The call to bring Sabrina Carpenter in for the opening salvo was a last minute decision. Apparently Brandi Johnson made the personal invitation and Carpenter was more than happy to appear on the show. It shouldn't be underestimated the sway that JJ & Brandi have when it comes to "star power". Amazon are keen to have "celebrity endorsement" when it can be facilitated and this alone will do huge social media numbers.

Freshers Ball as the opener was also a big call but 6CWF believe the "New Era" deserve the spotlight and they will put on a great show. We have reported before that although the company would love to have 7 new stars on their hands they will be more than satisfied if 2-3 of the new regime make the cut.

Tony Monk walking last was due to the belief (correctly so) that the fans are right behind him. 6CWF took a gamble on the Monk signing and it is certainly paying dividends for them. Angus Plague, Marty Helms, Hugo Browning, Killbane and Diego Romero are set to be the main focus of the contest because the company believes each of them, particularly Plague & Helms, can ram-raid the main event scene by the end of 2025/

The decision making process for the "Freshers Ball" is as follows:

The Villain - The company is unlikely to take up the option of a contract extension. Tony Monk getting some kind of revenge on him was an attempt to draw a line underneath their brief feud so that he can move into something different following the PPV.

Tony Monk - His stock went up and up. The crowd love him and that equals money for the company. Is he going to be a major star? Never say never, the fans would be right behind any kind of title tilt but the main focus for Monk is the "extreme" content that he brings to the table. Expect Monk to be involved in something "fun" going forward.

Hugo Browning - The company has hope. They are coy on the storyline he will be involved in but they certainly made sure to highlight a potential feud with Marty Helms. This could easily tie in with the growing animosity between Damien Andrews & Max Adamson which is a storyline that will develop in the coming weeks/months.

Diego Romero - Arguably the star of the show and exactly the reason he was signed by 6CWF. Romero is one of a kind in terms of "highlight reel" ability but was never in the conversation to win this match. Two factors for that are that the company still wants to see more from him but also the feud with Killbane is their main priority. Expect that to reach a head at the "World's End" PPV.

Killbane - As above. The company is very much happy with what they see and they know Killbane can be a star. However their main focus is the payoff for the feud with Romero and then they will reassess their options.

Marty Helms - There was huge support for Helms to win this match and it was a close call but the company felt it didn't suit the storyline they have in play. Helms is after "redemption" and looking to rebuild himself so handing him a title shot within a month seemed counterproductive. Also as explained a feud with Hugo Browning has been talked about and 6CWF really want Helms involved in the Max-Andrews story.

Angus Plague - 6CWF believes they have gold in their hands with Angus Plague. Aligning him with Revolution was the first big call, beating Dicey & Steel was the second call and now the icing on the cake is giving him the Freshers Ball. The company believe Plague can go "all the way" and that was the reason behind yet another dominant display.

6CWF has decided to host The Saint's "Hall of Fame" ceremony at Proving Grounds following Born in Fire. No comment has been made on this decision but it is likely for storyline purposes as well as wanting Saint to have his "moment".

The Brothers of Seduction are one of the most popular acts in 6CWF, not only with fans but backstage. The idea that the team can combine comedy with great wrestling has really sent their stock skyward in recent months.

There were some who felt bringing Percival and Perez back was a mistake but JJ Johnson was adamant that they had been under utilised in previous runs and that the company needed to work harder in their portrayal. That has certainly been the case since their return and it has been a major success.

Don't expect them to go anywhere in a hurry.

As for the MVPs - 6CWF just isn't convinced they are clicking as a unit. Both stars have fans in management and Masters is said to be delivering some of his best work but as a team they aren't getting over and that is being readily assessed. Expect some movement on this going forward

It is clear that 6CWF is building the foundations of a story between Max Adamson/Damien Andrews, as we have already reported. Marty Helms is expected to figure heavily in that going forward which is why he appeared with Max in a segment earlier tonight. Will that feed into a continuation of what we have already seen between Patricks-Uryu? We don't yet know but expect this one to gain momentum into 2025 and certainly some kind of payoff for either Day of Reckoning or even Night of Glory X.

The Uryu-Clarissa "romance" is what JJ Johnson refers to as a "side quest". We have seen more and more of these kinds of stories over the last year or so as 6CWF builds multi-layered storylines. These are never meant to draw attention away from the rivalries but enhance the storytelling as we get to "know" the characters and build our attachment to them.

6CWF believes they stumbled upon gold with the Patricks-Uryu storyline. The two men are "major players" in the company after this and they received a standing ovation in the back when they returned. Many believe this one will be hard to top.

It was a real "50-50" decision on a winner but given where the storyline is heading and what is just around the corner; Patricks winning was seen as necessary to get them to where they need to be.

Pay attention to the interaction between Max-Uryu before the match as a hint that this is not yet done.

There is some concern in Gorilla after the GazzyD spot. He wasn't meant to hit the ringside barrier. The feeling right now is whatever injury has been suffered is legit and the question now is how to adapt the match "on the fly".

EWF Global Talking Points:

*Gazzy is a warrior. He was adamant he was finishing the match despite the injury he suffered. The early prognosis is he's hurt pretty bad and will need some time on the sidelines. This implicated upon the ending of the bout as we were expecting the re-emergence of Edward Plague but 6CWF doesn't want that if Gazzy isn't fit. Decisions will be made in coming days once more is known on Gazzy's injury.

*Steel & Dicey was a rollercoaster of emotions. There was potential for either man winning the title but in the end it was decided against. There's no point in hiding from the fact that this is building into something huge and 6CWF has major hopes for what will be one of the "matches of 2025".

*Daniel Reilly & EWF Championship - We have no idea! 6CWF is playing their cards very close to their chest on this one. On one hand there is no way they'd let a talent leave the company as a world champion (it makes no sense) but there has been no update on his contract situation. 6CWF love Reilly and think he is one of their main assets, his work has been exemplary, but last we heard they were way off in their negotiations. Is it likely a work? You would imagine so but we have no details on what the plan here is; it is certainly different to what has been done before.

*Mike Masters. It was inevitable, right? Masters and Reilly have both referenced one another in recent months during promos and this was supposed to be an Easter egg as to what was coming. We don't know if it was supposed to be tonight or whether the company rushed it through due to the Gazzy injury but it translated really well on screen. Masters is a perfect fit for Revolution.

If Reilly is leaving (storyline or not) then Masters joining adds more weight to the stable. As of right now we know that Revolution as a whole is scheduled for something big at the "World's End" PPV so getting Masters involved now will certainly help the build to that.

6CWF wanted a "classic" from Perfect Jack and Scott Harris and that is exactly what they got. The crowd was massively invested throughout and the huge hometown victory was seen as "deserved" for Harris' dedication over the last decade.

Is the feud done? Unlikely given how well it was received and the gel between the two superstars.

Jack "dropping the ball" for Revolution may also play into future storylines but that remains to be seen.

6CWF sees both men as "torch carriers" when it comes to putting on a show so it is unlikely either of them will slip down the card going forward. Expect big storylines for both, whether against one another or not, in 2025.

Donald Trump attending Born in Fire XII is huge for the company and yet another sign of JJ Johnson's influence. Trump attending UFC is expected due to his close relationship with Dana White but the fact JJ has convinced him to ringwalk with him tonight was music to the ears of Amazon officials.

This feud between JJ-Acer-Saint is one of 6CWF's main priorities for tonight and going forward. They believe they have "money in the bank" given the fan engagement and investment.

We have already reported that Acer is seen as a "top star" and the company wants to ensure he gets that position organically which is why they have rearranged the storyline in this way.

Saint and JJ's "heel turn" was unexpected by many but has been extremely well received. Saint is a natural in the role, many believe this is where he does his best work, and JJ is now finding his feet. Having JJ as the "antagonist" was a major gamble for the company but he was insistent on it, believing that it needed to happen before his impending retirement.

The fan backlash following the TAW Title was expected.

Everyone came to see Acer win but it was imperative the company got the JJ Johnson heel turn over and they certainly managed it....the backstage feeling is they surpassed Hogan in 96.

Acer is one of "the guys" in terms of star power in 6CWF and the company is ensuring he is catapulted to the moon off the back of this story but again it was essential he fell at the first attempt in order to progress one of the company's biggest storylines.

We have talked before about 6CWF wanting JJ as a world champion and it will no doubt do huge numbers. 6CWF knew it was a gamble having this happen at Born in Fire in front of Acer's fans but it was always meant to be this way. The end game has always been the same and that is to position Acer at the forefront of programming. Working with JJ Johnson & The Saint will achieve that goal, no doubt.

In terms of JJ & The Saint - expect the heel turn to ramp up from here. The abuse of power storyline will progress very quickly.

The Liam Wood-Thunder match delivered on exactly what 6CWF wanted - storyline progression. They gave the audience enough to know this is world class wrestling but it was a more of a whet the appetite. Some may see that as a strange decision on a big occasion like Born in Fire but the company did not want this bout lost in the shuffle of so many gigantic matchups.

There is much more to come on this and expect the storyline to get deeper and more compelling. We have touched on before that isn't expected to just headline on consecutive PPVs but 6CWF will return to it time and again. This is seen as a "focal point" as we head into 2025.
