Hodgson Unsure Whether West Brom Will Stay Up
New West Brom head coach Roy Hodgson admits he isn't sure whether the club are good enough to stay in the Premier League.
The former Liverpool boss watched WBA throw away a three goal lead to draw with West Ham on Saturday.
In his first media conference since replacing Roberto Di Matteo, Hodgson admits he's still to be convinced of the quality of the side.
"I'm afraid after 90 minutes working with them today and 90 minutes watching them on Saturday, I can't answer that question."
West Brom are currently 17th in the Premier League, above the relegation zone on goal difference.
After an impressive start to the season the side have only picked up a point in their last four games.
"We don't have much time, like a lot of other clubs, we're in a desperately difficult situation at the bottom of the league, trying to retain our status."
Hodgson's also confirmed he will work under WBA's Director of Football Dan Ashworth, which means the pair will have a joint remit when it comes to signing players.
Hodgson's first game in charge will be against rivals Wolves in the Black Country derby on Saturday.
