London 2012 tickets
Has anybody on this forum secured any tickets for the track and field sessions at the olympics?

Re: London 2012 tickets
Ive got tickets for the mens 200 final which is also mens triple jump, mens 800 , womens 800 semis and womens javelin final. Cost a fortune but once in a lifetime event so totally chuffed to be seeing an Olympic legend and maybe a GB gold and a couple of other medal shouts.

Re: London 2012 tickets
I unfortunately didn't, but one of my friends got a ticket for the 100m final. So utterly, utterly jealous. But then again, would I really want to part with so much money for something that's going to last under 10 seconds?? .....yeah you know I think I would!
Diggers - that's an awesome ticket to get, should be loads of British interest in those events too!

Not at all as the wife paid . I think we applied for category C tickets but with the option of being offered B or D and we were moved up to B so they cost £295 each. Like I say a lot but this was the session we really wanted and its on the evening of our wedding anniversary so really a fantastic present to each other

It's a lot, but not completely crazy. I'm sure I would have paid that for such a one off.
Congratulations, hope you enjoy the night.

Applied for a lot. Got 2 morning sessions of athletics (which weren't sold out anyway) and 1 session of rowing (which is the only place I got lucky).

I'm one of them cynics who has been put off by this whole process. Just did not have the means to pledge loads of money (I was bricking it with the total amount on my application and it proved woefully too little!), so got nothing and wasnt interested in handball for the sloppy seconds sale. Anyway this has all been said before, so I'll leave it there.
I hope everyone enjoys their days there, I wish I was there with you. Will have to satisfy myself with a weekend crystal palace diamond league ticket before promptly leaving the country to avoid the agony of the best athletes in the planet competing in the greatest sporting event only 2 miles from my home!

I'm pretty dissapointed too. I belong to a big athletics club and we only have a couple of families who have any tickets. Despite the fact that lots of them applied.
As usual the whole thing is a giant stitch-up. Why for example doesn't every athletics club in the country get tickets to dispose of as they wish? After all where do the organisers imagine all their track and field stars actually come from?

Spot on. Where is the sport legacy? Also where is the payback for the people from the five boroughs having to put up with all the disruption for 6 years?!
