I watched them play England in the CC final. A pretty competent side but without much in the way of match winners.

Monro is physical at 10, and obviously I've seen DTH beat a few opponents on the Glasgow wing.

I hope they do well, but with France and New Zealand in the same group, they could take a couple of beatings.

I'm hoping DTH will give them some more bite in the backs. They will be aiming for two victories. Do people think they will get those?

I reckon they could actually do ok and I'd back them to beat Japan easily. However Tonga have shown some real bite recently and I think will be too much for the Canadians. A good team though.

I wouldn't agree about Japan Stag. I would say Canada will win but it won't be easily.

I think they'll lose to Tonga, but beat Japan. I haven't seen Japan play since the last WC though, so have no real idea whether they've improved or not.

Tough group, in theory they could come away with four defeats although they should beat Japan.

Here in Canada I've yet to find out if it's even being televised, although I will be cheering them on along with England. With the time differences between here and New Zealand meaning middle of the night games interest is going to be very low, even by Canadian standards (and they are usually pretty good at cheering on national teams over here, even when they haven't got a clue whats happening).

I watch Japan as often as I can and if a team is having an off day their capable of tearing them to pieces.
Teams like Usa, Canada, and the Islands sides can easily come unstuck against Japan and lose about 1 in 3 games against them.

What's Arlidge doing these days? I remember a season or two ago seeing his name on the score sheet for the Dragons quite regularly.

James Pritchard can be a game changer, on a good day his kicking can make quite an impact, especially if he retains his Bedford form.
