Whys Coonie playing TH? He has had a few spankings at LH already and would of thought he would want to nail down his scrummaging there first before even considering TH where scrummaging is even more important!!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
Nick I wouldnt get the train at all mate, I took that option when I went to watch Eng v Wales.
I would drive to Whitton and park in the streets there for free - its then a ten minute walk to Twickers, you walk passed three great rugby pubs and the best fish and chip shop in London! You park in all the back roads opposite Whitton Station (there is a road exactly opposite this station, drive up it and there are loads of spaces to park).
Beats having to pay £20 for parking near the ground!

Ah fantastic - Wade, Davies and Launchbury all starting for the double header three of the best young players in English rugby :-)

Have a look at some of Wade's tries...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Snr7hAfT_3Q
Reminds me of a young Shane Williams with that sideside and acceleration off the mark!
Wonder whether his size will be against him, though didnt do Shane any harm!

Looks like I may well be only using one of the 2 double header tickets Dan Bowden has kindly given me, so may have one spare if anyone wants it? Will know for definite later on but it is likely I will have a spare.

Who do you think best signings have been?

Hard to tell at this stage, could have some major flops. The Samoan backrow we've signed at Falcons looks some player, was immense against Aus.
I wouldn't expect anything to do with Falcons to make the national press though.

It's pretty much there first team, ridiculous!
Wasps are gona get a spanking I feel!
Irish v Quins will be close, am not massively confident but our backline looks dangerous, JJ has been quality in pre-season.

what sarries team LLL?
Wasps was very good - best team I have seen in 3 seasons (at least) - can't wait to see how Launchbury goes at 6 and Wade running down the wing!
Robinson, Southall should make a big difference to the team.

Launchbury will struggle at 6 I think.
Gaskell works there because he is brilliant on the ground at rucks. Gets so many turnovers its unreal. Launchbury hasn't got this in his game from what I've seen.

Doesn't count this week as I'm injured. Both gotta be fit to play so this week is void for Charlie.

That's a little worrying.
Nothing against Farrell as he's a good youngster but Hodgson is head and shoulders above him. Really can't understand the thinking unless Hodgson needs some more training with the team or is carrying a knock

I think you've hit it on the head Pooly. Farrell will have been at 10 all pre season with Sarries assuming CH is going to the World Cup and will have set plans in place. CH got to earn his stripes again at Sarries. i suspect he will regret his move to Sarries in terms of game time

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
Wow that is an impressive Sarries side. Amazing how few players they've had called up for the WC - was feeling confident for Wasps before that...
Though Robinson could make the difference - Charlie Davies is also a very good player, think he could be one to watch in the AP this season.
What young players have come through - Mat normally expect 2-3 new youngsters at Glaws - any to shout about?
Steven - Launchbury played last 6-8 games of the season for Wasps at 6 and was very good there. Though think that could also be put down to him being unknown by other teams...

Im surprised you dont like Hodgson Matt. Probably been the best flyhalf of the premiership era. Never really international quality. Very similar to Donald in that regard. Top club level flyhalf. Fantastic attacking threat

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
Savage and Gareth Evans are 2 emerging players. Should be may's breakthrough season. Such a talent at 13 and quicker than sharples. Vainokolo has been great at 12 preseason.
Think Donald is better than ch by quite a bit more physical and can tackle. Even CH himself says he is a terrible tackler. Hodgson goes to pieces at times and for me is flaky. See Farrell as being a proper 10

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
:-) already done Pooly - I had my knuckles well and truly smacked - putting in a complaint as sure its breached my human rights...
i've tried to get as many of the top English talent as possible in my squad - could cause me a few headaches when they turn 21, but hey ho! Thinking that Ford, Launchbury, Wade and a few others could really stand up during the WC - apparently Ford is going to start a fair few games! Think he could be a superstar.
Although seeing a lot of talent come out of the Newcastle Academy, or should that be the Newcastle 'we make the players good and give them to Leicester' Academy...Its so wrong that you lose ytour top youngsters like that.

there are a few over age Chris. Tyler, Harrison, Caprice and maybe another if Pooly's right are over age for sure. If they weren't eligible for this years Under 20 then they are 21 or over as its my age group that we were at last season.

I thought you said you had sorted your squad out and cleared enough room for the over-age academy players Chris weeks ago and your only issue was updating your squad page? Pooly is right. Your over your squad limits again and have been for some while since Pete warned you a few months ago about academy players?
