Elite Development Manager
The IRFU is currently seeking applications for the position of Elite Player Development Manager responsible for Munster Rugby.
Who had this position previously or is it a new position? Who has the position in the other provinces or is this a position that the IRFU feel Munster need/deserve?

Re: Elite Development Manager
Mike Ruddock will get it.
He's going to need a job that pays money soon!

Re: Elite Development Manager
The duties of this are:
Oversee the strategies and long-term objectives of the elite pathway aligned to IRFU LTPD and Technical models, to include the Academy Programme, the Sub-Academy Programme, the National Talent Programme and the Regional Development Squad Programme.
Ensure delivery of agreed service level provision for all aspects of the elite pathway with the IRFU Performance Committee and Provincial Performance Board.
Manage the development and progression of players for the professional game in Ireland to Pro12, European, International and World Class standards.
Manage an integrated service team to ensure best service provision for all players within elite pathway.
It seems like a Director of Rugby role.

Re: Elite Development Manager
Yea I know what it seems the job is aimed at is getting the most out of the Munster academy and integrating them into the team. I'm thinking its in response to the poor U20s crop.

Wanted: Elite Development Manager
Candidate's wanted to apply for above vacancy. Most possess a large fishing net to trawl Wales to look for players with Irish grand parents.
Bonuses include but not limited to:
1) Caravan at chosen camp in Swansea / Port Talbot area.
2) Pipe to empty diesel tanks
3) wire cutters
The ability to seduce local ladies with a husky Irish accent would be an advantage as we seek to look at the long term prospects of the Grand parent rule.
Sorry low blow
Seriously though Mike Ruddock would be great for this role.

Re: Elite Development Manager
I think Mike Ruddock is coaching Lansdowne next season - why do you think Jordi Murphy was getting all that U20s experience in the JWC
