Montiel is heavy handed at times and is a sound technician, but the same can be said of Donaire. Donaire also has the advantage in speed and that bit of extra class in terms of his movement. Montiel came forward a lot against Hasegawa but if he gets reckless with Donaire he could end up walking onto the same kind of shot that took Darchinyan out. I think it'll be an exciting action packed bout with a lot of fast, ferocious exchanges. I just think Donaires speed and movement will be the difference between the two. I think montiel is smart and tough enough to take it the distance but I'm gonna say Donaire by UD in an exciting battle.

I think Montiel thrives on being the underdog and it served him well against Hasegawa, think he holds all the physical advantages regarding strength, size and power. To me that could be the deciding factor in this one

I've always thought Donaire was special ever since I saw him on setanta with the top rank cards a few years ago and have followed him ever since. I NEVER thought he would do that, I had him winning a close UD with some scares throughout the fight. That was a perfect left hook, makes you wonder if he has just been toying with his last opponents.... He said he sees fighters coming in and can time them with his amazing reflexes after that fight can't really argue with him. Take mayweather out of the equation and he is p4p number 2 there is no way marquez or martinez are higher than him now!
