GOLD CUP - Friday 18th March
Can't see Kauto being able to win this.........would love to be wrong.
Neptune for a place and very possibly a win..... or am I being a bit too optimistic?

Re: GOLD CUP - Friday 18th March
Didnt have him down as a Gold Cup horse before the season started,he was my idea of a King George horse and so it proved but now that he has won the Kempton showpiece then i have to take a chance on LONG RUN.People crab his previous Cheltenham runs but his third in last years RSA wasnt a catastrophe(he actually traded at slight odds on in running) and his PP third had excuses(trip too short, first run back).Lets not forget, hes still only six so there has to be improvement aplenty in him.At the current odds of 6s he makes to my mind some sort of appeal.
As a big price alternative then i have to stick with the old rogue TIDAL BAY,loves the Festival, strong gallop will suit and he will be finishing strong when others have cried enough.40s is just way,way too big.

Re: GOLD CUP - Friday 18th March
Thanks for your thoughts on the big races racingnut.
I've been having this feeling about Neptune Collonges, these last few days, he keeps popping into my head.
I think if the others don't quite run up to expectations and Neptune runs like he did when winning at Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago then I think he could do it.
AP will be on board, he and Neptune suited each other very well, I thought.
I think I'm going to edit my big race predictions........go Neptune!
I doubt that anyone will agree with me lol.

Re: GOLD CUP - Friday 18th March
i am 100 percent with racingnut 100% here. my bets will be on long run and tidal bay. i would like to see kauto and denman in the mix too but i think they are now on the decline. hopefully tidal bay is somewhere close to 33's come the day. im really confident that if he gets it all together he is very overpriced
