Premier League Fixtures 2011-12
You are breaching copyright if you list more than one fixture in advance. Once the game has been played it's public record but forthcoming games are covered by Football Dataco.
Please do no post the list of fixtures, you can discuss each and every fixture but not list them.
Please, on here, just link to the official site and not copy and paste.

I cannot wait for the new football season to start already, I hate summers where there is no football!
West Brom first game of the season, be an interesting first match.

I have removed it Tooze, rather than clogging this thread up! Thanks for getting it started though (I forgot they were announced this morning!)
Tough start for West Brom, did they not have Man U a few seasons back on the opening weekend?
Must admit to having to turn SSN off earlier when they started discussing Swansea's opening fixture...one very jealous Enforcer here!

I can only imagine Enforcer, is there even a slight hint of happiness for your Welsh compatriots?

Not really to be honest. Mainly because so many people have said to me 'it's great for Welsh football' that I'm sick of it. I started telling people that if they felt like that they should support a Welsh club and there would possibly be more than one in the premiership!
I don't agree with it either as they currently lack an academy and don't bring many Welsh players through. If that changes with their new status I will happily change my opinion though.

It’s always easy to complain about who you play, and when, but as we (LFC) don’t have a European campaign we only really have to hope we don’t get late season fixture congestion.
We have a couple of nice (?) sets of games in the first half of the season
- the Goodison derby just before the early October internationals then home to Man U straight after....
.... and a trip to Chelsea followed by home to Man City at the end of November.
We should be in for plenty of spring-time TV coverage as well
- home to Spurs and away to Man Utd just before another International weekend mid-Feb ....
.... then the Anfield derby and home to Arsenal in the next two games after.
Can't wait, just hope we can perform in the games that aren't the big headline ones better than we have done recently!

Newcastle have Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool towards the end of November, but rewarded with Norwich, Swansea, West Brom and Bolton as the games before Christmas. Hopefully have around 8pts after 5 games.

I think October is proberly our toughest month to be fair. we have Man u and liverpool both awayand the last two games dont do us any favours either if it is needed with arsenal the last home and villa away

Re: Premier League Fixtures 2011-12
I'm causticity optimistic about this season , I think that signing Ba could prove a master stroke as he's a direct replacement for Caroll and with Ben Arfa coming back into fitness he should be able to slot into Nolan's previous role with Gosling bringing some much needed pace to the side.
Think we'll take the 3 points the opening day against the Gunners

Not the easiest start!
But I think we could get a point against United, they're normally slow starters.

I am very worried about United's opening games against tough teams as we are always slow starters.

Re: Premier League Fixtures 2011-12
Newcastle vs The Mackems 2nd game of the season should be cracking. Judging by our early games we could make a good start this season, top 10 possibly by the end of October. Tough games from then on wards though.
