Bute-Pavlik, 90% Chance of Happening in November

Multiple outlets in Romania are reporting that Lucian Bute vs. Kelly Pavlik has a 90% probability of taking place in November. InterBox, the promotional brand behind Bute, reportedly made Pavlik an "offer he can't refuse," according to a source within InterBox. Bute will defend his IBF super middleweight title against undefeated Jean Paul Mendy on July 9 at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre in Bucharest, Romania. If Bute and Pavlik agree on the terms, the fight will be televised in the United States by Showtime, which has an exclusive agreement with Bute

Nothing concrete but one rumour has it InterBox steered clear of Kessler, who will now instead challenge for Steiglitz's WBO strap.

Kessler would have been a much better fight, doesn't surprise me they are steering clear of him though.

Just hope Pavlik looks better than in his last outing!

Bute is overrated but so is Pavlik.

No sure if Pavlik will be as effective at SM then M.

Bute still refusing to step up? Dirrell's been sparring and would give him nightmares, why not fight him? he's a overrated fighter who refuses to fight the best, Bute. He hasn't fought 1 SM in the same league as Froch, Ward, Abraham, Dirrell, Kessler

Can't see anything but a UD got bute. Pavlik has slow hands, limited boxing skills and isn't proven at SMW. He looked horrible in his last outing.

I think Kessler would be alot harder opponent but he wants to play it safe atm. Maybe he still feels rusty and doesn't want to fight bute as he has only just got his career moving again and doesn't want another setback

Pavlik looked very poor and ploddy in his last fight, but that was after a hefty lay off and some turbulence in his private life. Bute hasnt been tested since Andrade 1, so who knows, if Pav carrried his power up then he has a chance but logic says bute uf
