Kerry STILL have Cork in Psychological armlock!?
First topic message reminder :
DISCUSS!
I couldn't see Cork trouncing Kerry the way Down did last year at Croke Park.
I think northern teams are unafraid of Kerry but I think teams like Dublin and Cork especially still are.

Not talking them up at all. It is what it is.
The art of "yerra" is their forte. They are 127 time AI champs at that....they are the yerra benchmark

In 2011, Kerry is the best team in Ireland
Cork used to freeze against Kerry on big days outside Munster. Having won an AI and gotten that monkey off their backs, Cork will no longer get stage fright when they see a Kerry jersey. They are the two best teams in the country right now, but the reason Cork will lose to Kerry this year is not because of nerves but because Kerry are better footballers:

Now, Brolly is a rogue and loves to wind you up, but look past the wind-up language and there's a kernel of truth in what he's saying above. Cork have the pace and power and fitness to bludgeon most teams; but Kerry are nearly as strong and they have an extra layer of skill - players that can improvise and get scores out of nothing - and that'll be the difference.
As for the rest:
Dublin - just not good enough; too reliant on the brilliant Brogans, will implode under their own hype as usual.
Tyrone - not good enough; if the 2011 team faced the 2005 Tyrone team, the current lot wouldn't see which way the 2005 team went. Their best players are well past it; they are now an average team with a lot of experience and composure, but experience only takes you so far.
Kildare - better than either Dublin or Tyrone, lack real class, a bit like Cork, but well-organised, big, strong and committed; and thanks to McGeeney's Roy Keane mentality, will always finish strongly. Worth watching out for, but Kerrry's AI to lose.

Kildare are better than Dublin? Please explain your reasoning behind this ridiculous statement. They are a good side but we have beaten them any time we have played them in the last few year's with 14 men for most of the last two game's.

I really hate Joe Brolly. He is right that Cork are physical. So are Dublin. Cork have some talented players,it's a pity two of them are out for the season. Brolly seems to dislike everyone who isn't from Ulster.

To describe Canty as average is just crazy, ok he is past his best, but on his day still an outstanding player and leader.

As you well know Kennelly shouldn't have been on the field after 12 seconds. shur a grand kerry ref let him stay on.
Canty led the team to the all ireland last year. Not bad going.
