Bad Water Bottle Behaviour
I think players who line up water bottles on the court should be banned.
Its distracting to other players who may prefere the lables to face in a different direction. It takes up valuable space on the court that may be needed when retrieving a drop shot. A gust of wind could blow them over at an inappropriate time - perhaps startling a player as they prepare to serve at break point down. If more than 1 water bottle is used the player doing the bottle lining is using up more than their fair share of water. This could cause dehydration in their opponant. Some more sensitive players worry so much about accidentally knocking the bottles over as they change ends that they lose concentration. Other players spend so much time plotting to knock them over on purpose that they lose concentration.
I can think of several grand slam finals whose outcome has been affected by this activity. I am shocked that it has been allowed to continue for so long!

I absolutely agree... and even more distracting is when they use not only their water (which is obviously a clear liquid) lined up with other bottles containing juice, energy drinks, glucose etc.. all different colours... most distracting when the sunshines sends a shafts of varying colours across court.. tsk tsk tsk.

They should ban water bottles on court and while they are at it the use of towels.
Fred Perry didn't have either and look what he did!

Yes and while they are at it if it's Wimbledon they should all be made to drink Robinsons, and to avoid upsetting any sensitive followers of the game make the bottles label less.

OMG Sl this could mean confusing the players completely.. not knowing which way to face the bottle could result in loss of concentration and focus. Unidentifiable liquid surely would not be acceptable to the APT... could lead to testing on court...Good Lord.
Whatever next... the size of the bottle..definitely no 1.5ltr bottles allowed on court..the size is also a distraction

The size of the bottle really irritates me.
Murray uses what I believe to be an illegal size of bottle, far to big and shouldn't be allowed. (must be one of the few things the media haven't picked up on!)

In general, all bottling should be banned.

I think this article sounds a lot like the hot staff the legendary OP once known as VMP used to post on the old 606.
