Olympic Damper?
Have you read the reports today about the need to protect those parts of the Olympic Road Race course?
I quote: "...habitats are absolutely hallowed turf in terms of conservation".
So, don't expect to be able to spectate a la Alpe d'Huez style on the banks of Box Hill.
Having lived in the area all my life, it's very nice but only a piece of scruffy downland. If it's so precious why do they allow mangy sheep to graze there?
I despair!
