BBC devote too much time to "Murray Mania" Empty BBC devote too much time to "Murray Mania"

It's no wonder Murray always falls short in the semi's, the BBC propaganda machine can't stop hyping Murray as if he is a special player, when in reality, he is this era's Michael Chang.

Doesn't really have the weapons to stop a top player in their tracks, likes to sit tight and retrieve too much.

BBC need to change their philosophy of hyping up anybody with British nationality and wait for them to deliver first, which Murray simply hasn't done.

While I don't agree with him being this era's Michael Chang, I am sick of hearing about Murray continuously. Do the other Grand Slam countries talk about their own players as much I wonder? I can understand it at the French since they have about 20 players in the top 100, but do the likes of Australia spend their entire time talking about Bernard Tomic, for instance?

Really? I don't think that happened. He was given an award named after a saint - not put forward for sainthood himself.

The HIGHEST AWARD in their Religious Calendar Davie !

What would you call it if A. Murray was uplifted to the
order of the Kinights Templar without doing ANYTHING ?

You need a great forehand at this level, clearly anything with 2 eyes can see Murray's is lacking.

And if Lopez had it in spades JM he would've beat Murray.

Lopez could only dream of taking a set of Nadal in a Grand Slam.

Not quite sure what your point is. He hasn't been "beatified" (he's not the messiah he's just a very naughty boy etc etc)

It's a high award for someone who has achieved no1 status. A bit like Chris Hoy getting a Knighthood.

If Murray got any sort of award for his current level of achievement it would be a travesty. Djokovic on the other hand will be crowned world no1 on Monday whatever happens.

If he'd won Wimbledon he'd be a shoe-in. As it is he is currently on about the same chances as Neil Lennon
