Free Transfer List
http://www.premierleague.com/staticFiles/14/79/0,,12306~162068,00.pdf
Above is a list of players that have left their respective Premier League clubs. There are quite some surprising names on the list.
Anyone see any of them staying in the PL with other clubs?
Is there any players on that list that you hope your club in a different league may sign?
I hold hope for James McFadden coming to to Pittodrie

Re: Free Transfer List
Sam Hutchinson retired last year because of a knee injury. If he didn't I know he definitely wouldn't be on that list.
Re: Free Transfer List
Yeah, I think they have included those that have retired because the likes of Gary Neville and Van Der Sar are on the Manchester United list.
That Hutchinson lad can't have been old? He is classed as a next big thing on Football Manager so he must be reasonable

Re: Free Transfer List
John Carew, Nigel Reo-Coker, Lee Bowyer, Seb Larsson, James McFadden, Kevin Phillips, Benjani, Marlon Harewood, Zoltan Gera, Diomansy Kamara, Javier Garrido, Paddy Vieira, Eider Gudjohnsseon, Giles Barnes, Danny gabbidon, Jonathan Spector, Matthew Upson, Marcus Hanheman.
All half-decent players that could do a job in some Premier League teams. Quite a lot of old players that could move abroad to pick up a better pay packet though.

You think he'll move Gaffer? Would be a cracking signing. Definitely beats Rangers attempts to sign Conway!

I'm not a big fan mate, I do think he'll come back up the road though, he is good pals with my mate, he'd rather move back to the North West so his wife can go home but Celtic would be his preference, I'd rather get a big Striker like Boothroyd, we've got Commons who IMO is better, if we do get him I hope we loan Maloney to Aberdeen

Re: Free Transfer List
Yeah, that was my thoughts mate. Commons and McFadden would both be very similar and like you said, you need a big burly striker. Well, you do have Samaras but I reckon I know both our opinions on that useless lump!
I would be happy to take Maloney of your hands mate!

Re: Free Transfer List
Maloney is a great player but he's made of glass, he doesn't want another crack at England and is a home bird, with his parents up in Aberdeen a loan move up there doesn't look so far fetched, I'd love to see him up there though, he nearly went on loan to you in 05 and ended up winning Player of the Year that season

Re: Free Transfer List
West Ham should be looking at snapping some of these boys up; we need strikers it seems so I'd say Phillips, Benjani, Harewood or Gudjonsen would be decent acquisitions for us.
Hargreaves and Woodgate are also on the free list now I believe - anyone dare to sign them on anything but pay as you play?!

Re: Free Transfer List
Really? An aging, over-paid and injury-prone/unfit striker to add to our collection of poor strikeforce- the only guys I'd think about from that list would be Seb Larsson and possibly Reo-Coker and Spector.

Re: Free Transfer List
I'd rather have kept Kuqi on than sign Carew.
It's players like Carew, Vieira and Gudjohnson that I could see going back to play football in some of the smaller countries as a kind of marquee signing.

Re: Free Transfer List
I'd like to see Upson and McFadden be looked at if i'm honest.
Jonas makes a productive cross once in every 2000 and would be handy impact man. And this Vuckic kid looks the mutts nuts so Guitierez's days are numbered as it is.
If Enrique leaves as well we could see Jonas move back to LB where he caused havoc in his first few games at the club.

Re: Free Transfer List
Upson would want ridiculously high wages and is too old.
Sunderland sign Westwood and Larsson- two fantastic freebies and good additions to the squad.
