Tried being nice , offered to take everyone out later for tea , but shes not happy still ......... could it be a woman thing ?

Perhaps. Maybe just give her some space. Take kids out... just act as is if all's OK?

Hopefully it will of blown over by the time she gets home from work , i wouldn't mind but i was only doing a mate a favour by swapping ... i dont like going to work at silly o'clock either . Who invented split shifts ?
