Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
I think that is less of a problem than playing the same teams over and over again. The league will become staler, more quickly.
And you example it would be a freak of a random draw, and not be a frequently occuring problem.
I would also try and get 4 leagues, and have winners only in CL and 2nd in Europa.
Try and get it so that it is short, quick seasons.

Problem
Seed the teams?
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
Here's my thinking of twelve teams, trying to steer clear of the cream of Europe:
Tottenham
Liverpool
Arsenal
Everton
Valencia
Villareal
Atletico
Sevilla
Roma
Lazio
PSG
Bayer Leverkusen
and if we need 4 more:
Porto
Dortmund
Lyon
Ajax

Everton
Valencia
Villareal
Atletico
Sevilla
Roma
Lazio
PSG
Bayer Leverkusen
and if we need 4 more:
Porto
Dortmund
Lyon

Crossed my mind, but you would then always keep the big teams apart and restrict the chances of smaller teams. I think you've got to give the smaller teams a bigger chance to mix it up a bit, so I would have it as a completely random draw

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
Try and stop it from becoming predictable.
The Furious League, it was predictable who would be at the top and who would be at the bottom. The only times that was shaken up was Blackburn, when they benefited from a handful of default 2-0 wins, and Everton, who got the massive benefit of two dodgy transfer dealings

Gameweek 1: League 1 votes on League 2. League 2 votes on League 3. League 3 votes on League 1.
Gameweek 2: League 1 votes on League 3. League 2 votes on League 1. League 3 votes on League 2.
and so on ???

All managers vote on the games not in their league?

Yeah can do Afro. Just vote on result + Scores + scorers. No explanation (as arguments start)

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
I thought the same on voting on matches not in the same league.
How complicated do we want this to be as I thought contract lengths and wages could be introduced. Having a max wage for all the teams would stop clubs getting overpowered compared to the others.

Some leagues have tried it Hero, without much success. It is difficult to manage from my experience.
We have tried lots of things in the past. Remember the Stadium's idea Nick?

Other one I thought of as well as injuries why not yellow and red cards?
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
And Nick, if you don't put explanations, that leads to more arguments, with managers questioning how they could possibly have been given a loss.
How about PM voting so it is private with an explanation and then results are published with a summary explanation of the result, so managers have something to work on (e.g your midfield was thought to be weak, your wingers took the FBs to pieces, Heskey just doesn't score)
Each of the league runners could be responsible for being sent, calculating and publishing the results from a different league

Yeah. The profit generated from the extra seats versus the cost to build versus the time a season lasted just wouldn't fit together

I've read it Nick and it all looks safeage mate. Proper locked and loaded.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
BOOM thats what I want to hear Viva.
I just noticed something tho.
Top 2 from league go into Champions Cup
next 2 into Europa Cup
BUT with 4 teams it means everyone will be in a Euro comp.
I thought and based it on 6 teams to 2 teams miss out. Oooops

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
Then its just one team for Champions Cup and one team for Europa?
Why do we call it Champions Cup? Do you not have enough money to pay the full lisence for the real name?

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
Because it's not a league, it's a cup presumably?

Viva, one team means I get 3 teams in each cup comp lol.
Crap ive done this wrong as 2 teams would mean 6 team in a cup comp lol.
OK 1 team from each makes 3 teams, work it as a mini league so 3 matches, top 2 play in a final. BOOM done
Huh? Afro, whatever the offer ill accept. Im working on setting this up now and how no interest in wheeling and dealing to play one match today then not again.

It's basically if the person who you're sending it to has read it or not. If it's in outbox then they haven't read it yet, if it's sent then they have.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
Ok. I change my offer to £10m then I'll confirm
Nick - just sent through a PM, which will solve this problem Champions cup problem, better than your solution too

I see Hero.
Nick - does that mean you are not going to carry on in Furious League as well?
Please let us know, as Liam had a few people who were interested and we can fill the vacancy. Or Viva, what about that guy you found?

Hero I think you need to get rid of that, I don't want people to know if I've read thier message or not.
Also Hero I've left a message for you on Furious LEague.
That was confusing Nick, I think once its typed up on the pages it will be ok.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1
We need that function so we know that people have read their message to tell them they're about to get a ban from the site or they know they've been warned about something.

Afro, I thought the furious league was Done. I wouldnt of started this if you were carrying on.
Who reason in starting this was so the manager can come over, add new manager and BOOM new league with the twist of being a gameworld.

I thought we were carrying on with both in tandem, and the new league was just to freshen managers up and stop the bickering on Furious

Lads
My views:
Don't think there should be wages.
Voting should be done via PM - explanations required. When results are posted it comes with an explanation of the result.
Draw shouldn't be seeded - four teams in each group is too small IMO, six would be a good number. First gets into CL, Second into Europa, bottom four have an FA Cup (or equivalent)

Let's get this show on the road.
I think we have 12 definate managers. Do we want to try and find another 4/6, or get it moving.

Nah mighty. Nay Bother.
Afro, just leave it. Im not risking it for it to flop like all the other we tried before the Furious League because thats what will happen. Im telling you the amount of work that will need to be done in this league with matches every 3/4 days, TPs, injuries, laywers all for 3 seprate league and then an over all 2 euro comps, pre season Poopie like sponsors maybe boardroom etc.
Eventually people will start slacking here or in the Furious League and one of them will get neglected and fall apart.

When Liam comes on, someone ask him about the other mates he thought would be interested.
Problem is 1 or 2 more is no good. Needs to 12, 16 or 18 manager IMO

Also, if we mix it up rather than having an English league, a Spanish league, an Italian league we aren't forced to find four from each country. we can find 12/16/18 teams across Europe, who are as closely matched as possible
