Sanagakara and love that dare not speak its name....
Apparently it is now possible for players to be honest and love cricket more than money:

Sounds like hes trying to get elected as best guy in the world. Hats off to him, the words "closing, stable door, after , horse and bolted" do spring to mind here though.
Chances of Afridi and Tendulkar doing the same? Yeah didnt think so. Chris Gayle has kinda sort of tried to stand up to his rank board but it seems to be as much about personal wealth to him as any great moral objection to corruption and bad practise.
Obviously we all know that Stuart Broad wont be droped or banned as his dad owns the ICC or something.

In an hour-long speech that earned him a standing ovation, Sangakkara charted the unique history of cricket in his country, and called on SLC to root out its corrupt practices .................Sri Lanka's ongoing tour of England has been dogged by controversy ever since Sanath Jayasuriya, now an MP with the ruling UPFA party, was recalled at the age of 41 to play in the one-off Twenty20 and the first ODI at The Oval, despite having been out of the side for nearly two years. Without mentioning names, Sangakkara voiced his concern at the direction the sport in his country is now heading..........."The Spirit of Cricket can and should remain a guiding force for good within society, providing entertain and fun, but also a shining example to all of how we all should approach our lives."

Sangakkara, is undoubtedly the smartest speaker in the current Cricket World.
He is so good at it, but only one problem, he is too arrogant at time, to give the opposition any credit for winning.
Anyway, SLC is run more like PCB,at every step, there is Govt. intervention.
