his brother, Logan Kincade, started many years ago.
*Jerome Dubois is ready for Mike Hill and prove his worth to this company. He won’t bend the knee to JJ Johnson but it is a disgrace that Amazon and VIP Promotions have not offered him a lucrative contract. Dubois also talks about how he is “6CW” and it is insulting that JJ Johnson has tried to take that away from him….he also reiterates that Rex Adamson representing as 6CW World Champion would be the “Biggest tragedy in the history of the company”. Dubois says he is restoring pride and God help anyone who gets in his way.
*Mike Hill is doing his final prep. Tim Allen with the interview and Hill says he will put Dubois down tonight. Hill talks about the whole “6CW/6WF” divide but he represented both companies and did so at the elite level…something which eats Dubois up inside. Hill says Dubois never has and never will be on his level and that will be proved once and for all here tonight.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Bout 5
Jerome Dubois vs Mike Hill
Jerome Dubois vs Mike Hill
*We get a recap on the issues that arose between these two men at Beachfront Brawl before being exasperated last week during the Battle Royal when Dubois attacked and eliminated Hill. Dubois is first out to a cacophony of boos, he is wearing a brand new purple robe with “6CW” emblazoned on it in gold. He climbs up into the ring and mocks the crowd’s reaction to him.
*Mike Hill is next out and although some boos remain it is clear that the crowd are much more in the favour of the veteran than his opponent. Hill looks ready for a fight, not displaying his usual arrogance, and he leaps up onto the apron. He springboards in whilst Dubois is taking off his robe and lands a dropkick that wipes him off his feet. The bell sounds as Hill lifts Dubois into an inverted atomic drop and knocks him down with a spinning heel kick.
*Dubois takes vicious chops to the chest. Hill looks for an Irish whip but Dubois turns inside and pulls him into a spinebuster attempt, only for Hill to counter with a tornado DDT. Dubois rolls from the ring for a breather but Hill runs over and corkscrews over the top into a takedown. He drags Dubois up and throws him in the ring. He then planchas over the top and covers but gets a two.
*Hill looks for a suplex but Dubois floats over the back and shoves him into the corner. Hill springs onto the ropes and floats back with a crossbody for a two. They get back up and Dubois draws the crowds’ ire by poking the eyes. He quickly runs the ropes and nails the “French Connection” spear for two count. Dubois complains loudly.
*Dubois slaps Hill around and then drags him up for the “Culture Shock” (dominator) but Hill counters into a rolling cradle for a two. They scramble up and Hill ducks a clothesline and springboards off the ropes but Dubois grabs his leg and pulls him down, guillotining him. He drags him around into the “Au Revoir” (sitout spinebuster) for a two count.
*Dubois does a jig and drops a “French Elbow” before he drags Hill up. He flips him for the “Garlic Bomb” but Hill drives punches into his head and nails a “hill-can-rana” that sends Dubois into the turnbuckle. Hill runs in and dropkicks him in the spine. He lifts Dubois onto the second rope and climbs up before scoring a back suplex for a nearfall.
*Hill sets for “Over the Hill” but Dubois rakes his back and pushes him into the ref. The ref is momentarily dazed as Dubois nails a low blow and the “Garlic Bomb” but Hill shows resilience to kick out. Dubois pulls Hill up for the “Go Flasher” (Suplex into front slam) but Hill floats over the back and staggers away. Dubois runs at him but Hill sidesteps and sends him off the ropes before connecting with a second hurricanrana takedown.
*Dubois stumbles up and Hill lands a pele kick and follows up with a lionsault for a nearfall. Hill heads for the corner and looks for the “Next big move” but Dubois moves at the final second, sending his opponent into the mat. Dubois nails a “Rude” neckbreaker for another two.
*Dubois is getting annoyed now and has words with the referee. He pulls Hill up for the “Culture Shock” once more but Hill kicks his feet until he drops off the back. Dubois spins and looks for a forearm smash but Hill dodges it and the referee takes the knock again. Dubois looks annoyed but has no time to react as Hill springs off the ropes and nails a modified “Over the Hill” as the crowd go wild, however, there is no referee.
*Hill tries to revive the ref but to no avail. He bounces off the ropes and nails a low dropkick to Dubois’ face as he tries to stand and then heads for the corner. He readies himself for the “Next Big Move” when Cassidy runs down to ringside. The commentators are shocked as Cassidy shoves Hill off the ropes and he drops, throat first, across the ropes. Cassidy has a huge grin on his face as he drops down.
*Dubois recovers and he nails Hill with “Fortune” (Go Flasher) as the referee recovers and is able to count the three. The crowd are booing furiously as Dubois is declared victorious. Cassidy continues to smile from the aisleway as the commentators question his motives. Is Dubois the man behind Cassidy’s resurgence? Dubois mockingly pretends to wipe his feet on his downed foe before climbing from the ring. He stands next to Cassidy as Hill stares out at them with a great deal of dislike.
*Dubois says something and Cassidy nods. It seems they are coming back to finish the job. The crowd roar as Rex Adamson comes sprinting out to ringside. Dubois and Cassidy flee as Rex helps Mike Hill up and all four men stare down. The commentators wonder if it is wise for Rex’s attention to be anywhere else but tonight’s main event but there is a growing respect between Adamson and Hill. Dubois and Cassidy glare back with great dislike before the action goes backstage.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*The 6WF World Heavyweight Champion is here, dressed in a designer suit. Eddy Kent says he was sorry to see what happened to Alex Walker here tonight but he will continue to do him proud and represent Genesis by being the greatest world champion in history. Kent dismisses and brushes off the impending challenge of Scott Harris. He says Harris has never beaten him and never will because “there are levels to this and Proving Grounds Papa just can't lose”….
*Tyler Roth is promising that if Cerberus wants a war then that is exactly what he will get. They don’t need to do all the mindgames, smoke and mirrors. Just throw down and fight like the beasts that they are. Roth says “I’m not hard to find”.
*Cassidy swaggers into the back with Jerome Dubois by his side. Dubois claps Cassidy on the back. Tim Allen wants to know if Dubois is the man leading Cassidy’s new path but Cassidy says Dubois is “merely a mutual party”. Cassidy says his “inspiration” has told him that he and Dubois are not dissimilar and can achieve great things if they work in tandem. Cassidy says Mike Hill got overconfident and forgot himself….so he had to be punished. Cassidy says the “punishments will continue”. Dubois slaps him on the back again but he tells Tim Allen that Mike Hill meddled too often and he has been put in his place. Dubois believes he represented 6CW proudly. He also refuses to reveal Cassidy’s “inspiration”. Dubois says after that he should be next in line for a 6CW Championship shot.
*Christy James is alone in the Boardroom. She is reading something when she hears a tinkling of music and looks up. She has to stifle a scream as Edward Plague is staring at her from the other end of the table, the old music box in front of him. Plague is promising “something big is coming” and he cannot wait to watch it all unfold. He tells Christy she should “Run for the hills” with her child and seek safe refuge from the impending storm….because “when he arrives, nobody will be safe”. Plague continues to smile at her as the scene ends.
*Uryu leaves the trainer’s room and he comes face to face with Rex Adamson. They just stare at one another for almost a full minute. Rex nods his head and offers a hand. Uryu takes a moment and then shakes it as the crowd cheer.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Bout 6
Dicey Reilly/Scott Harris/Tyler Roth vs Eddy Kent/Marty Helms/Cerberus
Dicey Reilly/Scott Harris/Tyler Roth vs Eddy Kent/Marty Helms/Cerberus
*This match is set up to be utter chaos and it does not disappoint. Marty Helms and Dicey Reilly are brawling backstage before they have even had chance to get out to ringside. Dicey smashes Helms head-first into a hangar door and suplexes him onto the concrete floor.
*At ringside Eddy Kent is parading with his 6CWF Championship as Scott Harris makes his way out to the ring. They brawl and Harris goes to town with multiple overhead and German suplexes. He whips Kent into the corner and destroys him with a t-bone as he walks back out. Harris is all kinds of fired up.
*Tyler Roth makes his entrance now and a pyro explodes in his face. He is blinded and we hear Cara’s wicked laugh. Cerberus is out now and he chokeslams Roth on the stage. Cara kneels next to Roth now and gives him the “kiss of death”. Cerberus dismantles a section of the stage now and the crowd watch on in horror as he picks Roth up into the “Death Bell Tolls” and just launches him through the hole in the stage and down onto the concrete floor. Medics are being called as Cerberus drags the stage panel and puts it back in place, keeping Roth locked and buried underneath. Cara smiles and places a hand on her man’s shoulder. Cerberus considers his work down and leaves ringside as the commentators talk up the escalating issues between the two behemoths.
*Backstage and Dicey has Helms on top of the catering tables and is preparing for the “Craicdown” but Helms backdrops him off onto the concrete floor. He drops down and grabs a production case. Dicey staggers up as Helms drives it into him and crushes him backward, pinning him against the wall. Helms backs away out of shot and then he flies back in and over the top of the case with a “claymore” boot that smashes Dicey’s head back into the wall. Helms is letting Dicey know that he gladly accepts his challenge for a “Street Fight” at Destiny.
*Ringside and we see medics and production workers ensuring Roth’s safety and removal from under the stage. Back in the ring and Scott Harris is lighting Eddy Kent up with knife edge chops and then lifts him high. He prepares for a superplex but Kent rakes the eyes and throws him off the ropes. Kent looks for the “Kenty Bomb” but lands across knees. Harris nails five consecutive German suplexes now and follows up with the frogsplash. The commentators believe Harris is sending a very real message ahead of Destiny.
*Harris looks for the “Shot in the Dark” but Kent drops over and spins him around before nailing the “Mic Check”. The world champion is angry now and he wants the “Genesis Kick” but Harris catches his leg and spins him into the “Shot in the Dark”. The crowd are going wild as Harris synches in the sharpshooter.
*Kent is screaming in pain but the commentators aren’t even sure the match has ever begun. Suddenly Michael Sweetwater is here and he attacks Harris from behind. It seems Kent’s former running buddy is back in the mix. Sweetwater beats down on Harris and then goes high for the “Six Feet Deep” (Foot stomp) but Harris avoids. Harris nails him with a codebreaker as he turns around. Harris locks in the sharpshooter and Sweewater is tapping furiously.
*Kent has rolled from the ring and grabbed the 6WF Championship. He smashes it into Harris’ face now as the crowd boo. Kent is punching and beating Harris furiously before dragging him into the “Kentlock” until he passes out. Kent is kneeling over Harris now and screaming that he will never take his championship away.
*Backstage and Marty Helms has come back with his nightstick and he chokes Dicey up against the wall with it. He draws it back and slams the weapon into Dicey’s throat before security and backstage personnel pile in to break them apart. Helms is promising the end of Dicey Reilly at Destiny before striding off, leaving Dicey in a heap.
*Back in the ring and Scott Harris is somehow trying to get up, despite the beating he has took. Kent looks for the “Genesis Kick” but Harris dodges it and he swipes the legs again and locks in the sharpshooter. Kent is trying to scramble away but he cannot and is screaming in pain. Sweetwater lands a low blow from behind now. Kent gets free and follows up with the “Genesis Kick”. He stands tall and holds his championship high as the crowd boo. The commentators believe that Kent knows his title reign is in serious jeopardy and that is why Sweetwater is back on the scene.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*The commentators recap on the mayhem we have just seen and confirm that Dicey Reilly vs Marty Helms in a “Street Fight” is now official for Destiny. Scott Haris hobbles into the backstage area and he is all kinds of fired up after what has gone down. He doesn’t care who is in charge but he wants Eddy Kent vs Scott Harris at Destiny to be a “60 Minute Iron Man Match”. He wants to prove once and for all that he is better. But he doesn’t think Kent has the “guts” to do “the hour”.
*Uryu is sitting on the rooftops, staring out at the night sky. Christy visits him. She isn’t sure it is the right thing but she knows she can’t talk him out of it. Uryu says being champion is everything to him….like a soulmate (they stare at each other at this) that he cannot be without and he would “rather die than give it up”. Uryu promises to give everything out there tonight and if this is his last moments as world champion then he wants it to be remembered forever. Christy puts her hand on Uryu’s shoulder as he passes. He nods at her and leaves. She is left staring out now, one hand on her stomach.
*We see Rex Adamson walking to Gorilla. Max is with him. They hug and then Max walks away as Rex psyches himself up and then heads up the steps toward the stage.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
Main Event
6CW World Championship
Uryu Ishida (c) vs Rex Adamson
6CW World Championship
Uryu Ishida (c) vs Rex Adamson
*Huge fight feel in the arena as we prepare for the main event and the 6CW Championship match. Rex Adamson arrives and there is definitely support for the youngster as he bids to make history and become the fastest ever world champion. He hands over his “Key to the Kingdom” Championship and the commentators remind us that the title is now “vacant” once more as Rex has cashed in his opportunity.
*Rousing ovation for Uryu Ishida as he arrives. Major deliberation from commentary as to whether he should have been cleared after the earlier assault from Reborn and Grace but Ishida was insistent. We get a history lesson in Uryu vs Max Adamson and they draw parallels on tonight’s showdown.
*The referee raises the 6CW Championship and all eyes are on the prize. Rex nods respectfully at the champ as the bell rings and they circle one another. They lock up, traditionally, and Rex shows his power advantage by launching the champion to the canvass. They lockup again and Rex repeats the process, grinning cockily. They tie up for a third time and Rex lifts Uryu off the floor and throws him into the corner. He runs in for a huge clothesline but eats double feet in the face. Uryu spins and springs off the turnbuckle for a crossbody but Rex catches him. Adamson throws him up on his shoulders for the “Fire/Thunder Driver” but Ishida kicks off the back and runs the ropes. Rex uses his momentum to tilt-a-whirl him but Uryu counters into a headscissors that sends the challenger from the ring.
*Ishida, unwisely, runs now and sentons over the top rope into a takedown on Rex, drawing huge cheers. He throws the challenger back in the ring and climbs on the apron. He springs in for a flying forearm but Rex catches him and nails a huge overhead throw. Rex lets Uryu back up and connects with a massive release German suplex for another two.
*Rex wants the “Gore” but runs into a crunching dropkick from the champion. Uryu performs a mahistrol cradle for a two. They scramble up and Ishida looks for a springboard tornado DDT but Rex catches him again and counters into a huge northern lights suplex for a near fall. Rex backs in the corner and then shotgun rolls out into a huge front dropkick to the chest that sends Uryu crashing back in the corner. Adamson then sprints in for a cannonball splash but Uryu moves at the final second and sends his opponent against the turnbuckle. Uryu climbs onto the second rope and nails a “Phoenix splash” for a two.
*Uryu chops at Rex with calf kicks as he stands and then runs the ropes. Rex looks to counter with a discus lariat but Uryu dodges and this time he nails a springboard tornado DDT but only gets a two. Ishida grabs the arm of Rex and tries to pull him into “Sunset” (Bridging Fujiwara armbar) but Rex shows immense strength to lift Uryu up in the air with one arm. Uryu somehow scrambles onto Rex’s shoulders and nails a poisonrana. Rex rolls over on his knees and Ishida crashes a buzzsaw kick into his temple but the challenger kicks out.
*A “this is awesome” chant is ringing all around. Uryu climbs onto the apron and looks for a springboard x-factor facebuster but Rex leaps into the air and greets him with a heavy knee. Adamson runs the ropes and returns with a brutal lariat to the back of Uryu’s neck before he drags him back up and executes a huge powerbomb (Keith Lee style) for the nearest of falls.
*Rex wants the “Brock lock” now but Uryu fights it and kicks out repeatedly at Rex’s head until he releases. The champion rushes up as Rex sprints back at him for the “Gore” but he throws himself out of the firing line and Adamson hits the ringpost. Uryu rolls him up but Rex kicks out. It is clear Ishida is hurting but he won’t be deterred. He heads for the corner now and leaps into a crossbody but Rex rolls through with the champ in his arms. He nails three rib-breakers in a row and then walks up the ropes and lands a huge fall away slam from the second. Rex climbs the ropes now and lands a huge missile dropkick for a two count.
*JT is sure we are going to see history made tonight as Rex grows stronger and stronger. He scoops Ishida for the “Fire/Thunder Driver” but Uryu fights and claws for freedom. Rex runs him into the corner and throws him for snake eyes but Uryu lands on the ropes and kicks his heel out into Rex’s face, staggering him. Uryu moonsaults off now and covers for a two. Uryu runs the ropes and dives back with a flying knee strike to the side of Rex’s head but the challenger is sent from the ring. Uryu rubs his head but refuses to take the count out.
*Ishida contemplates his next move and goes for a suicide dive but Rex moves and sends him clattering against the ringside barrier as the crowd groan and the commentators are sure Uryu is done, especially given the head trauma already suffered. Rex throws Uryu back in the ring and he drags him up into a “Rainmaker” lariat but somehow, someway Uryu just gets his shoulder up.
*Rex is almost impressed by the champion’s resiliency. He nods his head and goes to the corner. He prepares for the “Lo Down” (Frogsplash) but Ishida is up and nails a step-up enzeguiri (Del Rio style) that drops Rex into a seated position on the ropes. Uryu climbs up and nails a “Spanish Fly” as the crowd go wild and the commentators commend his desire and will. He rolls out on the apron and follows up with a huge springboard forearm smash but Rex shows guts and kicks out.
*Uryu climbs out onto the apron again. He sucks in a deep breath and catapults over with an x-factor facebuster. He staggers to the corner now and the crowd are willing him on. He reaches the top and launches into the “Split Second” but Rex moves at the very last minute. Adamson now lifts Uryu into an electric chair position and drops him on the back of his neck (Croyt’s Wrath). Uryu just kicks out but is clearly in a bad way.
*Rex lowers the straps on his singlet now and it is obvious he can sense his moment. He stalks Uryu and gets him up once more but Uryu fights off the back and pushes Rex into the corner, where he smacks his head into the turnbuckle. Uryu breaths in again and runs the ropes but is popped up into a huge Samoan drop as he comes back. Rex then rips through with a huge “Gore” but Uryu finds the bottom rope with his foot, Rex cannot believe it.
*Rex looks for another “Gore” but Uryu leaps over it and then lands a superkick to the back of Rex’s head as he rises and then drops to a knee. He heads for the corner eventually and is thinking “Split Second” but Rex is up. He runs and shows insane athleticism to leap from the floor to the top rope and launches Uryu off with a huge overhead throw. Rex beats his chest now as he ushers the champion up and scoops him on his shoulders. The “Fire and Thunder” driver is imminent as Jerome Dubois runs through Rex with a “French connection” spear. The referee immediately calls for the bell and nobody can quite believe what has happened.
*There is shock in the air as Uryu is still champion despite the DQ loss. Rex’s attempt at history has been thwarted by Jerome Dubois. Dubois is all smiles and arrogance in the aisleway as he basks in his handiwork. Both Rex and Uryu are down on the canvass and RJ cannot believe just a perfect main event has been ruined. JT believes the issues between Dubois and Rex that started a couple of weeks ago are born from jealousy and probably based in the history between Dubois and Uncle Max. Rex is stumbling now and his temple is twitching as he looks thunderous at what has happened. He readies to give chase as Dubois disappears from view. JT doesn’t believe there is anywhere in the world where Adamson will not pursue Dubois for what he has done tonight.
*Back in the ring and Uryu is barely getting to a knee. The champion is being handed his belt but it is clear he is hurting. He tries to get up but we see Anthony Grace and Robin Reborn coming through the crowd to pick the bones. They reach the barricades but cheers ring out a huge team of security walk to the ring and surround it, blocking Grace and Reborn’s path to the champion. Christy James is out on the stage and she says there’ll be no more attacks under her watch but she does have an official announcement and that is GazzyD/Uryu Ishida vs Anthony Grace/Robin Reborn is official for the main event of Destiny.
*Laughter now fills the air and one of the security guards seems to place a box in the ring. It becomes clear it is the same music box from last week. The lights go out and when they come back on the security team have been replaces by members of Edward Plague’s clan. They stare blankly at Uryu, some from behind masks, and then Plague is there behind the world champ and decimates him once more with the “Omega Driver”. Christy James looks fearful as Plague kneels next to Uryu and cradles his head to end the show.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - September 25th 2023 (Episode 14)
*Before the show goes off air we are taken to a darkened room. There is a table in the middle and a steaming pot is resting on it with two cups and saucers. We see Clarke James walk past and he reaches for the pot. "The plan is in the final stages, soon this entire company will bend the knee.....more tea?". CJ pours a pale green liquid from the pot into the cups. From the shadows we see a hand reach out and take one.
