Live scores- 16-17/7/11 Muggsy MIA
Jungle drums beating out the sound of eoin mulligan hanging up the hairdryer.......
best of luck mugsy (if true).
The goal of a generation against the junkies that defined that team.
The casual chat with Peter over the taking of a do or die free.....
some man.

Re: Live scores- 16-17/7/11 Muggsy MIA
As the article says Mulligan appears to be getting less and less game time but this has been a trend for the last two seasons, was he injured for part of last year?. Is he carrying the can for the poor scoring return in the Dublin game last year, is it the start of the end for this group of Tyrone players. Unfortunately for the rest of us there is a conveyor belt of talent from winning minor teams over the last decade to be tapped into.
On another note the games at Pairc Tailteann and "fortress" Aughrim are all ticket. I can understand Pairc Tailteann but what is the capacity at Aughrim.
Its a pity Aughrim wasnt always a fortress it would spoil a few songs and banners!. Is Micko old enough to have been there

very possibly
2-10 to 1-12 to cork in the munster u-21 @ ht
some of the lads from my club were in thurles last weekend and were with this tipp side & reckoned they were unbelievably sharp. So whatever happens from here, I was half expecting something else.

great game and i know it is self indulgent, but a real lift for Cork hurling.
I cannot get over aidan walsh...lording it against all stars with hardly any preparation.

It isn't Cari. Rebel,Walsh is some hurler alright Lehane looks like a decent prospect aswell. A good win for Cork hurling but there are still too many problems being ignored. An underage structure is needed, the development squads aren't enough. I presume Sheehan would have played too if he wasn't injured? How come they have put up the same part of the hurling twice?

Nice link, they've got our win over the dorty dubs from '91 in the greatest saga between the counties on there, superb. Here rebel, would I be able to catch the GAA club championships on that, once the inter-county season is over?

Ger Fitxgerald "oz" mentioned sheehan specifically after the game saying he'd have been involved. I know he is a Frank man but he made a lot of right calls in that game that we aren't seeing at senior level. he brought on damian cahalane (niall's kid and minor football finalist last year) at just the right time as tipp were getting back into it. he spoke very well after the match and looks to have the faith of the lads and the trust of the football panel to do right by the dual boys.
It was greatly heartening to see that the lads are there to be developed.

Kildare really are good to watch, they are the team id like to see win it (but i don't see anyone beating Kerry).
Im feeling we have a good chance against Wexford. Cork Down should be a good game.

Aye, don't you just love Kildare!!
It was a determined performance but we were poor, especially in our shooting. Cian Ward and O'Rourke were our best on the day. Our failure to score on many occasions put our defence under increasing pressure to stop the lilywhite forwards and we were unable to build a sustainable lead. The midfield often gave the service needed but we failed to produce the goods and the kildare defence seemed pretty solid. In the end we broke under the strain and we were unable to keep up.
I had a wee bit of confidence in wicklow, but still thought oor ma would win in the end. Shame for micko and his team after doing so well last week, I felt a wee bit sorry for the guy.

Re: Live scores- 16-17/7/11 Muggsy MIA
Glad to see the extent of the Down win passed under the radar. I was hoping for a win of any kind ( the bookies handicap was four points). The last twenty minutes of the second half were awesome and a twelve point win was way beyond my expectation.
If Down and this is the big if, can gain enough ball in the middle third they can certainly put it up to Cork. The forward unit when it clicks a thing of beauty.
Positives from last night the Coulter/Laverty full forward line gets better with each game, Dannny Hughes got a run out and Mooney gets better with each appearance.
I hope they show Laverty goal in the highlights, he picked the ball up 35 yards out beat defenders and buried the ball.
Please make the game v Cork next Saturday evening in Portlaoise or anyhere else next Sunday.

Just back from the Hyde, dirty old day for football.
Ref make some bad decisions,
Roscommon should of took a goal chance.
What did the TV3 panel make of it.

Looks like the north produces some quality golfers.
In other news, can you believe that someone sent me a Poopie email on Facebook because I'm Welsh and support the GAA? What's that all about?
