You are breaching copyright if you list more than one fixture in advance. Once the game has been played it's public record but forthcoming games are covered by Football Dataco.
Please do no post the list of fixtures, you can discuss each and every fixture but not list them.

I'm shocked Carlisle aren't playing Brentford at Brunton Park for the opening game, it's been our opening fixture since Brentford have been in the league.

As an Oldham fan, absolutely delighted with Sheff Utd at home! Next two home games are Rochdale and Huddersfield. The League for once as been very kind to Oldham and should get some needed cash from these games

MK Dons away is a game where we should at aim for a point on opening day and look for 6 at home against Walsall and Huddersfield which isn't unrealistic in my eyes. Hoping for a strong start to the season to give us some momentum as we should be a play off side or at least sniffing about.

Really from 16th to playoffs? I think the league will be just as tight as last year and I expect a lot of teams to be mathematically possible to make play offs coming into the final weeks of the season.
How many points do you all think you will have at the end of August? I believe Carlisle could realistically end the month with 11 points.

Who broke your undefeated streak?Y I Man wrote:Derbyblue wrote: I believe Carlisle could realistically end the month with 11 points.
We're a young side constantly improving, very few players have left (that we're good) only need to find replacements for Marshall (Welsh could be his replacement) and Madine, then a centre back who could provide cover for either left or right back would be useful.

I would have thought it was more predictable than just "thought I would". Also you didn't answer the question.Y I Man wrote:I thought you would bite lol

OK, on topic.
I think Carlisle can do well this season, but how would the financial impact affect them going up a league if they are promoted. Do they have the income to support the wages that is needed in the Championship?
I have a friend at work who supports Carlisle, and is this always his concern.

I'm impressed slightly on topic .
I'm not sure, if we get promoted then I would expect attendances to increase which we would probably be charging more for also get more money given to us by the league, from tv, and should help with sponsorship, and money for going up (would probably have to be through playoffs so that's a bit extra). I think quite a few of our players would be able to stay with us if we went up though I'm sure we would have to get rid of some we probably wouldn't buy many extra players we would be likely to continue to rely on loans to fill the squad just aim for better players. The problem arises that if we stayed up for 3 years we would have to add seating to the two end stands and to part of one of the other stands it would though probably give us enough inital money to sort out the conference facilities in the east stand, which brings in extra sources of finances. In the long term I think we could really struggle to survive financially in the Championship but we have a good board who wouldn't risk the clubs financial stability.

Home to Rochdale, Not a bad one to start with. But no doubt we will manage to stuff that one up royally and get back to losing ways.
oh no.. i can feel the pessimism coming back, you can tell its not too far off the start of the season now

Think it's a bit early to be saying "Told you so!" when it comes to you predicting you would finish in the play offs.
Hopefully Carlisle getting knocked out of the Carling Cup and JPT will mean we are focussing on the league, but in reality I think it's just we messed up and got beaten and I'm sure they'll attempt to take the FA Cup seriously.

I hope we don't take the FA seriously , we usually seem to and it goes to rat!
Did you go last Saturday? apparently your right back caused us all sorts of problems
