Take that as a no Luke?

Won't bother then but personally think he's up there with the best in the PL.

Don't take my word as gospel mate.

He's a finsher and nothing else IMO> And even then he misses some glaring opportunities. Saw him in the flesh too many times at Spurs - can't rememeber seeing a more disliked player at the Lane.

I didn'tt think he would be rated tbh, I'm just going to have to aim higher with Bolton obviously. And you'd take him over any of your strikers now wouldn't you?

Well i'd have him over Keane, but that's about it.

Not enough technical ability to play for us. Needs to be at a mid table club who play long ball primarily.

I think I'm gonna have to cancel the Essien transfer and also maybe sack GloucesterBear. I don't want to do this but I don't want to see Chelsea ruined and everyone is trying to just nick their best players rather than considering what's best for a competitive league. I mean, he offered me £18m + Olsson for Essien, obviously an unfair deal, which I turned down. Don't see why other people are not kindly pointing out to someone with no experience in these games that they're conning them. I mean, get a good deal by all means but conning someone is not on.

Hodgey, are you going to have the 4 week injury rule you had on a previous league where 1 player is injured for 1 week, 1 for 2, 1 for 3 and 1 for 4. Injured players can be traded where they become fit for their new team.

This really increased activity since you needed to do deals to change key injured players.

I genuinely don't think the deal is that bad.... with the cash there's Schwein, Xavi, Busquets, Cambiasso etc available.

Yeah but he has one foreign transfer a day and now needs to strengthen a position he didn't originally have to. Tiote isn't rated on this league, you know that. If you had Essien and I offered you Tiote + £25m, would you do it?

I wouldn't do it but as a newbie to this type of league it is a deal you might do thinking the £25m was a good price. I remember selling David Silva for £30m on my first league since it was a huge sum irl at those times. I only learned later that it was a bad move.

One option is to let the deal stand but give Chelsea 2 signings on the first day of foreigns so GloucesterBear can make use of the £25m whilst there are top players available. Monitor other deals with Chelsea whilst he gets up to speed with the league. He deserves a chance.

There's a way to test this theory...

Your Newcastle. You have loads of transfers per day, you can easily sign one of the players you mentioned.

So...

Muamba + 25m = Essien

??

OTW, you've been in these leagues a long time so you have a responsibility to help out newcomers and make sure deals are fair.

If you thought the deal was fair, do MOT's deal. Muamba > Tiote so you'd be gaining.

Cancel it if you feel it's unfair. You've stated that in the rules to a league we've all signed up to - your right to do that.

Your call though.

I've given up dealing with OTW.. his ratings are just so far from the general ratings of this league it makes it hard to even build a foundation for a deal. For example, he'd pay £12 mil for Pratley - would anyone else do that?!

... I'm in a right grumpy mood today!

Im a newbie, i know my football, but advice on prices, ratings etc is much appreciated.

Gone for Valencia and Hernandez already in this league. Everton desparetly needed a RW and a CF and at £26m, i think those two are great signings, especially if Modric was £20m on his own.

Hoping that they are both rated and i have done ok there?

Not played a football game before where it has taken off, so im a bit new on how the system works.

Didn't really look into my only foreign transfer, but I know my football I honestly do and should do well in this fingers crossed.

Tiote is a good player, and I was looking at money to get in two central midfielders but I guess that's a bad move at the start.

Haha. He's rated amongst the best on here Modric (not to mention he's one of my fave players) and it saves me faffing around on foreigns signing a CAM. One less position to worry about.

Bathite you've done well there mate. OK

Gloucester no problems mate. Just Essien is the best defensive midfielder on these games so to lose him at the start when you'd struggle to replace him in foreigns is suicidal. The deal has therefore been reversed.

OK
