Wow @EddyKent you sure know how to sell a match. This is why you're the worst drawing World Champ of all time. Can't even hype a Night of Glory Main Event properly.

@WrestlingInsider

We have been informed that 6CWF has designed a new match concept which will debut at the Scars & Stripes PPV on 14th July in Arlington, Texas. No concrete reports or details as of yet but we hear it is created to test the endurance of the athletes involved and really add entertainment value to an already marquee attraction.

@6CWF

6CWF IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RETURN OF THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!

More details will be released at "Night of Glory IX" and the shows beyond but VIP Promotions have taken the decision to reinstate one of the most prestigious championships.

The tag titles have helped to propel so many careers over the years including GazzyD, Max Adamson, Robin Reborn and many others. Can the revitalised division help to elevate a new star into the big time? Or perhaps create the opportunity for the veterans of the game to recapture former glories?

This exciting announcement will no doubt get fans and superstars alike buzzing with anticipation.

Will new teams emerge? Will brand new alliances be struck in the quest for gold? Perhaps former stars are waiting in the wings to return and stake their claim?

Stay tuned for more news as we continue the historic build to Night of Glory IX

@WrestlingInsider

We are privileged to be backstage at Night of Glory IX and we will keep you all updated on anything we see throughout the event. Rex Adamson has arrived with the rest of Genesis and we just heard Rex inform his cohorts that he wants to "go it alone" in regards to his match with Liam Wood. Interesting development ahead of the gigantic show opener.

Liam Wood & Emmy have been at Hampden Park for the best part of three hours. Wood did some media duties but seems incredibly focused on the "Fight for the Right" finale.

Fans are still making their way inside the stadium but kick off time is fast approaching and the atmosphere is unbelievable.

Eddy Kent, Tyler Roth and Michael Sweetwater have returned to the Genesis Express Tour Bus. It seems that they have accepted Rex's request to allow him to fight Liam Wood alone.

Emmy is sat in Gorilla and looks nervous.

Geoff Steel has just got here and he was mobbed by fans waiting at the food stalls. Steel and Marty Helms are currently tied at the bookies as favourites for the Xtreme Championship match. Plenty of money has gone on Uryu as well but there has been a late surge on Ojore. Watch this space.

Explosive scenes here backstage at Night of Glory IX

There was a standing ovation in Gorilla following the mesmerising opening bout with one observer calling it "Match of the decade". Liam Wood then arrived and was consoled by Emmy. Wood then got into a confrontation with Eddy Kent and the two men had to be separated. Wood left Gorilla soon after.

Rex Adamson followed with his newly won briefcase but there were words then exchanged between Rex & Kent, Sweetwater and Roth after his request for no interference had been ignored. It seems Rex apportions that blame on Kent. Kent tried to smooth things over and get Adamson back on the Genesis Express but Rex refused and was seen heading toward the changing rooms. Kent & the rest of Genesis have returned to the bus. It is unknown if they will be staying for the duration of today's show.

@WrestlingInsider

The Coalition have arrived together at Hampden Park just moments ago. All three took plenty of time to speak with the media ahead of what is a crucial bout in terms of the future for 6CWF. Whilst JJ Johnson and The Saint had their usual "big time" aura it was actually Acer who was stealing the show and seemed to be taking centre stage. Media personnel couldn't get enough soundbites from a very ramped up Acer.

As of right now Clarke James has been nowhere to be seen. Perfect Jack & Lex Hart arrived half an hour ago but refused to talk with the press.

All attention has now turned to the "Return of Xtreme". The crowd in attendance have been treated to a huge VT to document the history of one of 6CW's most prestigious divisions. Huge pops for clips involving the Keith Leone-Dicey Reilly feud of 2011 and literally anything that contained Cerberus. The Hampden crowd is also extremely pro-Geoff Steel so see how that manifests itself during the upcoming match.

There is also a clip of a new movie starring Anthony Grace. We have no word on what that means for his schedule moving forward but again we will provide updates as and when we have them.

The talent are now getting ready for the Xtreme Championship bout. Uryu Ishida has been come down off the roof (Not sure how he got up there?) and Marty Helms has had to be kept away from anyone and everyone due to his extremely volatile nature.

Eddy Kent, Michael Sweetwater and Tyler Roth have now left Hampden Park but Rex Adamson did not travel with them. It is believed Rex is still somewhere inside the stadium. It is worth noting that majority of 6CWF talent, including those not scheduled to compete tonight, are currently here at Hampden.

Notes coming out of the barbaric Xtreme match; Anthony Grace has been taken to a nearby medical facility after suffering burns from the table spot with Ojore. The "Ugandan Nightmare" however walked out of his own accord and refused to be treated despite suffering several serious wounds. The medical bay that has been set up at the stadium is currently filled with 6CWF talent. Mike Hill did not look in great shape whatsoever. Uryu Ishida was banged up (he has been dealing with a few injuries already) but he remained in good spirits when asked to pose for pictures with some fans.

Marty Helms and Geoff Steel had a face-off backstage following the conclusion of the match. Steel was, naturally, enjoying his big moment but it seemed like Helms wanted him fully aware that he intends to pursue a match in the future for the title.

@WrestlingInsider

A quick note on the "???" facing Jerome Dubois later tonight. Whilst many fans have deliberated on a Cassius Zhi or Hero return we are led to believe this will not be the case. 6CWF officials have something very different planned and it is said to be a more "fun" themed event. It is worth noting that 6CWF wanted to honour some of its past stars during this historic weekend so that may very well play a part in what is to come.

Oliver Keane and Daniel Reilly have been interviewed by Clarissa backstage and there is plenty of confidence from the defending European Champion. Reilly has now surpassed River Ace's record and has become the longest reigning Euro belt holder in history. Dicey Reilly arrived about an hour ago and he was in great spirits despite the intense and personal nature of the feud he has been embroiled in. Security has been increased, however, and the dressing rooms of both competitors were situated at opposite ends of the stadium.

@WrestlingInsider

Geoff Steel was been locked in for the Xtreme Championship since the return of the division was announced. 6CWF officials see Steel as "top tier" and we have previously reported that it was extremely touch and go for him to win the "Gateway to Glory" back in March. The return of Marty Helms, whilst seen a huge deal for the company, was never likely to change anyone's mind in who was leaving with the belt.

Ojore's work in the last few weeks certainly caught attention and Uryu Ishida continues to be a favourable figure in future plans but Steel has about as much support backstage as the "elite" levels stars such as Dicey Reilly, Max Adamson and GazzyD.

@WrestlingInsider

It was a "carnival" like atmosphere when Dicey Reilly returned backstage as the brand new European Champion. No surprise Dicey is one the most popular figures in the locker-room and the level of performance he produced is defying belief given his age and history of injuries. No word yet as the direction he will head or future opposition but there was definitely eyes on the new champion from plenty of observers.

The decision to put the belt on Dicey was made last night and was a real point of contention for 6CWF officials. Daniel Reilly has received rave reviews in the last six months and there is no doubt he is producing the best form of his career but his contract situation (set to expire after Beachfront Brawl in September) could very well have been a major factor in the process to take the belt off him. It will be interesting to see how this one develops.

Reilly received major applause when he returned backstage but he headed straight for the changing rooms. He and Oliver Keane are still here but they certainly aren't involved in the celebrations that are currently taking place.

The Hampden Park crowd are still singing "Like a prayer" and Percy Percival has been out there for five minutes after the match finished. if 6CWF hasn't signed him yet I would pretty much guarantee it. The atmosphere, if possible, has gone up another level after what they have just watched. It wasn't what was expected or maybe even "wanted" but it delivered on every single aspect. Crowd reactions for the "legends" was spectacular to witness in person.

There was also a Coalition-Dominion square off backstage which was incredibly cool. Very possible they were just shooting footage for the video game but given JJ Johnson and Median's history, a one off match at some point would be a huge selling point.

Rumours that Jerome Dubois may be "finishing up" with the company but nothing is confirmed as of right now. Dubois is still seen as a big asset to the company but it is dependent on his own feelings heading forward.

@WrestlingInsider

Some footage from backstage is being fed to the live crowd and we just saw a stand-off between Rex and Max Adamson. There were no words exchanged between nephew and Uncle but given Rex's big win earlier, the gravitas of tomorrow night and the fact Rex/Genesis are at loggerheads have certainly got people talking. Also worth noting that Rex Adamson is extremely popular with the live audience, something I am sure 6CWF management will be taking note of.

Clarke James still isn't here, nobody has seen him, but Perfect Jack & Lex Hart are already in Gorilla and raring to go.

The Coalition are still in their locker-rooms but they were shown on the big screens earlier and the audience' reaction was probably the biggest of the night. JJ Johnson seems incredibly focused but Acer and Saint were more than happy to play up for the cameras.

It is worth noting that this is seen as a "top five" match in terms of levels of importance in the company's history. Every precaution and detail has been afforded in order to present it as such.

@WrestlingInsider

It is safe to say there was a joyous atmosphere backstage following the culmination of "Night One". JJ Johnson said from day one it was imperative to create a family feeling and that was clear to see after nearly ever single member of 6CWF personnel was involved in the main event.

6CWF officials are already raving about the success and are expecting tomorrow night to, potentially, top what we saw today. Early signs are that all records have been shattered in terms of buyrates, merchandise and gate sales. Amazon Prime have already been in contact to discuss extensions of the rights contract they currently have in place.

There was also a segment shot for 6CWF backstage involving JJ Johnson, Acer and The Saint. The three "brothers" were clearly emotional and praising one another. Acer then told his friends that "my own journey starts now" and it seems JJ & Saint gave their blessing on that. Acer seems set for a singles run going forward whilst we have no concrete word on what the plans are for JJ/Saint at this time.

Another couple of notes on the main event in regards to contract statuses; it is unknown if Clarke James has re-signed (due for expiry at the end of this month) and whether Lex Hart (a rolling pay as you appear contract) will be finishing up following tonight’s match.

The agents who put together the match were told to ensure Perfect Jack was made to look strong in defeat as they have hopes he will continue with the company into the summer months and beyond.

@WrestlingInsider

It is yet another sell-out show for "Night Two" of Night of Glory. The majority of 6CWF talent is back at Hampden Park again and the morale is sky high.

Enforcer arrived earlier this afternoon and he was joined by Hobo and former 6WF Hardcore Champion, Phoenix Rose. They were in great spirits and happy to pose for pictures and interact with the fans who got here early. There was a clip playing of Anthony Grace's encounter with Ojore and Enforcer found it difficult to suppress a smile knowing that Grace was rattled by a sign bearing his name. A media member asked Enforcer about a potential future clash but it is all eyes on Robin Reborn tonight and no talk of who he may face during the new season of 6CWF.

Robin Reborn has been creating issues (big surprise) since he and his entourage arrived. Reborn has been making lavish demands and was told he wouldn't be getting everything he had asked for. Reborn brought up his "Amazon" contract but 6CWF officials have directed him to JJ Johnson if he wished to take this further. Watch space on that because there are a few people expecting this to blow up at some point this evening.

The crowd filing into the stadium have been greeted to a recap package for yesterday's action. Naturally the main event ending got huge cheers but it is worth noting that Geoff Steel winning the Xtreme Championship got the loudest pop. We ran a poll on our website following "Night One" as well to ask subscribers for their "Star of the night" and Steel got 22% of the vote which just pipped him over the line from Acer (19%) and Rex Adamson (18%).

We know 6CWF officials will be meeting after tonight's show to discuss future directions and they may be interested to note the superstars who are getting rave reviews from the paying customers.

@Uryu Ishida: @wrestlingInsider Reborn should reread his contract. He may get dropped into The Amazon if he keeps his antics up.

Robin Reborn has just slapped JJ Johnson backstage!!!

Literal moments after the opening bout with Enforcer, Reborn marched into Gorilla and was shouting his mouth off at staff. He brought one female agent close to tears and that is when JJ got involved. JJ was trying to calm proceedings but Reborn was shouting about "disrespect" before he laid hands on JJ. Johnson was ready to respond but by this time agents and talent had gotten involved. Acer and Saint were seen dragging JJ away whilst Chris Patricks and Max Adamson were the ones ensuring Reborn was kept on a leash.

This has been bubbling for some time so it shouldn't come as a great surprise to anyone. It will just be interesting to see if this develops in disciplinary form or whether JJ chooses to take more physical action. Safe to say the "party" atmosphere from last night receded slightly following this incident.

Separate note on Enforcer; He was given a standing ovation on return from ringside and JJ Johnson was on hand for a hug. Enforcer has been praised by all since he has returned and 6CWF would certainly like to see him in top positions moving forward for the new season.

Gazzy, Christy and Willow have been at the building since start of play today. Willow is obviously the apple of everyone's eye and she seems to have given new life to both Christy and Gazzy. Gazzy did just get the call to get ready for "Hell in a Cell" and the mood has taken a bit of a dive. It is clear Christy doesn't want her husband to go through with the match and Gazzy seems to be experiencing doubts. Gazzy has talked about being "indebted" to Plague previously so it seems he is still having pangs of conscience.

We know Edward Plague is here in the arena but nobody has gotten close.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade arrived about an hour ago and they were ready to fight there and then. 6CWF officials are extremely high on the "brothers" so regardless of tonight's result expect them to be heavily featured in the new season of 6CWF.

That being all four men involved tonight are listed as "Main Event" when it comes to an internal ranking system.

The most surreal moment following the hell in a cell match as a team of Plague's "followers" carried him from the ring to backstage and placed him inside an unmarked van before driving away. Plague was not tended to by medical professions on site.

GazzyD is being treated in the medical bay and has been with Christy and Willow ever since. Christy was overheard telling her husband "We need to go far away from here". Gazzy looks like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade practically bandaged themselves up. The decision to give them the victory tonight was a made a few weeks ago. Whilst officials are high on both Plague & Gazzy it was seen as imperative that Dragon & Kincade were portrayed as ultra strong heading into the new season for 6CWF.

No concrete plans have been leaked at this point but expect this feud, in some guise, to continue beyond tonight.

JJ Johnson just met with Max Adamson and the two hugged before Johnson thanked Max for coming to 6CWF's aid last night. Max has had plenty of visitors today as he prepares for tonight's main event. Xanthi Rose and Marlon have been here with Max since he arrived. Max seems calm and even spoke with media and did a couple of "Make a wish" appointments. Chris Patricks arrived at Hampden Park just a few moments ago and was given a great ovation. Patricks' changing room is situated just down the hall from Max but as of yet the two friends have not interacted.

Genesis have pulled up outside Hampden Park. We know Eddy Kent, Michael Sweetwater and Tyler Roth are onboard the bus but Rex Adamson's whereabouts are currently unknown. How that manifests itself in the build up to the colossal main event remains to be seen.

It is clear as we get closer to the big fight that staff and talent are getting nervous. Max is incredibly popular backstage and there is nobody who wants to see him retired at the hands of Eddy Kent.

@WrestlingInsider

Scott Harris is just finishing his media duties and did an interview for 6CWF backstage with Jack Reynolds. Harris is hyped for a big showing here at Night of Glory IX. We broke the news last year about officials really deliberating on pulling the trigger on Harris' when they decided to go with Eddy Kent as world champion instead. If Harris picks up a W tonight then expect that conversation to gain plenty of traction once more.

That being said 6CWF could not be happier with the return of Mike Masters. Bringing in anyone from the past is always a gamble but Masters has slotted seamlessly back into the flow. He is said to be fantastic to work with from all levels and someone who 6CWF will look to push in the new season should he choose to stick around.

@WrestlingInsider

As per the above tweet and now that Harris has picked up the W expect to see him contesting championship bouts in the new season of 6CWF. He has been seen as "one big win away" from skyrocketing and the performance with Masters has done him a great service.

Mike Masters is seen as someone who can "elevate anyone" and 6CWF are keen to utilise him in the future for exactly that. Masters oozes class in a "HBK" style and officials are aware that nobody looks bad after a program with Masters.

Rex Adamson & Eddy Kent just stared down outside Hampden Park and it was shown on the big screens inside the stadium. What began as pleasant soon became very heated when Kent voiced his dismay that Rex did not cash in his FFTR briefcase after hell in a cell. Kent is definitely twitchy ahead of the main event and seemed to be under the impression Rex would be targeting the end of that match to finally get his hands on a world title. The fact he didn't cash in has only created more animosity following on from last night's debacle.

@WrestlingInsider

Chris Patricks visiting Max Adamson was shown on the big screens to the live crowd, both were afforded a deafening pop. It was hard to hear everything said but Adamson wanted Patricks to promise he would do everything to win tonight and CP agreed to those terms. Max said if he "can't even beat Chris Patricks" then he should retire. The attempt at humour did not mask the feeling of intensity and emotion that has now filled the backstage area. Max and Patricks hugged it out to end the meeting. Chris Patricks definitely looks like a man with a lot on his mind.

Patricks has been somewhat of a "revelation" for 6CWF officials since he re-signed with the company. He was brought in as a one-off for the "War Games" feud but excelled about what was expected and quickly tied down to something long term. The fact he is headlining Night of Glory so soon after proves the level his stock is at. Whilst he is somewhat of a betting "outsider" tonight it shouldn't be considered impossible that he wins the title.

@WrestlingInsider

Eddy Kent is the A+ player to everyone involved backstage in 6CWF. Headlining Night of Glory IX has been pretty much a lock for Kent since last May/June when he first arrived back with the company. Getting him to run with the "Genesis" brand was a JJ Johnson idea which has taken off to whole new levels and the alliance with Rex Adamson was a decision made on the fly after their chemistry on camera.

Kent was originally slated for a full program with Lex Hart (before his hiatus) for control of Genesis but those plans changed when Max Adamson decided to appear for the one-off "Desert Storm" show in Saudi. Kent, Rex, Genesis & Max's on-screen dynamic has been "money in the bank" for 6CWF and arguably the biggest story they have ran with over the first year back in business.

There is nobody begrudging these men the spotlight this year, which has been an issue in previous years, because everyone is in agreement that these stars and this story is the correct one to close the show.

@WrestlingInsider

Needless to say it was extremely emotional backstage following the conclusion of the main event. It seems the only people who truly knew what was happening out there was JJ Johnson and Max Adamson. Max was calling the match in-ring and that’s where Eddy Kent learned the finish just moments before the final ‘Genesis’ kick. Kent was under the impression he was dropping the belt.

All pretence of kayfabe was dropped as Kent and Max spent nearly five minutes in Gorilla just hugging it out. Kent was genuinely very upset but extremely honoured to be the one to ‘retire’ Max. Adamson himself was clearly emotional, his entire family having flown over from Australia for the event.

The celebrations/commiserations went for hours. It was a party and whilst many tears were shed everyone was in a great mood following a hugely successful event.

One crew member told us that the morale in 6CWF has never been higher and that the ‘family’ vibe is not manufactured, these people will put it all on the line for one another. The JJ era is 12 months in and we know of at least two talents who are willing to sign multi-year contracts due to how well they have been looked after.
