MITB: Are we setting us up for a fall?
CM Punks "promo of the year" contender and the introduction of VKM in the mix has made a lot of noise on these boards about WHAT could happen at the end of Money In The Bank. I think it is safe to say that MITB would not be getting anywhere near the amount of interest if the revelations of the last few weeks had not come to pass.
However my question is what if we are kidding ourselves that something fairly major is going to happen?
Could something along the lines of the following happen:
1) Punk wins, setting him up as a new Austin lite and a period of domination
2) Punk wins, with interference from Vince, paving the way for a new Corporation group
3) Cena wins, with interference from Vince, thus resulting in a heel turn.
4) Cena wins, even with interference from Vince trying to help Punk, thus leading with Vince and Punk teaming up in the aftermath
5) Punk or Cena wins, MITB winners cashes in, and wins, thus a new champion and elevation within the company.
There have been many other predictions about the aftermath, but generally they fall within the bracket of these 5 scenarios. Now after Punks promo, one would have said there is an another setting:
6) Cena wins clean over Punk.....bye bye Punk.
However, the introduction of the Chairman has made that probably the least likely. There HAS to be some kind of screwjob finish. Surely???? VKM has to be involved somewhere. Surely????
Or maybe not...
We can go back to the amount of interest this PPV has gained over the last 2 weeks. Would a Cena v Punk main event been as appealing without the promo? When we knew Punk contract was up in the air and a Cena win always looks odds on favourite in any main event, even if that would result in a lot of heat from the hometown crowd?
Does anyone think, (even after all the CM Punk contract merry go round and the involvement of McMahon) that it will simply be a Cena clean win, with no outside interference from the MITB winner or Vince, and with Punk leaving?
Thus resulting in another missed opportunity and the loss of a truely talented performer.

I was hoping no one would mention or think about this as a possible finish, including anyone in the WWE. I'd love to say that this will definately not happen, but sadly I can't
