Jiggery Siggery Diggery in Exiles
No, it's not a new Harry Potter character, rather a new signing for London Irish: Irish signing - the young lad in question is currently away with Wales at the JWC (oh dear!)
London Irish is delighted announce that back row forward Edward Siggery will be joining the Exiles next season.
Siggery, who is currently away at the Junior World Championships with the Wales U20 side, has come up through the ranks at the Scarlets Academy. The 6ft 3in, 16st flanker has also won caps for Wales at U16 and U18 level.
A physical and mobile player, Edward has gained valuable experience playing in the Welsh Premiership over the last 18 months, turning out for the Scarlets three regional three clubs, Llanelli, Carmarthen Quins, Llandovery and more recently Cardiff Blues region, Pontypridd.
Commenting on his decision to move to London Irish Edward Siggery said: "Moving to London Irish is a positive step for me. Quite a few of the young lads at the club made a big impact last season and I hope to do the same when I join next season."
London Irish coach Neal Hatley said: "Ed will be a good addition to our squad for next season. The competitive rugby he has played in the Welsh Premiership will prepare him for the step up to Aviva Premiership Rugby."

Re: Jiggery Siggery Diggery in Exiles
Im guessing this is Siggery the flanker? He has looked good in the U20 6N and against Argentina.
Still, why the interest from LI in signing Welsh U20s? (they already have Shingler).
If he plays for Ponty, why havent the Blues been knocking? Or is it just that LI offered a ridiculous deal as with Shingler?

Shingler has signed for London Irish. Although this was announced a few months ago. A very promising 10.

The simple answer to that is CARDIFF BLUES don't look at any players in the WPL, unless they are in their academy (gathering splinters on their bottoms) or money grabbing foriegners they are not interested.
Ponty's 2 outstanding players from this seasons very successful team, Darren Waters and ED Siggery have both gone, Waters to Newport Gwent Dragons And Siggery to LI.

Re: Jiggery Siggery Diggery in Exiles
JackC - Some Ponty players have played for the Blues this season,
Kristian Dacey was WPL player of the month earlier in the season and was playing for the Blues in and LV (and the ML aswell I think) later on in the year.
Im sure there were others too, but I tend not to look/remember were the LV player are from...

Wales 606---- Kristian Dacey, Rhys Downes are part of the Blues set up already, I'm talking about players who show outstanding ability in the WPL, who are not already linked to a region, the Blues are not interested in any of these players.

Dacey isnt part of the Blues academy - he came from Ponty.
Downes is, but the other SH, Slater, who played ahead of Downes (and has now sighned for Bristol) was straight from Cardiff RFC.
Although I agree that the Blues need to use the WPL players a lot more - especially the Ponty player....any good FHs???

Re: Jiggery Siggery Diggery in Exiles
Sorry Wales 606, I don't want to seem pedantic and start a see-saw argument, but if you look on the Blues website under Academy Squad, you will find that Kristian Dacey is a Academy squad member, as for decent Fly Halfs, they are a bit thin on the the ground, never thought I would have to say that, I don't know what happened with Dai Flannagan at the Blues, I know he didn't get much game time, on the few occasions he did play, I've been told that he did OK, but then I didn't actually see him.

Jack
He did ok a few seasons ago - then was absolutely hopless afterwards.
From what I have heard/seen he has been even worse at the Ospreys,
I guess will will have to cope with Sweeney and Gareth Davies during the WC, but if there are a few injuries we could be in huge trouble.
