I've been to engalndshire twice myself as a wee wean. Only in the north though. Fell off the donkey in blackpool..... Won't be missing much then, wexford v kilkenny and the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaterford game seems the two best ones.

I might be going back there couple of days later as well. I might get frequent flier miles.
The wexford v KK game is intriguing rather than good, but the Limerick V Blaaaaaaaaahs game is very interesting. I wonder where Limerick are?

Aye it should be interesting, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaterford came out on top last time they met in munster. Who'd you say will win munster this year RB? Atm I'd say Tipp to beat waaaaaaaaaaaaaaterford in the final.

Tipp should do it handy enough to be honest.
Donal O'Grady has done better than expected in the league as Limerick manager so this is the real acid test for them. Waterford have been to the well a lot of times. I don't really know what the Limerick people expect out of this. A solid showing should keep them happy.
Clare are a year older and a year wiser.....but wise enough I don't think so.
I'd agree with your predictions but there is a lot to be gained from doing well next week.... I am really talking it up now and i'm sad to miss it.....if i do.

I think all Limerick supporters are hoping to be well in the game with 20 minutes to go and if we are we have a chance..............Waterford are of course unpredictable (except for the Brick who is consistently brilliant). I think actually having a disruptive character like Dan Shanahan gone from the panel will help them......if i was doing the handicaps for Paddy Power, i'd go for Waterford (-4)......................

sensible enough expectations JC.
I never usually care if it isn't cork playing but something (D O'G) is making me root for Limerick next week.

Liam Hayes reckons that the Dub forward line in the country and the Dubs are the best team to watch in the country. The Dubs are the best team in the country.
Kerry only have two top quality forwards (declan o'sullivan and colm cooper).
This man is paid for his opinion on Gaelic games.....

That's his opinion, he's obviously a bit slow being from Meath but I would'nt say he's a mile away in his estimation top three forward line's in the country defo.

Well done to the Wexford u21 hurler's last night who beat the lard out of Kilkenny. Dublin are playing Carlow who are managed by Paul Flynn and are a very good up and coming team.

It wasn't top three forward lines, it was THE top forward line.
Kerry only have 2 top class forwards.
And the dubs being the most entertaining side in the country?

Just saw that on the GAA iphone app....
I have an I phone and have had for the last week. it has replaced my old phone that had buttons that did not work. I changed networks too. i can now receive calls in my house. it has been a revalation.......except nobody calls me except my sister in order to ask me the same question OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
Paul Flynn has a funny shaped head.

Oh right, I would not go as far to say they are THE best now at all that would be just arrogant even for a Dub considering they have won nothing. I don't like him for obvious reason's and I dislike his view's on the game even less. Top class Kerrry forward's for me are Gooch, Dec O Sullivan, Donaghy, Galvin, Sheehan(even though he play's mid now) Darren o Sullivan. Im prob missing one or two there also so they defo have more the two yes.

Jesus " I dislike his view's on the game even less" that does'nt really make sense, must be all the shmmog up in Dublin clogging my brain.
Yes good win for the u21s. Dublin were also playing Kildare in the JFC in Parnell last night Kildare won 1-9 - 0-05. Hopefully that is not a sign for the senior match.

Liam Hayes would never recognise Kerry even if they won every year. Yes Dublin's forwards look good now but what county would not want Donaghy?
Darren O Sullivan has become more consistent and is contributing for 70 mins. That is four I would not swap with any county.

Look, Kerry have the best set of forwards in the game FULL STOP. That doesn't mean they are the best team(they might be that too!).
Cooper, Donaghy & Declan O'Sullivan are top class (although Donaghy's attitude can be suspect) and Darran O'Sull i think is in for a big year......i would describe Galvin as more of a forager than a forward, but as foragers go he is unequalled!!
Kerry obviously need to find another top quality midfielder...........

I agree John. There are three positions to be sorted out and it is now June. We are definitely not the best team at the moment. I would put Cork & Dublin some distance ahead of us. It is probably too late for this year but we need to find a full, centre back and midfielder before next season.

Thats that then, why bother with the rest of the year.
Nothing in Leinster but the dubs, Connaght need not bother and as for Ulster do they still have teams.

Hugely disappointed that Limerick didn't get over the line.................a difficult qualifier awaits....................hope the lads can take the right lessons from it and if we can improve the performance then we have a shot................the team i hope to avoid in the qualifiers is Galway if they are there, although i do think Galway might just edge the Dubs............................

Nobody's slacking Cari. Since this morning I've not been able to get near a PC all day.
We were right about that waaaaaterford match. What a game it reads with Mullane's last minute goal.
Meath V Louth in qualifiers, eh. I sure hope that with the Kildare game we've already paid for last years Leinster final and that there isn't more to come in this "re-match".

I'm back. Just watched the sunday game. First thing that stood out was the penalty save for Limerick. it reminded me EXACTLY of a penalty saved by Cork in the golden era. The players knew exactly where to be "if" a penalty was awarded and "if" a penalty was saved. A real shame they couldn't get over the line but they gave Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaterford all they could handle. nobody will want Limerick in the qualifiers with that game under their belt.
Michael Murphy will have his red rescinded and the kyavan bucko who never got sent off , should have been.

The asian champs v tipp
Interim v west evil

Kyavan V Longford

I think Donal O'Grady's dignified interview after the game was a credit to him compared to the vile behaviour of Davy Fitz during the game.............not sure why Barry Kelly allowed himself to be spoken to in that manner during the game................of course he'll try an excuse himself with talk of "my passion for the game, heat of the moment"...............truth is he is and always will be a cretin.........................

Good to be back.
They never talked about the behaviour of the poisoned dwarf but they did show an interview with him and he knows they were lucky to get out of Dodge in one piece.
a great keeper (one of the best) in his day but a vile little runt of a man.

Jim McGuinness has little to complain about. He has achieved two wins in two outings in the championship but they must be just about the two worst games in this year competition and the early rounds have had quite a few contenders. Only 9,000 at the game yesterday. I normally wouldn't have a great love for Tyrone but please god put them out of their misery.
On a different note if the Kung Fu Cavan expert had Zidane moment what possible insult could have resulted in his reaction? (I AM NOT SUGGESTING HE WAS INSULTED)

Insulted at the proximity of the opposition.
It is a sad state of affairs when Pat Spillane is the voice of reason. Maybe Brolly being such a rocket made spillane realise that calling a match properly is the only way to go. Donegal will come up short playing that kind of football against anyone half-way decent. The match against antrim was very very poor. That is all Spillane said. If McGuinness takes that as a personal insult to either him or his players, then he is maybe a touch on the soft side.
We didn't need the sunday game to tell us that game was horrible. That game was horrible. He sets up his team like that, he is responsible for it. They are winning games (so far) so good luck to them, but no amount of ranting is going to change the fact that they play horrible football.

On Pat Spillane I think you are reading him all wrong. I can understand why most of the country might not like him because of his delivery and being sensational at times but most of the reason is because he does read matches properly. He analyses the games honestly and bluntly and some people do not like it. I cannot remember any occasion where I have not agreed his analysis of a particilar match over the years. The same goes for O Rourke and Brolly. I find their analysis honest and to the point. The football analysis beats the hurling hands down. On the hurling analysis there are no bad matches or bad performances. It is all too cosy.
