6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
*We get a recap on last week’s show which includes Cody Walker’s attack on Clarke James, Engel Harlequin abducting Emmy as well as the chaos that ensued during the main event that ended with Uryu crashing down on top of Gazzy from the steel cage.
We are live in the arena now as JT and RJ welcome us to the show. They hype tonight and RJ gives us a rundown on how important ‘Survival’ was when 6WF rose to prominence. They talk about how Clarke James still hasn’t been seen or heard from last week although he is scheduled here this evening.
*Edward Plague appears in the ring, surrounded by his family. He declares Uryu the ‘Hollow Hero’ but says now the world is seeing him for the villain he is. He proclaims that Uryu had a choice last week and he chose to leap from the top of that cage after he realised Gazzy was laying prone underneath him. Plague says it was a test and he cannot deliver more definitive proof to GazzyD that the 6CW Champion wishes to take everything away from him.
Plague promises that he will continue to watch out for Gazzy’s best interests and he will ensure that when the mask finally slips he will be there to support his brother in his hour of need.
RJ and JT both agree that this whole scenario is literally balancing on a knife edge and JT believes something very dark lays just beyond the horizon

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
*Engel Harlequin takes over the screen now and he wants to deliver a very important message to Liam Wood. He shows us a clear tank that he has encased a very distressed and terrified Emmy within. He promises she is being looked after and no harm will become of her but that only applies if Wood adheres to the rules of his ‘game’. Engel wants to make things very clear and that means Wood must abide by tonights match, without the use of excessive violence. Engel says he wants to see Wood control his ‘inner demons’ and if he cannot then perhaps he’ll have to learn a much harsher lesson. Engel says this ‘treatment is for your own good and sometimes a little ‘shock’ is exactly what you need’.
*Scene change and Dicey Reilly has brought all the members of his team together and is giving a speech, handing out t-shirts as he does. Mike Hill merely rolls his eyes whilst Liam Wood just stares at his former rival and storms from the room. Dicey offers them all a drink but then drinks Faiths quickly (remembering his last struggles with alcohol) before he ramps up Rex Adamson. Rex stands up and goes face to face with Dicey. Dicey says he recognises that look, recognises that fire and it’s the same look that took him to the top of 6CW. But it’s also the same look he slapped off the face of Uncle Max when he stepped out of line. Rex smirks and says ‘looking forward to it’ as the scene ends.

Bout 1
Survival Rules
Cameron Faith/Dicey Reilly/Liam Wood/Mike Hill/Rex Adamson vs Blue Dragon/Cassidy/Engel Harlequin/Jerome Dubois/Marty Helms
Survival Rules
Cameron Faith/Dicey Reilly/Liam Wood/Mike Hill/Rex Adamson vs Blue Dragon/Cassidy/Engel Harlequin/Jerome Dubois/Marty Helms
*Miss Jessica is wheeling Jerome Dubois around ringside as he continues to play up his “injuries” and the commentators inform us we are currently looking at a 5 on 4. Liam Wood is clearly itching to rip Engel Harlequin to pieces but we are reminded that Engel has Emmy captive and won’t allow her release until Wood complies with his “game”.
*The first elimination comes early when Mike Hill drops Cassidy with an inverted atomic drop into a spinning heel kick. Jessica distracts the ref as Hill attempts a “lionsault” but Dubois clocks Hill in the head with the cast across his arm. There are multiple complaints but Cassidy follows up with the “Purification” (Judas Effect elbow) for the three count. Rex Adamson is beside himself and wants to attack Dubois but the referee gets involved. Dubois returns to the wheelchair and feigns injury.
*An all out brawl breaks out after Jessica places Cassidy’s foot on the ropes after he takes a “Gore” from Rex. The fight breaks out at ringside and the referee is trying to get things back under control. Cameron Faith tees up for the “superkick” now but takes a punch in the side of the head from Blue Dragon’s “Gauntlet”. Faith is all over the place, scrambling to get his feet under him, as Engel drags him into a crunching “Self Fulfilling Prophecy” for another three count.
*Wood is in now and taking the fight to Engel. He takes him to the outside and beats his head repeatedly off the announce desks. The big screen comes on and we see Emmy in an unknown location, pleading for help. Wood snaps at the grin on Engel’s face and shatters a steel chair across the top of his head, busting him wide open, and causing a DQ. The commentators remark on how we have gone to 5 on 4 to 2 on 4 in a matter of moments.
*Engel is a bloody mess and although he is smiling at what Wood has done, he is unable to answer the referee’s count. Security are sent down to ringside in order to keep Wood from doing any more damage but it is clear he wants nothing more than to end Harlequin. The commentators wonder if Engel will feel less obliged to return Emmy safely after Wood’s actions.
*Cassidy wants to put on a show for Miss Jessica but he is caught in midair by Rex Adamson and launched against the turnbuckle with a fall away slam. Rex nails a “Croyt’s Wrath” (Electric chair into a German suplex) and then he drags Cassidy up into the “Fire/Thunder Driver” which levels both teams up at 2 apiece.
*Marty Helms looks to take Rex out with a punt to the head but misses and Rex explodes with a huge overhead throw. He tags in Dicey as the crowd go wild. The brawl between Dicey and Helms is furious and Helms rams Dicey’s head into an exposed turnbuckle before drilling him with the “lungblower” but Dicey kicks out.
*Helms sets for the “Blade of the Ruined King” (Flying knee to the back of the head) but Dicey dodges and sends his foe sprawling across the mat. Miss Jessica is distracting the ref again as Helms looks to nail Dicey with the nightstick but Rex grabs it and pulls it out of his grasp. Helms looks incensed by Adamson’s actions but barely has time to react as Dicey rolls him up and gains a surprise three count.
*Helms is throwing a fit now. Dicey has just tagged in Rex to go one on one with Blue Dragon when Helms drags Dicey from the ring and slams the nightstick into his gut. He smashes Dicey’s head into the ringpost and then breaks the stick over Dicey’s head, leaving him in a bloody heap on the floor. The referees and more security are on hand now to disperse and break up the situation.
*Blue Dragon sees it as a perfect opportunity to put his “Gauntlet” glove back on. Rex shows no fear and beckons him on but Cameron Faith comes from nowhere and superkicks BD in the jaw. He staggers into Rex, who then nails the “Fire/Thunder Driver” for the three count and the final elimination.
*Rex has his arm raised and looks pleased with a big time victory. Dicey is a busted mess on the outside, despite being a survivor and victor, as Helms barges past security and punt kicks his head against the barrier before being backed away. Jerome Dubois suddenly has a miraculous recovery from his injury and he rolls in the ring and lands a low blow on Rex. He smashes him so hard in the head that the “cast” shatters from across his head. Miss Jessica applauds with a devilish smile as Dubois drags Rex up and drills him with the “Culture Shock” for good measure.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
*Cassidy and Miss Jessica have accosted Clarissa and taken her mic. Jessica is throwing out the challenge to Mike Hill. Jessica is promising Cassidy will retire Hill at Destiny if he is fool enough to accept.
*The side of Rex Adamson’s head is pouring blood as he is tended to in the trainers room. Rex, however, is in a fired up mood and is promising that at Destiny he will destroy Jerome Dubois and he will prove the only man that deserves to have the ‘Key to the Kingdom is him’.
*Trevor Abraham attends a melee backstage that involves Liam Wood. Wood is vowing to ‘kill’ Engel Harlequin. Abraham informs Wood that he has sanctioned a one on one encounter at Destiny but he needs Wood to go home before things get out of hand. This almost sends Wood overboard as he scoffs that Emmy being abducted doesn’t already count as ‘out of hand’. There is a steel pipe on a table to the left of Wood and it genuinely looks as though he is contemplating using the weapon when a hand takes his arm. Thunder is here. Thunder is promising Wood he will help Wood get Emmy back. Wood thinks Thunder wants to keep tabs on him but Thunder says he is here for his friend. Wood says he will do ‘anything’ to save Emmy and end Harlequin. A delivery is made and a lock of Emmy’s hair is inside with a message that it Wood is disqualified at Destiny she will be lost forever.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
*Jack Reynolds interviews an arrogant Daniel Reilly. Reilly completely skirts over last weeks loss to Dicey and when asked about tonight’s #1 Contender’s match he declares that none of the participants are on his level or deserving of a shot. He is asked about last weeks attack on Geoff Steel and he just smirks. Oliver Keane takes over and says Steel’s only moment at the top came when Reilly was embroiled in the fight against the original Genesis, saving 6CW instead of looking out for himself. He says as long as Daniel Reilly is around, Geoff Steel is a non-threat.
*Trevor Abraham wants to give an update on 6CWF and Destiny. He reiterates that he will be running the show in the absence of JJ Johnson and once again says he will not bow down to the pressure of superstars believing they are above the law. Abraham is promising that there will be serious consequences for anyone who steps over the line and that once Destiny is over with he will be making some serious amendments to ‘punishments’ handed out to those who do not follow the rules.
He goes on to confirm a full list of what we can expect at Destiny:
Including Liam Wood vs Engel Harlequin
Rex Adamson vs Jerome Dubois and Cassidy vs Mike Hill.
He also confirms that the ‘Key to the Kingdom’ Championship will return to open competition once the PLE is over and done with.
*Uryu visits Gazzy and Christy. He wants to apologise for last week and dismiss what Plague said about it being on purpose. Gazzy says no apology is needed and they know all know what depths Plague will sink to in order to play his mind games. Gazzy says tonight they have a match and they need to make sure they are on the same page come Destiny because Grace/Reborn have already shown that they are willing to end their careers if they get the chance.
Uryu agrees and says Born in Fire is on the horizon and it is his career dream to headline that event as a world champion so he doesn’t want to take his eye off the ball now. It seems they have settled their differences
*Tyler Roth delivers a very stern and clear message that he accepts Cerberus challenge for a casket match at Destiny and is promising he will ‘bury the monster for good’

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
Bout 2
#1 Contender (European Championship)
Geoff Steel vs James McManus vs O'Callaghan
#1 Contender (European Championship)
Geoff Steel vs James McManus vs O'Callaghan
*A very different blend of styles in this one. Steel looks to be getting back to his best in the early going and catches OC coming in off a springboard with a snap powerbomb. He tries to turn him into the “Steelworks” but McManus nails a brutal lariat from behind. McManus drags Steel up and chucks him from the ring. JM looks for the “knee trembler” but OC catches his leg and kicks out his other. He applies the sharpshooter in the centre.
*McManus is forced to endure nearly two minutes in the hold before Steel rushes back in with a brutal spear on OC for a two count. Steel wants the “Bladecutter” but his legs are swiped. OC looks for another sharpshooter but Steel kicks him backward into the corner. He chases in but OC sidesteps and sends his man against the turnbuckle. He lifts Steel high and nails a back suplex from the top rope. The referee counts but Steel kicks out.
*OC looks for the cobra clutch but Steel rushes into the ropes and ducks his shoulder to send the Irishman over the top. He turns around and McManus kicks him in the gut for the “River Wensum Plunge” but he backs to the ropes and backdrops him over the top onto O’Callaghan as he tries to stand up.
*Steel has big plans, despite fan concern, and he runs the ropes and comes back for a suicide dive but OC and McManus drift apart, sending Steel through the middle and he smashes into the ringside barrier in a heap. McManus and OC trade chops, forearms and punches before McManus rakes the eyes and sends his opponent into the steel steps before throwing him back in the ring.
*McManus climbs high for a crossbody but OC leaps in the air and clatters a kick into his ribs as he comes down. OC follows up with a hat-trick of German suplexes and then he heads to the corner and scores with a 360 splash for a near fall. OC beckons McManus up now and scoops him onto his shoulders for a “GTS” but McManus catches his knee on the way down. He lifts OC into a kneebreaker and follows up with a dragon screw. He looks for a figure four now and expertly applies it in the centre of the ring.
*OC lasts nearly two minutes in the hold before he rolls over into a reversal which McManus is quick to free himself from. They struggle back up and McManus lifts OC for a death valley driver but OC elbows his way free and then he lashes a fierce kick into the small of McManus’ back that sends him sprawling across the middle ropes. OC nails the “619” and springboards back in for a frogsplash. A three count looks possible but Steel dives in from nowhere and breaks the cover.
*Steel and OC brawl it out now and Steel lands a solid headbutt that staggers the Irishman. He looks for an Irish whip but O’Callaghan reverses and sends his opponent to the corner. Steel bursts straight back out for a huge clothesline but OC ducks and nails a snap half nelson suplex. OC grabs Steel’s arms from a kneeling position and pulls him into a sickening knee to the face (ala Young Bucks) for a close two.
*OC beckons Steel up and lifts him into a backbreaker (targeting the body) before he grabs the legs for the sharpshooter. Steel thrashes from side to side and succeeds in throwing OC across the canvass. They scramble back up and Steel dodges a discus elbow before lifting OC into a full nelson but O’Callaghan rolls down the front into a pinning combo for two. They fight up again and OC drives into the injured ribs with a knee before he nails a falcon arrow for a two.
*OC wants the cobra clutch slam but Steel swings out of it and lands a kick to the stomach. He lifts OC into a pumphandle slam and then heads to the corner. The crowd go wild as he nails a huge flying headbutt. He hooks the leg and the referee’s count gets to two before McManus runs in with a “knee trembler” to the skull. He drags Steel up and nails a death valley driver but Steel kicks out.
*McManus signals for a tombstone but Steel fights off the back and shoves him into OC, knocking him into the corner. Steel looks for the “Bladecutter” but McManus swipes his legs and catapults him into the opposite corner. He beckons Steel around and looks for the “River Wensum Plunge” before nailing it. A three count is on the cards but OC breaks it up just in time. OC beckons McManus up and dodges a forearm and attempts the cobra clutch. McManus sways from side to side, trying to free himself, but is starting to fade. McManus drops to a knee and tries to roll free but OC rolls with him and seems to have his man. McManus, however, shows great spirt to get back to his feet as Steel is back up and charges into both with a spear.
*OC staggers back up and Steel drags him into the “Bladecutter” as the crowd go wild. Before the referee can count, however, Daniel Reilly storms the ring on the attack. He slams the European Championship into the head of Steel, laying him out, and then nails McManus with an RKO. O’Callaghan tries to rise but he takes another shot in the head with the title belt before Geoff Steel eats another RKO. Reilly is left standing tall as the crowd boo furiously and the commentators debate on what this means for the European Championship at Destiny.

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
*Cody Walker is here and he is still projecting the very aggressive energy from last week despite being banged up. He says he and his father haven’t ever been close but family is family and Clarke James took a shot at the whole Walker family last week, something he will not overlook. He says what he did last week is but a modicum of the risks he is willing to take in order to finish Clarke James and his reign of tyranny for good.
*Trevor Abraham interrupts Daniel Reilly and Oliver Keane (who are laughing at their actions) and he wants Reilly to understand the error of his ways because now he will defend the European Championship against Steel, McManus and O’Callaghan at Destiny in a fatal four way match.
*We get an interview by Tim Allen with both Eddy Kent and Scott Harris to hype their huge Iron Man match at Destiny. Kent once again reiterated that Harris will never be able to beat him. Harris promises he will give every ounce of his being, sweat, blood and tears to ensure he becomes 6WF World Heavyweight Champion. Allen believes this could be one of the greatest world championship matches in the history of 6CW and 6WF. They go face to face as Kent raises the championship.
*Grace and Reborn are glaring at each other in the back. Reborn is trying to explain to Grace that he was always controlled by Charles Kramer and the sooner he is dead and buried, the better. It is clear Grace is half-cut at this point as Reborn continues that they’re cut from the same cloth and want the same things; which is to show 6CWF management that they deserve respect. Grace’s phone keeps buzzing but he looks at it and ignores the call. Reborn continues that they need to work together to force hands and get what ‘I…We deserve’. Reborn makes a couple of more faux pas that indicate he is looking out for his own interests and wants Grace’s full cooperation.
Grace says Reborn needs to understand he answers to nobody. He’s Anthony Grace. He’s bigger than anyone in this industry and he calls his own shots. His phone buzzes again and Reborn snatches it and throws it in the bin. Grace looks at him but then smirks and says ‘I’ll see you out there’. Reborn doesn’t look happy with the fact Grace isn’t falling in line. The camera zooms in on the phone on top the bin as it reads ‘Hospital’.
*Christy James is happy to see Gazzy/Uryu on the same page as they head out toward ringside. She feels a twinge in her stomach and looks uncomfortable. She sits down and stifles a scream as Edward Plague is sitting in the room with her.
Plague promises that he will watch over her child just as he watches over Gazzy and he will not allow Uryu’s evil to poison and corrupt. Christy silently has tears running down her cheeks as Plague says he cannot wait for a new member of his family to be born. He says ‘She will be our queen one day’ and kneels down next to Christy’s stomach to sing ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’

Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Monday 16th October 2023 (Episode 16)
Main Event
Cody Walker/GazzyD/Scott Harris/Tyler Roth/Uryu Ishida vs Anthony Grace/Cerberus/Clarke James/Eddy Kent/Robin Reborn
Cody Walker/GazzyD/Scott Harris/Tyler Roth/Uryu Ishida vs Anthony Grace/Cerberus/Clarke James/Eddy Kent/Robin Reborn
*Clarke James still isn’t present as we get set for the main event of the evening. The crowd are absolutely raucous as the competitors begin to make their entrances.
*We are barely five minutes into the contest when Tyler Roth and Cerberus begin to fight all around ringside. Roth throws the steel steps at Cerberus but he ducks and they hit the ring post. Cerberus tries for a chokeslam through an announce desk but Roth fights him off. They brawl up the ramp and Cerberus succeeds in chokeslamming Roth on the solid stage. He disappears backstage and reappears with a casket. He begins to pull Roth up but ‘The Reaper’ drives him back into the steel entrance structure repeatedly until he collapses. He pulls the lid of the coffin open but Cara is laying inside and spits a red liquid in Roth’s eyes. Cerberus slams Roth inside the casket and then shocks everyone as he launches it off the side of the stage. The casket shatters on impact and leaves Roth in a battered heap on the solid floor as Cerberus and Cara stare down at him.
*Cody Walker is putting on a show and wowing the audience despite his injuries. He takes the fight to Eddy Kent and comes close off a springboard inverted DDT. Walker goes high for his patented ‘Howling Moon’ (Flying Famea55er) but jumps straight into a ‘Genesis Kick’ for another elimination.
*The next elimination causes more issues as Anthony Grace’s attempt at the ‘Blockbuster’ tornado kick is ducked by Scott Harris and takes out Robin Reborn. Harris then nails the ‘Shot in the Dark’ on Grace which dumps him over the top rope and he lands on top of Reborn’s encourage. They are shoving at ringside as Harris drills Reborn with a codebreaker and pins him.
*GazzyD and Eddy Kent are fighting now and Gazzy is turning back the clock. He goes close with a springboard 450 and then a ‘starship pain’. He sets up for ‘Deep Impact’ but Kent backdrops out of it. Kent looks for the ‘Genesis Kick’ but Gazzy avoids and nails a skull crushing finale. Uryu springboards in for the flying forearm but Kent avoids and Gazzy takes the full brunt. Anthony Grace bundles Uryu from the ring and nails the ‘Thunderstruck’ on Gazzy for the elimination.
Gazzy rolls from the ring and is staring, dumbfounded, at an apologetic Uryu Ishida.
*Eddy Kent and Scott Harris now give us a ten minute preview of what we can expect at Destiny. They wow the audience with world class mat and chain wrestling. Harris thinks he has it with a top rope belly to belly but Kent kicks out. Harris looks for the ‘Shot in the dark’ but it’s countered into the ‘Kentlock’. Harris only just survives.
Harris’ attempt at the codebreaker is countered as Kent drops him down and then rolls over him, scooping him back up in a fireman’s lift and leaps off the second rope for a two. Kent’s ‘Genesis Kick’ is countered into the sharpshooter but he once again manages to survive. Kent gets a two count with the ‘Mic Check’. And then goes high for the ‘Kent Bomb’. Harris runs up the ropes again and slams a forearm to the face. Harris stuns everyone as he steps out onto the outside of the ropes and he pulls Kent off the top into a ‘Shot in the Dark’ (Olympic slam) that thunders both men through one of the announce desks. There’s no way either can answer the ten count and they are eliminated. The crowd are going wild but the commentators aren’t sure that was wise from Harris so close to Destiny. JT reminds us that if Harris pulls that in the ‘Iron Man’ then his chances at being champion may just disappear. RJ believes Harris is showing his desperation to prove he can beat Kent.
*Uryu and Anthony Grace are left as the only members on each team. Uryu gets a two count with a springboard forearm smash and a top rope Spanish Fly as the crowd get behind him. He sets for the ‘Split Second’ but eats knees on the landing. Grace nails the ‘Blockbuster’ but Ishida somehow kicks out.
Grace looks annoyed now and wants the ‘Thunderstruck’ but Uryu leans out and sends him crashing to the mat. He grabs Grace’s arm and rolls him into ‘Sunset’ for a Fujiwara armbar but Grace somehow finds the ropes.
Uryu heads for the apron and he springboards back in for an x-factor facebuster but Grace counters into a spine buster. Grace heads high for the ‘Fall from Grace’ moonsault but misses.
Both are slow to rise and here comes Reborn with his custom-made knucks. He swings at Uryu but misses and comes up short before he hits Grace. They stare at one another and then round on Uryu. The champion looks in trouble but here is Gazzy and he wipes out Reborn with ‘Deep Impact’. Grace bends to pick up the knucks but Ishida lashes a heavy calf kick, dropping him to one knee and then super kicks him in the back of the head. He nails ‘Split Second’ and this one is done.
*The match is seemingly over but there is utter chaos ensuring at ringside. ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’ is playing through the sound system and Uryu turns to see the all too familiar music box on the canvass. He quickly turns expecting Edward Plague but Clarke James (in his scarecrow mask) is here and he ploughs Uryu with the ‘Faithless’ for the three count and to ensure he is the sole survivor.
Gazzy is perplexed on the outside and he too is looking for any sign of Plague when he eats a vicious con-chair-to from Grace and Reborn. We can hear Reborn yelling at Grace ‘This is why I lead, because (beep) gets done’…Grace looks less than impressed but he helps Reborn drag Gazzy into the ring and he dumps on top of Uryu. They both stare at Clarke James (face still hidden by his mask) and then choose to leave.
Cody Walker suddenly reappears at ringside and he sprints down to confront CJ but he is tackled by a group of ‘The Fallen’. They hold him back and one of them is wearing a ‘Fallen Alex Walker’ mask which seems to freak Cody out. They finally throw him into the ring and he tries to get up but CJ nails him with ‘Faithless’. CJ produces his ‘railroad spike’ now and it seems he is readying to cause serious harm but instead he points the weapon toward the entranceway.
The crowd are stunned now as another group of ‘The Fallen’ drag a battered and bloodied Trevor Abraham to ringside. Abraham is defiant to the last but also eats a ‘Faithless’ before CJ kneels over him and savours the moment before he stabs Abraham in the forehead with the spike. Blood is everywhere and seems to be the cue that the rest of ‘The Fallen’ were waiting for as they destroy the entire ringside area. Fans are screaming and heading for exits as security do their best to get in front of them. More members of ‘The Fallen’ are appearing in the crowd now and at various exits. They are attacking the Spanish and Japanese commentators before we see Henry and Harold Lloyd being brutalised at ringside. Michael Bird is triple powerbombed on the exposed concrete as we see the ring canvass and aprons being ripped to shreds. The ring is dismantled as Clarke James continues to stand tall, watching the madness ensue.
We see JT and RJ trying to leave the announce booth up on the stage as they are attacked as well and left in a brutal heap. RJ has twenty separate steel chairs slammed down on top of him whilst JT is crushed underneath the announce table itself.
The show ends with the screams and terror amongst the audience with ‘Fallen’ members continuing to cause chaos and havoc whilst Clarke James watches from inside of the ring.
