Wales u20 v Ireland u20, JWC
Wales won 34 - 28.
Another mediocre tournament. It's time for the WRU and the regions to sort out some of the obvious problems in Welsh rugby. For me, one of them is the quality of coaching and the recruitment and retention of coaches. I thought it was good news to hear that Ringo has been offered a junior role with the Dragons -- I would like to see him as a backs coach at one of the regions (well, the Ospreys ideally). Some coaches are given too much time in jobs in Welsh rugby, and others don't seem to get a look-in despite the fact that they appear to show an ability to analyse a game, with genuine insights. Welsh rugby used to be far more vibrant that it is now -- with far more personalities and freshness of attititude and spirit both on and off the field. It was also good to hear Webster speak his mind. We need coaches who will suppport their players, but who also aren't afraid to speak out -- boldly and plainly, without the BS.

Well said. A mixed bag of a tournament really.
In the non important matches, or the easier games Wales looked fluent and confident, in the tougher, vital matches they can close out, or they fully implode.
They are a young team, most only 18 and there is hope that they will make a better account of themselves later.
They do learn from mistakes, and todays result against ireland is far better than the result in the Under 20s 6 Nations.

"wasn't the score 38-24 not 34-28 Ospreydragon?" - Yes, it was -- my apologies. Poor typing! It was a comfortable win.

it was a better result than against ireland in the six nations, so we should take something from that achievement.
THis is a young squad with some good players, experience will see them come good in the future.

Check the video section - towards the bottom of the page there's a selection of full matches on video, with just highlights for others
