hows it going to work with the cash bit? can france only buy french players? or is it more like the fantasy footy leagues, where you have cash to pick a squad

Re: Rugby World Cup 2011™ Homepage
The countries only relate to the starting squads of 30. After that any player can play for any team, so any foreigns are available.
Blogs will hate that!!
Hoping to start around 5/9 to allow time to settle squads. Fixtures will coincide with the RWC:
12/9 - Round 1
19/9 - Round 2
26/9 - Round 3
3/10 - Round 4 (Lose the losers from each pool)
** CASH INJECTION**
10/10 - QF's
17/10 - SF's
23/10 - Final

Sounds good, maybe a limit of 'overseas' players in each team, need to keep some affiliation to the country bit.
Will players outside of each teams WC30 be available? For example, if I was the islanders, I would want to sign Nacewa and Caucau, would that be allowed?

The WC30 will be the starting squads for each team with the exception of Scotaly and Pacific Islanders where it will be 30 players from the 60/90 players picked.
Any players that don't go to the WC (eg Bekker, Chuter..) will be available in foreigns.

Just thinking about releases thats all
I want the max squad to be 30 but that would mean people would have to release before they bought foreigns which may negate the higher budgets the lesser teams have..
Not sure how we're picking yet.. although I'm shotgunning the Wallabies if we go down that route.

Surely you can't do it by shot gun! Got to be a random list, only fair way, otherwise some latecomer will get stuck with Wales

Best get in there quick then Bathite... lol
Nah it'll be random.org but then Managers can choose in order.. I like there to be a bit of choice rather than, say, Prop being dumped with England!

Random then choose....I like it, bet there will be a few surprises that way as well. Some good teams in there that with 1/2 signings all of a sudden look much much better

I'd be interested, pull why not have smaller squads to counter the bigger teams better back up. If we start with 22, NZ won't have as much as an advantage over others

207, good man
Good point, might consider that. Just make it the managers reponsibility to cut the 30 down to 22..?

Re: Rugby World Cup 2011™ Homepage
I'm not involved but maybe allow NZ 1 foreign and scale from that etc. You'd have to hit injuries home big style to take affect or possibly only allow 10 selections from each squad to increase foreigns....

Re: Rugby World Cup 2011™ Homepage
The league contains the best nations from around the world - surely NZ wouldnt be able to improve in foreigns as a) they have no money and b) they'll be no better than what they already have?
I think the best idea is to have squads of 22-25 to negate new sealants dominance.

Pull: is there a draft where we pick teams or how is it going to work? Also: is there going to be a quota of non-qualified players eg (4) per match day squad? Finaly one: are we doing predos?
